Who cares. We took Watts, he is now delivering the goods and he is the type of player we need going forward. I'd prefer to have Martin/Jamar/Gawn doing our ruck work and to have Watts, than to replace one of our rucks with NicNat and not have Watts.

Right now it's just bad timing to be encouraging us to give money that'll go directly to the players. If the campaign was focused on raising money for something like pre-season Arizona trip or other football department upgrades/facilities/whatever then i think people would be inclined to put their money forward...

I really, really, really want to see Davis or Mcdonald in the side at some stage for Rivers. Both (particularly the review of McDonald in this particular game) seem to have the same strengths as Riv, but also better physically attributes than Jared? Warnock HAS to get an opportunity at another club next year... we should be very active in trying to offload him and someone else (Bate, Dunn, Maric... others) for O'Meara. Getting excited about Fitz too.

Yep. Any and all free time that the players have should be spent doing things related to the footy club. Some of them visiting Strauss in hospital yesterday just isn't enough, they should've been holding up a banner for the Casey boys to run through!! (i hope sarcasm detectors are working)

I cant remember a time where i was disappointed with Joel Mac after a game this year. Rivers BEST games are better than Mac's, but i would much prefer Joels consistency... Reserves playing sandy too ? Hopefully Fitzpatrick plays out the year in the Casey seniors. Had a rough trot with injuries but always comes back and kicks a bag in the reserves. Will be interesting to see where he is at this time next year.

We still need a new demon logo... put it on some scarves etc, i'm sure kids would like a little devil caricature more than the logo we have. Hell even i would and im in my 20s.

At either the Swans or Hawks game earlier in the year (cant remember which)... when the team sheets were put up on the scoreboard before the game, our coach was listed as 'Dean Laidley'. You know what angers me? If you're writing an academic article, a business report, etc, you cite and reference any quotes or figures you make to give your piece credibility. This is why i found it really hard to hear that he was sacked. Cant fault him as a bloke and always been so positive/talked highly of the club. If you didn't know otherwise you would've thought he spent his playing career at Melbourne.

Basically... they had no issues with Bailey prior to Saturday, then suddenly he needed to be sacked. That really, really feels like there was some sort of playing-group revolt...
