Spot on to what I saw. I hope that if he stays back, he works on an intercept game as well.
-
Defended really well. Very much lock down. Most goals I saw were kicked when he was on the bench. Didn’t see him lose a one on one. The bad, a little lazy with disposal. Feels early second rounder.
-
Yes he is. He’s dominated U16 and playing up at the moment for finals.
-
Prassads goal at the 14 min mark is great as well!
-
All our kids are still in bar Mentha who was injured so might not have made next week anyway. yze - 19, 1 goal Ah-Mu - 3 goals, 4 hit outs Mentha - 7 touches Andrew - 12, 7 rebound 50, 7 hit outs Prasard, 1 goal
-
They are up on the app. Levi went nuts, same with Reid. A kid called Yze had 19 and a goal

Potential Father Son Prospect Noah Yze

Good to hear. Couldn’t have worked harder. He’s going to be a role player, but I’d love to see him on a list. the other one I’ve heard a lot about is Ricky Mentha. Apparently just a great kid. -
He Could legit be anything. The height, leap, reading of the flight - first round. But down back you can be out of sight if you are playing a lock down role. I hope he plays forward / ruck next year for the Allies and we can see his full skills on display. And as good as the Academy systems are, it’s different from the live and breathe of vic. So who knows what the hype would be if he was at Caulfield Grammar.

Stats aren’t out yet for today, but Ah-Mu kicked 3.1 yesterday. Boding well for 2025 -
2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2024/08/13/scouting-notes-2024-afl-u17s-vic-metro-vs-queensland/ https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2024/08/12/scouting-notes-2024-afl-u17s-vic-country-vs-nsw-act/ Not mentioned, but "tough day to play forward for Vic Metro" and their key forward didn't do anything for 3 quarters is a good sign for Kalani. Ah-Mu kicked a goal and set up at least one other. -
Quickly on the NGAs, AMW could be up for a List A promotion due to the games he has played and there is a club who has requested that Riak Andrew and Ricky Mentha be trialed at the State Combine (generally means only 1 club has asked the question). Both are potential Category B's for us. Thus, don't be surprised to see both potentially be picked up by the Dees and Yze on the Cat A rookie list.

Gawn Rivers Langdon Bowey Sparrow Fritch
-
Football is a secondary to Langdon, its between him and the rest of his life. I haven't heard anything, I thought the same thing earlier this year that it was odd and I wonder if he is considering retiring early, but yes, huge loss. He could help us out and get a trade and then retire as soon as the paper work is done 🤣

Played well. Not disssimilar to how Brown went last year. Stuck to his role, did the team thing. His running impressed me and so did his tackling. I would have liked to have seen him kick the sealer instead of pass it off to Billings, but showed great aweness. Went too hard at times to give away some free kicks, but seemed a little better than the Casey listed players debuts I remember. I can see us rooking him, but not national draft. And probably think a Fritch or Jefferson level of development. Would need a couple of years. -
Booooooo!!!!! Yze runs to take an outlet mark. Got it to Kent field and then bolted to the pocket and got it back. Then set up billing’s for the goal instead of kicking the sealer himself.
-
Laurie’s had a really good second half. There is some terrible choices under pressure, but he’s the one who keeps being given the ball / finding the ball under pressure - so there is that.
-
We’ve really missed Jefferson up forward today. And probably Schache for that matter. It’s not surprising that McAdam has struggled without Jefferson setting him up / being at his feet.
-
Hunter and Woey are on ice.
-
Stats don’t look great, but agreed that a) I’d play him again in the vfl this year and b) there is a rookie spot for him.
-
And I do wonder if he can play the role We are making sparrow play better than sparrow?
-
Good: Fullerton around the ground, Seaston through packs, Howes sure hands and kicking, Pup’s intensity, BBB all around game, Woey’s class. Frustrating: Billings and Laurie who are much better players than they are showing today. Tomlinson is not as dominant (conditions? Game plan of Dons?), Hore is finding his feet again, Schache not gelling with the backline yet, young KPP - not a day for them. mcAdam is out there, but not having an impact.
-
Ben Brown very good today. That was his goal. He was the one who got the intercept out of nothing.
-
Kynan Brown did his best not to concede a goal, but his teammates were adamant to keep making mistakes and he could not clean up a 4th in a row….
