And the name worries me a bit too. 🙄

Let’s hope he plays in as many Dees premierships as did RDB#31 #6 and #11 shaking hands, like friends? Where is the mongrel? 🤗 JVR has already sent a message to Sam - Sam, are you up to the challenge? I really and sincerely hope so. And Aaron Naughton ?…. didn’t have a great GF but then he wasn’t alone I guess. Overwhelmed like most of his mates. vide supra And VFL park probably had an ice storm Mac Andrew?

?? 🤔

If The Emperor secedes will WCE and Free still be eligible for AFL? "...The core of this premiership team can enjoy sustained success and get handsomely paid too along the way If they stick together..." ...and set up for life after footy too if they play their cards right and make sensible financial decisions. The world is at their feet.

.... unless the kicker knows that the intended recipient is likely to double back behind the defender, which Fritter is so good at. I can guarantee 100% that if they put me on the AFL field even in my youth I would get zero clangers. (0/0 = 0%)

Yes. Sparrow is becoming the brute that we have always had in JV, and IMO his disposal skills are way ahead of what JV’s were at this stage of his growth. A joy to watch I agree that Yze’s influence may be much underestimated and under appreciated

Maybe you have good reason to be - testing appears to be voluntary; and this is allowed in the state that has had the harshest restrictions / repressions. I guess it shows money talks.

If one gets a hell of a lot of ball in very close far more room for error. Clangers as a percentage of total disposals could be a slightly better, though still very imperfect, reflection of a player’s worth and contribution.

Who will be in our side for the 2022 first round?

From what I heard it was never at all -

Although no premiership team has ever played all together again (which I find an interesting fact) one would have to say that the GF like up would be the default, into which some aspirant would have to force his way. But preseason will undoubtedly bring its usual ups and downs and it is far too early to make any calls. -
I agree that the one spot we really need to work on is a back up / eventual successor tap ruckman. Other than that JT seems to have all bases covered, at least for now.

Maybe a 16 team 2022 season sans WA?? That would certainly stir up the sandgropers
-
You mean the 2021 PREMIERSHIP TEAM

FYI an Economist article on the effects of covid on (some) soccer players. 20220108_footballers.pdf

Incredible composure and disposal from someone with so little senior experience. Could be quite good once he settles in 🙄 -

Paraphrasing Aristotle, and / or Erasmus' translation, But this particular Sparrow makes me very happy, and makes my whole year, not just the spring of 2021; and that (not really brief but ongoing) period of happiness does in fact make me supremely blessed and happy (though also very hungry for more). -
I really do not like the thought of the last touch OOB free - IMO it would only encourage a player shepherding the ball OOB without even trying to keep it in play, and also unfairly penalise the spoil by a deep defender or a disputed marking contest. But deliberate needs to be actually deliberate - I know the R 23 Brayshaw absolutely absurd penalty ultimately worked in our favour, but the [censored] who made that call clearly had zero feel for the game or the situation.

Driving the head into a tackle is one of my very pet hates, even more than the Selwood duck. It is extremely dangerous and will result in a broken neck if not stamped out, with the poor guy who has been in effect head butted being plagued with scorn and guilt. Still I wonder how well it will be enforced.

Bad enough having to listen to cr@p so called music and other rubbish pre game and at every break to the G. Really, what is the point? Hopefully not drawn and quartered. One quarter of Spargo would be pretty small. -
Agree re Hunt’s usage - but Langdon, Harmes, ANB and others have worked on their disposal presumably helped by Chocko or Yze : hopefully Jayden can lift this aspect of his game too.
-
Maybe he is still recovering from that (possibly) game changing assault by that dwarf on 25 September? 🤭
-
…. rather the days of the $1.50* flagon of claret, around the era of our previous flag. * erratum. Back then of course it was 15 shillings.

As long as we wait for a suitable stable safe surface - horror memories of #5 Ox on some second rate training surface preseason ?1994 😡😱

Nothing nearly that fancy, or dust free, in Kal.

Daniel handed over the baton in the GF. Has anyone identified “that bloke” or has he self identified? Such a iconic reflection of what so many of us felt at the time. Congratulations whoever you are. We all love you and woukd love to see you at a game Are you a Demonlander?
