  1. Your opinion, not mine. Question remains though - will he remain injury free for a pre season then a full season?
  2. Free agent = free.
  3. I guess in reality we lost BBB a while ago, and haven't lost Schache because we haven't actually used him. Tommo moving on will definitely leave a tall defence depth gap, especially as we now seem to have 'locked in' (as much as anyone is locked in) Disco and Petty as forwards. See who we draft, and possibly trade in for needs. It will be an interesting off season and preseason. Luker may well fill a need, as a developing tall - I hope all here remember that calls take time, and this will be his first preseason at AFL intensity.
  4. I have previously been totally agnostic to these board discussions, but as another poster mentioned in the Tomlinson thread, IF, IF, IF she actually said to a gathering “
At aNSWDemons event some 2 years ago, where Roffey was a guest speaker, she stated that “you don’t win finals with players like Tomlinson, he won’t be picked”. then she needs to walk tomorrow. Divisive, unsupportive of players, and sticking her nose into footy matters when she can’t find us a home, which was her selling point. Like Kamala Harris, who was given one job, securing the Mexico border, Roffey was given one job, finding us a home. FAIL FAIL FAIL.
  5. Unfortunately we have zero say in a free agent.
  6. Did our “defence expert” raise the issue that Moore played on for a while without having a concussion assessment?? If this occurred will Collingwood be sent a ‘please explain’? Did he ask if Moore, allegedly concussed, was reported as having beers with team mates in the days after the alleged concussion which is at odds with accepted concussion management if not mandatory requirements? Did the “impartial” tribunal chairman consider these issues? Or was this all preordained? Big club “victim” of an “also ran club” player? The head is sacrosanct except when it isn’t.
  7. If that is true she should get on her bike and leave, now, without a gold watch. Absolutely appalling to speak like that about any player to any gathering, even if you do think that. Keep your nose out of football matters, and just get your one job done, finding us a home. That is truly one of the most upsetting posts I have read. 😡😡😡😡
  8. If we had kept Bedford we would probably have lost / giver up Chandler, who IMO has been a very important pressure small forward for us. And bear in mind, Melksham has only had half a season of crash and bash in 2024, which may start him a bit ahead of the game at the start of 2025
  9. Does the AFL wonder why some people suggest that they are an absolutely and totally corrupt body when the MRO and the Tribunal chair are both Collingwood people when there are such contradictory outcomes when Melbourne played Collingwood last week and in 2023 finals? My guess is that they either don’t know or more likely just don’t care.
  10. Trade for CP5??
  11. Was he getting behind his opponent to prepare for a 1 in 100 opportunity for a specie instead of getting in front for a 1 in 5 chance of a crumb? Doesn’t sound like a team first move
  12. He. He. Who are we talking about? Sparrow? Do you know that we aren’t? Again, “he”. Who?
  13. Sad that it didn’t work out for Josh and for us, but it didn’t. Does that mean that FullArton will get another year (maybe he does anyway but I am unsure of his contract status)?
  14. I am unable to download or open the clip but you have again raised an issue that the AFL refuse to address and will not until some tragic outcome occurs such as paraplegia or even death The guy who was in effect head butted would forever be made to carry guilt just because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time ANY player going headlong into an opponent, deliberately or otherwise, must be penalised and certainly never rewarded. It happens all too often but the hypocrites at the AFL turn a blind eye and will do so until disaster hits.
  15. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Richmond voluntary moving to Hobart to become the Tassie Tigers, with MFC to acquire Punt Road as HQ and training ground. You read it first here.
  16. If he had a “ normal “ run up would he not have worn out his knees so soon? đŸ™„đŸ€—
  17. A very familiar feeling for all of us here 😱
  18. Cripps always does and gets away with it. Maybe they will retrospectively review the score review đŸ€—
  19. Just turned on Carlton game 2 throws in a couple of minutes by Blues ignored Cripps yet again mouthing off at umpires ignored
  20. ... and don't forget Premiership player Minivan, who will almost certainly be playing finals this year, unlike his ex team mates. 😀 PS when I re read this post I was going to correct the autocorrect, but ... no, why? Probably a reasonable alternative spelling. Thanks. You are reminding me once again of one of my big hobby horses. Players who lead with their heads into a contest need to be penalised every time, to break the habit instead of their neck. especially when it is Darcy "Spleenbuster" Moore
  21. Maybe Mr Fence doesn’t want to be labelled a blasphemist.
  22. This was very different from any of his priors. Moore contributed 100% to this one.
  23. IF his appearance of being UNinterested is not related to some sort of niggling injury then what would we get for him? One of my decades long queries - do we have a sports psychologist - may be very relevant here. Does Max Viney have any official role in the club? I know he has been doing grappling work with JV7 and others, and AFLW, but could he help get our whole team to tackle, and break tackles better?
  24. Thanks Redleg. Best description of the episode yet. Had this involved Daicos, Cripps, Cameron there would be absolutely nothing to see, in fact they would have earned a free kick for low contact.
