  1. you are actually sickened and disgusted with that comment made on an internet forum?
  2. my hatred for Damien Barrett is unparalleled. He speaks about footy as if he's reporting on the worlds biggest issues and i've never heard him come out with anything that isnt either over sensationalised or just a paraphrased version of what everyone else has been saying all week.
  3. If we go for Thomas i would hope we could keep Sylvia too.
  4. Maybe i dont watch him close enough, but i wouldnt consider him a leader.
  5. the club's website has a better one. Jamar and Watts listed as 1-2 weeks
  6. what about when we met in the preseason comp and lost
  7. i dont want the MFC to become a retirement village for Pies players who want to finish their careers on big pay cheques! Not sure if Dale Thomas would make much of a difference to our side anyway, would prefer to target 2-3 guys who are younger and a rung below Thomas, but who could come into their prime at the Dee's. Guys like Prestia or some of the other Gold Coast mids with a few years under their belts or maybe even older guys like Foley from the tigers who still has a few years left in him but cant get a run ?
  8. if Toumpas is recalled after 1 good game at Casey i'll be dissapointed. In: Dawes, Fitzpatrick, Mager Out: Nicholson, Spencer, Grimes, Terlich Frawley Garland Dunn McDonald Strauss Bail M Jones Evans Howe Fitzpatrick Sylvia Byrnes Dawes Tapscott Ruck: Gawn, N Jones, McKenzie IC. Kent, Trengove, Magner, Viney Gawn to play 1st ruck after settling into the AFL team over the last couple of weeks. Fitzpatrick to get a go at playing forward / relief ruck. A position that neither pederson or Sellar has been able to make their own. Magner is a crucial in as he can find the pill, and Grimes out will hurt us in that regard. Mckenzie and McDonald stay in as playing against gold coast may help them gain some confidence
  9. not a bad assesment bb59. you've been nicer to some blokes and harsher on others than i would have been, but the end result paints the same sorry picture - we're not good enough in 2013
  10. yeah i never understood why so many clubs were happy to trade him. Quality finisher. glad to hear he is still around the club!
  11. Sounds plausable. did whoever you spoke to elabortae on tengove being put on ice? i guess what im asking is is he carrying an injury that requires further rehabilitation or by ice do you mean dropped to casey?
  12. 40 points in todays game is nothing. The fitness and skill level of todays sides, especially at the top of the table is unprecedented. Teams can score at a goal every couple of minutes when on a roll. yes there are clearly weaker teams (GWS, GC, us, dogs etc) and maybe a couple of standouts at the top, but i actually think the top 10-11 sides are pretty even.
  13. We lost to brisbane, and neeld said they were a good side...
  14. He's still better than most of our mid fielders
  15. blease might have been close to a run off the half back flank i reckon. His pace would be handy for chasing the lads formally known as Satanta's little helpers
  16. i would really love for Dunn and Strauss to have good games. I'm sick of liking the look of their names on the team sheet on a friday arvo but cursing their name come monday!
  17. have a glass of water between every second pint mate!
  18. that is classic! its pretty much spot on for a south london accent!
  19. any chance of a thread that isnt calling for somone to be sacked? We're turning into Jr Carro's!
  20. i think the lack of training reports reflects the general jaded nature of supporters. The lads can train the hosue down all they like, but now we're into the season propper it would be nice to see them play well on match day, not just train well. Neeld's press conferences also seem jaded. Saying things like "a 5 goal loss on the road is a small win for us" and "brisbane are a very good side" is basically the words of a broken man who doesnt believe we can win
  21. Gawn is more helpful in the forward line than spencer, so i'd keep gawn's role the same as the last 2 games i think the big spencil will get 1st crack at the center bounce.
  22. I want to know how we are going to go about helping Jones when the enevitable hard tag comes from Armfield? Surely we learnt a lesson last week when Raines did a job on him?
