  1. Dogs in very unfamiliar,iliar territory 13 / 5 frees against them
  2. A big "8 point game" at Cat Park next week. In our hands. Believe.
  3. Like the Dogs after the GF, we have mentally shattered them πŸ€—πŸ™„
  4. πŸ’° πŸ’°πŸ’° Which hole, which course πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈβ›³οΈ
  5. So he is a vegetarian because he can’t afford steak? I know cost of living is soaring but … ???
  6. Isn’t his (Gunston) body well and truly stuffed?
  7. ..or, perhaps, is playing in a crap team without culture or guidance????>
  8. Yes, hoping, but more realistically wishful thinking. Definitely must formulate a game plan without him.
  9. I am glad someone else has also considered this. I am not complaining at all but I am not so sure we have (for very good reasons) not been told everything about who had covid and how badly.
  10. Even if Jacko stays and stars, we still need a significant extra ruck. In other words he covers Max but who covers him? Agree re desperate need for a strong marking forward KPP.
  11. Seems to be a requirement for Magpie Presidency
  12. Lovely to hear Jack Bell acknowledging Majak’s input. On the subject - as a Casey listed player does Bell gat any chance to be exposed to Max at training?
  13. β€œβ€¦ JVR's development over the course of the season is one to keep track of. With our backline depth pretty well covered his best chance atm is developing as a forward. At 193cm if he can put on more size he could really develop to come in as Brown and Tmac start to slow down.” Surely a big bodied marking forward must be our first priority this recruiting season, then a back up ruck.
  14. And Thomas says the Saints should add de Goey to the mix. I suppose he would fit in the club culture. Warning to dwarfs - keep fire extinguisher handy.
  15. …… the UAE, where women know their place.
  16. Good luck Majak - so sorry that injury hit at just the wrong time when a replacement ruck was needed for Max. Still your contribution to the whole team effort in Perth for the 2021 finals campaign was invaluable, providing a valuable foil for Max in trying drills and scratch matches. Thanks for your contribution.
  17. We would need to run both pasta good sports psychologist to see why they have not been up to scratch. Discontent with their current environment vs general indifference or apathy.
  18. What a simplistic "analysis" - Langdon didn't score at all, Oliver scored only 1 behind, so would their absence make no difference. BBB is not in form, but he did a lot of work up the ground throughout the game not all of which appears on standard publicly accessible stat sheets. Yes, his missed shots at goal were incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I just hope he is not rushed back prematurely - even if he does need to miss the Geelong game, which I am sure we all hope he won't, his importance at the business end of the season is immeasurable.
  19. Does having a full genetic match between a coach and a AFL operations manager have any influence? Just asking.
  20. Does anyone here have access to these pressure act and wok rate stats? OMG Uncle Byron was so solid as well as quick and aggressive. Would be intimidating knowing that he was in the area if you had the ball. Nephew has the speed and aggression and still tackles well above his weight and his presence intimidates.
  21. There is still a lot of water to flow under the bridge for 2022 - sure they have him [Rivers] covered, for now. But Hunt, Rivers are there and applying pressure. And even poor Joel Smith, if he ever gets an injury free run, is in the mix.
  22. It was certainly a deliberate decision to bump - which we keep getting told condemns you to whatever the outcome may be. Meanwhile, eye gouging is apparently only worth a $1k fine, both for the perpetrator and the victim.
  23. Toby and Koz though very similar seem to complement each other rather than compete. Having those two and Spargo, who is a slightly different but equally important small forward is a luxury - I hope we can find a way to keep them all involved. Until and unless we can find 2+ genuine tall marking forwards this seems the best option.
  24. Your reference to inferred pressure is very apt - they just don’t know where he is and when or how he will pounce. And I love his second and third and fourth efforts. I well remember at least two goals in 2021 where he ran from half back, gave, received, gave again and received and goaled. One was v North and the other at the G may have been v GW$.
