  1. ..and crocodiles .. and the other 10% in jail or on parole But back to the nitty gritty - Goody handled that incredibly calmly and logically. We are in good hands, I believe. The big question is can the on field team mentally lift on Monday to give the Magpies a good old fashioned flogging? It will be a true test of footy and of character - a season defining game.
  2. Grossly overrated, and presumably grossly overpaid. Doesn't seem to have his heart in it.
  3. Blues midfield and forwards are rather scary, and do seem to connect very nicely. I seriously hope that our team is watching this tonight - preferably as a group with Goodwin commenting. (Or they could be out at France-Soir )
  4. The AFL "Integrity Unit" should 1/ investigate the MRO/MRP 2/ investigate the state of umpiring 3/ investigate the Integrity Unit 4/ disband Absolutely a misnomer - very very selectively investigates who it like and ignores what it doesn't want to know - like the FBI snd the Hunter Biden laptop.
  5. Did you miss my attempt at the irony emoji?
  6. Maybe May will have to come back via Casey if Disco turns it on? ๐Ÿค”
  7. I thought that Rosman has been out injured. But from whatI hear he is getting close, though not as was originally intended as a wingman, but as a defender. Well I am certain Ginivan will get a whole lot of frees in front of goal - AFL has decreed.
  8. As mentioned earlier, the restaurant may wish to let this die down quickly. Without even in the slightest excusing the behaviour of our players, the restaurant's licence does include fairly strict guidelines and rules about the responsible serving of alcohol, including requirements NOT to serve to intoxicated persons. They may not want to rock the boat.
  9. I was very close to moving seats - in the MCC a couple of old codgers were just denigrating our players at every opportunity - "no skills", "not trying", "never play him again" referring to maybe 8 or 10 players. I presume that he would want us playing with about 10 or 12 on the field. I do get a bit agitated / animated at times but this was bloody awful.
  10. Politically, maybe, but if the AFL are concerned regarding falling attendances, then have they considered just how many fans they may lose if their clubs has to stand aside for an unnecessary bye. Some teams will need to have a bye in rounds 1, or 2 or 3: others will get them in the last few weeks of a season. Will they also continue with the mid season bye, and the pre-finals bye? That will be just about enough for many wavering followers.
  11. I was wondering if Entrecรดte have been a little constrained as it does seem that a contributing factor may involve their breaching responsible serving of alcohol regulations. ๐Ÿง
  12. Which actually means absolutely nothing. He has to debut sometime and he ainโ€™t JW.
  13. What about if Melbourne can either beat Brisbane in a GF at the MCG, or knock them out of the race before that?
  14. Cannot compare. JW was #1 draft, and had had only a handful of VFL games. Turner is in his ?third year.
  15. IF Melksham ever plays again any "tough guy" opponents will call him on missing the GF and how it has effected him. Clearly has serious anger management issues and a tendency to violence. Maybe I am a wowser, but every time there is a big fight on violence seems to surge.
  16. "Another consequence of Steven Mayโ€™s Melksham's actions " - so did May bite his hand? Surely if one choses to punch and injures your hand it is not the fault of the guy who is hit.
  17. Yes I said the midfield as a whole contributed, as did the defensive unit, but I didnโ€™t pick out individuals as the ones who cost us the game. The team (or lack of) cost us the game.
  18. Defeatism never wins anything. And the lack of midfield pressure didnโ€™t contribute?? That is an awful comment about OUR players
  19. Yep. Ginivan to get three frees in front of goal before the first bounce.
  20. He doesnโ€™t need it after recent โ€œperformancesโ€ And another 4 letter word, also containing f Seruoudly, this is a pivotal moment in OUR clubโ€™s season. May is our most important player in the backline, and we have lost two perhaps largely due to his absence for 7 quarters - now, looking for him to return and add stability and leadership, and ๐Ÿ’ฅ Win (if this fires up the remaining players a hell of a lot we may yet do it) or lose, he owes his teammates and us supporters big time for the rest of the year.
  21. Nobody was particularly good in 2019 - so hard to judge him on that.
  22. Please elaborate on your last point. Both Browns out for whom? Sydney did a brilliant job of isolating him and other defenders so they couldn't help each other. And why canโ€™t we try the same tactic instead of all our forwards going for the same ball? Lack of discipline? Forgetting the successful self sacrifice tactic of 2021?
  23. โ€ฆ. and last week v Freo too. We need a strongly built, skilled deep KPP forward, with a touch of mongrel. Neita would have been a perfect fit into this team.
  24. Pickett through individual solo efforts set up at least three of our goals. Yes, crude stats underwhelming but did you see the game ?
