  1. 6. Garland 5. Watts 4. Trengove 3. Jones 2. Sylvia 1. Grimes
  2. Watts has been great really enjoyed his intensity. Trennas has done some good things. Happy with Garls and Grimes but FAR OUT BAILEY COME UP WITH A NEW PLAN! WERE IN TROUBLE!
  3. Another good performance in the 2's and another lackluster Dunn performance and he'll be back. However, we would have taken a 23rd over there as cover - Will Ricky even play in the 2's this week?
  4. I'd be happy to. Trade him for a fourth round pick
  5. Also we'll stay there for another week (unless Bulldogs beat Freo in Freo then we are 8th)
  6. Rivers is a good third tall not our 2nd tall. Once Frawley gets back he'll look a lot better. We need to bring in some bigger bodies against Hawthorn next week so all for Newton.
  7. I think we are going to be beaten and I still think it will be 5 goals but I will be interested to see how we go. No Frawley will hurt but their backline looks weaker than it has last time we played them and our forward line is stronger. If we can get it out of the centre our forwards may put up a big fight. And who's going to play on Buddy??
  8. Metres away from it - looked incredible! Just knocked him flat and went straight on playing. Never expect that from a first gamer but then again Tappy's no normal first gamer.
  9. Poor Spence, thought he was going to get a bit more of a run this year but Stef (now he's playing well) is just too versitle. I dont think we have another player who can play back, forward and ruck.
  10. 6 Malony 5 Sylvia 4 Tapscott 3 Grimes 2 Jamar 1 Martin
  11. Agree with Raz. Maybe someone like Bennell coming on who can then just run out the game. I thought Seaby wasnt bad - there were times he was beating a dominant Jamar due to Jamr just being tired.
  12. Tappy probably not for rising star. A lot of the first years had great games - maybe behind Curnow and Beamys was meant to be pretty good last night to. But will definatly figure into the thinking for the end of the year =)
  13. He looks better, his work around the ground was good and he is making some smart football decisions and getting into the right positions. Things like when everyone else was wing side of a ball up in Sydney's fwd 50 he'd be goal side. Every game we give him is worth 2 in the 2's and there are at least 4 players id have on the block before him *cough*Addam*cough*
  14. Really happy with Tapscott he looks like a lock for the next few weeks at least if not the season. The other one I was happy with was Jones. Yes his disposal was abismal but everytime he had a turnover or a bad kick he went hard and tried to recover it, more often then not laid the tackle that did. Missed Frawley didnt we.....
  15. There was one comment about Sylvia breaking his hand, but I cant find anything on it.
  16. Without Morton, Frawley would Tommy Mac be a possibility due to the overload of midfielders? Ah - injured - never mind
  17. Ok. The most logical business and economic outcome if we split from Casey is that Casey would no longer exist. They are not financially viable without an affiliation. Our 30 year contract with the City of Casey still stands. Therefore, the Melbourne Demons reserves play and train at Casey, uses the Casey facilities, basically replaces Casey FC. All Casey players will then be assessed by Melbourne and the ones we need will be offered VFL contracts, the others (such as Fev) will need to find new homes. With a push from the other AFL clubs to have stand alone VFL clubs I would be very suprised if we didnt follow suit in 2012.
  18. Not a great interview. Pick 32 for Hale and Warnock is a required player and isnt going anywhere.
  19. This leaves us with 7 unsigned..... Warnock, Bruce, Jones, Johnson, Moloney, Blease, McNamara. and go....
  20. Jones is 22! He is still developing. The fact that he has played 92 games is great for someone that young. (same age as Jurrah, Frawley, Garland, Pettard, Wonna) So before we all trade him out at least give him another 2 seasons to either kick on or fade away!
  21. 3) To have recruited an Elite Key Defender & 2ndly a Tall Key Forward. I know this isnt the post for this but Ive been wondering this for a while Key Defenders - Isnt Garland going to be (if not already) another key defender with Frawley, Rivers and Warnock why are we finding a 4th? Tall Key Forward - Are we talking 195+?? Watts (196), Jurrah (190), Pettard (185), Dunn (192) (has come along way) are not that short. Morton and Bate (192) are there as well. Plus you have to consider Fitzpatrick (200). Im not sure why we need another tall key forward. Sure its nice to have depth but shouldnt we look at the best players availible in the draft and develop the ones we have instead of trying to find yet another position in a crammed 22??
  22. How did all 3 of them end up in Shep?
