....the integrity of the game is in serious danger. Why do we keep hearing this and yet it is so incredibly selectively investigated and acted upon?
-
Ah..."but the integrity of the game is paramount!"

Nothing new this year - our most frustrating player of the last decade. He is strong, can break packs, and break games, is a great kick, but just doesn't do it often enough to be anything more than a potential top grade player. I suspect (like many here) that it is in his head: Daniher was never going to get inside his head and turn him around, nor Bailey. I do think and sincerely hope that Neeld can do it, and cajole and / or push and / or embarrass Col into pulling his finger out and putting in a full season of his best. IF that happens, I do believe he could be a top 5 Brownlow contender.

Quickness of mind, thought and action is as important as leg speed: hello Diesel Williams vs Cale Morton. And having good backing from and reliance on committed teammates improves that quickness . GO DEES - bring it on.

When a fan says he "ran past the boys at the tan" it could be a worry - presumably, or hopefully, in the opposite direction :-) -
Another gem of an article from Martin Flanagan

Does anyone know how to set up on line petitions? I have directly contacted the MCC who didn't answer. -

Sorry but I think you missed my (attempted) irony there. "On the net" where all of us here are as we read this ! -

I think it is bleeding obvious without your Caro-like "inside information at HQ".The blaring "music" and other PA intrusions at all intervals and pre- match at the MCG certainly spoils my enjoyment of the game - one of the pleasures having been an opportunity to engage in conversation both with mates with whom I go to matches, and with strangers one encounters there. But, no...the AFL and / or the MCG have chosen to spoil this with their inane and often poorly delivered din! Honestly, if they introduce the garbage "music" and meaningless banter after goals that one hears at NBL (and I beleive at 20/20 cricket, though I have never attended and rarely watch this parody of the true game) I would seriously probably stop attending. -
Well, that, the glass is overflowing, is certainly a refreshing change from the glass half empty talk that we hear so much of here. Of course some will worry about the overflow staining the table cloth, but as I have mentioned before there will also be some who complain about our winning margin in our successive premiership wins! No pleasing some folk.

I had to Google it as it didn't appear in two online dictionaries. Haven't ever seen the guy but he must ge an awful sight!!And I just cannot stop laughing every time I try to picture him.. And, by the way, certainly not a single chode amongst those listed! :-)))))

(shhhh, Caro is waiting with her poisoned pen ... we don't use that word anymore, if we ever did)

Absolutely, totally, completely (check your Thesaurus for further descriptors) different players and roles so hard to compare in terms of current value to the team; in terms of total class though Watts is well ahead.
-
.......and please tell me that this mate of yours is a Collingwood or Richmond supporter ;-)
-
"We raised it to new depths" - maybe appropriate in reference to Caro.

Depends how well drilled you are in the English language

old dee - you seem to not be only one who sees the glass as half empty rather than half full, but maybe the three quarter full glass as.....aghast, quarter empty.I hope the guys can get out and give us all a season to remember forthe right reasons,
-
Sure, but maybe as long as the great man, RDB, is alive any question of who should be given #31 should be run by him?
-
Didn't Sam Newman have one in Canterbury Road, Middle Park?

Thanks for the report on what actually went on........but a bit concerned that some seemed to be only doing virtual drills, on the net :-) -
He would always give 100 percent. Did he play in any of the alleged tanking games? He should be called as a star witness - no way he wouldn't go out to do his best, every game.

I am confused. How can he now be on our list as he wasn't traded and draft is ahead? MODS: If he isn't can the header please be changed? But breaking news re Bartram's retirement will free up one more space.
