  1. If you were you being deliberately ironic, then well played. If not....
  2. Posted this on the sister thread but better here: According to the updated Age article linked above the drug is Clenbuterol 'Clenbuterol is a drug used for asthma that is also often used by body builders as a body sculpting drug that helps burn fat and build muscle. It is this effect of creating leaner meat with a higher muscle to fat ratio that has seen it used in meat production in some countries. Famously in 2011 more than 100 Mexican footballers tested positive to the drug but were cleared after it was established the drug as used in farming in the country and was often present in meat in the country.' What's the bet they claim they ate contaminated meat? By the by i look at the Hun website and there is nothing about it. Love to be a fly on the wall at HWT right about now as they scramble to get some info to report. Beaten to the scoop again

  4. Lachy Keefe is pretty highly rated
  5. Fans and merde come to mind.
  6. Another threat by dank to sue people. Get on with dank old boy. Funny also that all along he has said he wouldn't let the players cop it yet says he has detailed records but won't release them until his much talked about civil court cases
  7. Won't be an issue if the correct penalty is applied
  8. I loved this line from Warner the Wally in the article linked above: 'AFL boss Gillon McLachlan has publicly stated the league must accept some level of responsibility for the saga.' He has stopped bothering with any pretense that he is not a mouthpiece for EFC. Now he is giving evidence for the prosecution (ie in the fantasy case where the players sue the AFL) By the way the Gil v Alan Jones interview in that article is hilarious. Jones is unbelievable. Attack from the get go and accusing ASADA of corruption. Wow
  9. I would say more troll than killjoy
  10. Bloody global warming
  11. Beat me it to it:The hun version: Player in legal action against the AFL and Essendon
  12. There was also one that quoted Viney as saying the toump was the best trainer and the player he would pick
  13. Indeed. I started posting on DL about the time watts and nick nat were coming into their third year and the call we made a big error taking Watts were much, much louder and more widespread than the debate about Wines and Watts. There was barely anyone who argued we made the right choice. Most posters were incredulous any suggestion could even be made we made the right choice. Nik Nat was AA in his second year was he not and all and sundry pointed out how stupid we were not taking this once in a generation player. Well that noise has died down and there is a chance that in the next 2-3 years the majority view might be we made the right call. Most of the black and white, tunnel view brigade would have said such a possibility two years into their career was impossible - that anyone saying such a thing had to be delusional . Funny then that now people are saying it is impossible to imagine the Toump being a better player than WInes.
  14. There are none so blind as those who will not see
  15. Or perhaps it was the one where the toump gut ran to receive the ball on the wing, ran 20 meters and delivered a beautifully weighted lace out kick to a leading Hogan (who dropped it 5 meters in the clear, something he seems to escaped all criticism for - it would have sealed the game if he marked and kicked truly). Or maybe the previous NAB game where he repeatedly attacked the contest, including one brilliant effort where he went to a 2-1 contest in our forward pocket, won it and set up a goal.
  16. Not everyone. I've said this before but it is simply too early to be definitive about whether we made the right or wrong choice. Of course the evidence thus far suggests Wines will be a better player (and i agree at this point in time McCrae actually looks the best player) but again as I've posted before history is full of examples where the early call on players has been wrong. The best recent (and most relevant) example? Substitute the names Nik Nat and Watts for Wines and Toumpas and exactly the same sort of black and white statements were being made by most football fans, including posters here on DL. If BRFE had posted after their first two seasons that everyone accepts that we made the wrong choice taking Watts instead of Nik Nat few would have disagreed. Whilst many might still argue we made the wrong choice I doubt it is an overwhelming majority (here on DL or more generally). If Watts has a good year and Nik Nat has another indifferent one then this time next year the majority might even say the dees made the right choice.
  17. Oh and on the AFL being corrupt, what tosh. I reckon Wolfie you've been drinking the EFC, News corp Kool aid. Dees2014 and BB might have been sipping on the same drink given their belief the drug tribunal are AFL patsies. Funny how little reporting there was of Middleton's praise for the AFL and the process they followed with ASADA and the investigation. Having a respected judge look at all the evidence about processand come to the conclusion that the AFL (and AD in particular) did theire job very well hardly fits the AFL are corrupt narrative
  18. My thoughts exactly. For gods sake he is the club doctor. And the longest standing AFL one at that. Perhaps if he heard it was going on elsewhere and he was concerned (as suggested by his infamous letter) he might have shown some blooody leadership and spoken to other AFL docs about his concerns or even the AMA. Weak
  19. Swan couldn't even spell Rastafarian let alone know what they are
  20. Its just so crazy it could work
  21. Just makes me like h even more. Respect. Jah.
