Low Attendance
Is that for tonight’s match ?

Low Attendance
I still think there is a good deal of covid and now flu fear deterring some from getting into a crowded train. Add in the mandatory reserved seat which deters those who may make a late call on attending, and those who like to seat in a specific area but can’t. With large infilled areas higher in the stands, under cover, yet one may be allocated a bottom deck seat in the open, many won’t come if weather threatens. Is this booked seat stuff the new norm or will it lift if this pandemic passes and another one doesn’t follow?

NON-MFC: Round 12, 2022
Are they still mentally crushed by what the Mighty Dees did to them in the GF 2021? They look very fragile.

NON-MFC: Round 12, 2022
…. and getting away with it.

Tasmanian AFL Team
Maybe pause would be even better. 🙄

TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Maybe even his last leg ? Has been a great contributor, especially in the finals 2021, but surely must be nearing retirement.

TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Sydney
I remember mid 2021 there was a bit of doom and gloom here .... but come the business end of the season, bang, bang, bang etc. I have faith in Demons.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Majak? Mitch Brown? This is a Weed thread.

Sydney Appealing Buddy Ban
Dermie and intelligence have never been aquatinted DubDee - haven’t heard from the High Court of Australia yet. 🤔

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
I would think more along the lines of maybe Tommo playing back releasing Petty to go forward, if the forward structure fails to fire.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
Depth at the selection table is one thing, but losing one and having the other tall defender lame within a game, would leave any team struggling, especially against a team with plenty of big marking options up forward. Sure, in hindsight having Tomlinson instead of Dunstan as medisub would have helped, but nobody can predict these things and a mid / medium or small forward is, generally, the preferred option. Disappointing second half but I for one am not cutting my wrists of microwaving my membership. Let's hope the guys can be hurt by this and come out fighting Saturday.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Sorry to say but I think you are right - especially given the history of the tribunal and "star" vs "unknown" players.

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Frankston
He is a good club man And IMVHO Mitch Brown should replace Weed next week. I had thought that JVR could have been a chance but missed this week with “illness”.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
And JVR, which is particularly sad for his as he could have possibly be looking at a debut in place of Weed next week. If Goody was Chris Scott 😮 he would have used this an an excuse and queried why the game wasn’t postponed 🙄

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Frankston
KC, and other regular watchers - is Turner anywhere near ready for debut given May out and Petty sore. I would think Tomlinson would be first cab of the rank, but heaven forbid were both missing …. ???

NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
Just a thought re dissent rules - could / should the free have been reversed after all the vitriol directed clearly at the umpire by the Richmond players?
-
POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
As was only scoring 1.6 in the second half - a part of the game in which we usually pull away from our opponents. I wonder if, like mid 2021, it relates to training loads at least in part.

Tasmanian AFL Team
Honestly, were we not performing as we have been the last couple of years, it would be easy to just walk away from AFL the way it is being run. And an odd number of teams with unfair bye scheduling would be the final straw

Taylor Walker
Sounds like Norf list management. Sell off a proven goal kicker who becomes a Premiership FF, then pick up an older one with cultural baggage.

NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
So he will be there then? AFL specialty

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Frankston
When are the lineup announced?
-
NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
"If they are consistent, he gets a week at least". ... so he will get off then. Not so sure ... there was a free against Tigers earlier in the game when they dissented about a non decision, as I recall

NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
Maybe he didn't notice the dissent 😎
-
NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
What a bizarre explanation by the umpire - "not unreasonable that he didn't hear the whistle"- doesn't usually matter as far as I have noticed.
-
NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
Presumably not the umpire for G v M round 23 2021 - who firstly paid the absurd deliberate OOB, then the 50 for Lever to pass to Max.
