i think the lack of training reports reflects the general jaded nature of supporters. The lads can train the hosue down all they like, but now we're into the season propper it would be nice to see them play well on match day, not just train well. Neeld's press conferences also seem jaded. Saying things like "a 5 goal loss on the road is a small win for us" and "brisbane are a very good side" is basically the words of a broken man who doesnt believe we can win

Gawn is more helpful in the forward line than spencer, so i'd keep gawn's role the same as the last 2 games i think the big spencil will get 1st crack at the center bounce.

I want to know how we are going to go about helping Jones when the enevitable hard tag comes from Armfield? Surely we learnt a lesson last week when Raines did a job on him?

Moloney was one of our best midfielders. Apart from years where he was injured, 2012 was his only really down year. He had his faults, but which of our players is faultless? I believe he was mismanaged by Neeld to the detriment of the the playing list and the club.

Jones is the exact type of person that clubs want to draft - he's loyal and driven to get the best out of himself. He strikes me as the type of bloke that would turn down offers from rival clubs because he's a loyal bloke. He plays like he is loyal to the club too, regardless of who is coaching

I can see ~3 changes with Kent or Taggert, Fitzpatrick or Sellar, and Dunn are all posibilities at the expense of Rodan, Pederson & Watts (inj)

I actually think its only a matter of time until one team is relocated to Tassie and another to the NT, maybe even New Zealand. Unfortunatley unless we become a power house we are inline for this. The AFL get bored with the status quo, they meddle with the rules and are always trying to expand the comp. Whether its the Northern Territory Demons, the Tasmanian Kangaroos & the NZ Saints, im not sure but i think it will happen in time. Tasmanians love their footy, i dont see them changing allegances just becasue a team becomes tasmanian. Im not sure whether its a good idea to relocate poor performing teams, and the Saints have a strong following down there...

Great post Ron The line i quoted is the area that causes so much emotion in us all as supporters/members of the MFC. Its totally demoralising that our list is so bad, yet we have had such a good run in drafts over the last 4-5 years. We have been patient since 2006! Unfortunatley the past FD and recruiters arent around any more so people take out all of their anger on Neeld, who was percevied to have been brought in post Bailey to take us up the ladder, not burn us to the ground and start again! What you say is right though.

i'm pretty sure that the use of the cream can be found to be 'prohibited' if it was used to enhance performance. For example cold and flu tablets are sold over the counter, but when used in sport is classified as a banned substance due to the pseudoeffidrine. Whether or not serious injury recovery is performance im not sure.Trengove wasnt putting it on his foot to reduce fat!

there is no silver bullet to the situation we find ourselves in, thats why everyone is at a loss to know whether we should sack Neeld or not! Woosha, in my opinion, is not a good coach but as a premiership captain at the Eagles he is able to commant a great deal of respect from player at that club. He has always had good assistants around him. I think Chocko WIlliams is a very good coach, but has got a comfortable job at the tigers and doesnt seem to be overly keen to coach again from what i see Roos? Comfortable in life after coaching and would not come out of retirement for a role at the demons Thompson - likley to be handed a lengthy ban for his fingerprints on the dank/wepon saga Clarko - good coach, but has always had a good list, not sure that he would be keen for the Demon's job after coaching a highly skilled outfit at Hawthorn for so long

Sue, im a believer that whenever there is smoke there is generally fire, and the following issues have raised my concerns; Public slagging of Davey & Watts before he knew them Davey / Misfud allegations incumbent leadership group being relieved of their duties Reigning B&F winner and VC being stripped of his leadership duties and spending 1/2 the season sulking in the 2's radical changes to playing list in off season (Moloney, Rivers, Green, Martin, Petterd, Bate etc etc etc) None of these are clear evidence, but combined i believe it tends to paint a picture of a coach/playing group that have had, or are having 'issues'

thanks for at least replying and further clarifying your concerns. I'm guessing your talking about a past #24? Theres no doubt that players who have been around since the day bailey was appointed would hate the fact they are going to be part of a 2nd rebuild, thus sacrifice their playing careers to a loosing cause. I'm also quite sure that they are over hearing Neeld quote the games ex[perience line, when he helped push out Moloney & Rivers - two of our more senior players....
