NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Does having a full genetic match between a coach and a AFL operations manager have any influence? Just asking.

Kozi hurts
Does anyone here have access to these pressure act and wok rate stats? OMG Uncle Byron was so solid as well as quick and aggressive. Would be intimidating knowing that he was in the area if you had the ball. Nephew has the speed and aggression and still tackles well above his weight and his presence intimidates.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
There is still a lot of water to flow under the bridge for 2022 - sure they have him [Rivers] covered, for now. But Hunt, Rivers are there and applying pressure. And even poor Joel Smith, if he ever gets an injury free run, is in the mix.

It was certainly a deliberate decision to bump - which we keep getting told condemns you to whatever the outcome may be. Meanwhile, eye gouging is apparently only worth a $1k fine, both for the perpetrator and the victim.

Kozi hurts
Toby and Koz though very similar seem to complement each other rather than compete. Having those two and Spargo, who is a slightly different but equally important small forward is a luxury - I hope we can find a way to keep them all involved. Until and unless we can find 2+ genuine tall marking forwards this seems the best option.

Your reference to inferred pressure is very apt - they just donât know where he is and when or how he will pounce. And I love his second and third and fourth efforts. I well remember at least two goals in 2021 where he ran from half back, gave, received, gave again and received and goaled. One was v North and the other at the G may have been v GW$.

Maybe saints could relocate to Tasmania. (And North way up north to NT)

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
I would be interested in the opinions of those who know a lot more then me if either (or both) Bell and Valentine are in the age mix / physicality / skill set to make it at AFL. Thanks in anticipation.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
OMG the Saints look really really poor - how did they get so high up the ladder earlier one the season?

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Blind Freddie could see that he was concussed ... as you say, where is he duty of care? Conversely, on Thursday night they held up play when the Brisbane guy who took on Frittata front on and injured his chest (Lyon?) walked from the field. Why the difference? AFL please explain.

You mean OUR ACADEMY Mac Andrew!

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Sure. TV seems to love focusing in on the guy with the ball and we get absolutely no idea of what his options are, or what is going on ahead of play.

KC - when you get a chance to evaluate him, is Ryan Valentine in any way an AFL prospect as a KPF or ruck backup? We need to look at recruiting one (or two) of these off season.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
IMO it would be crazy to rush Max back before he has fully recovered. Mad Max stuff. I still reckon a versatile tall like Tomlinson would be a safer bet as sub. Or even Weed if and when Max squeezes him out. Small and runners are easier to shuffle around.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
I felt the half time lead this week was far more âconvincingâ than the prior three weeks. It was their GF - paraphrasing Eddie Brilliant. Loved the Frittata section.

I wonder how much the ratings drop when that absurd, cringeworthy roaming bit starts? If I hold on that long, it is definitely time to turn off.

Would really miss the Gus n Gawny podcast. So he had better stay.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Geez the Dogs look bad. Body language from coach awful. Maybe we re ally did destroy their collective minds in September 2021.

Far too young for them.

My 3 word player analysis v Lions
Whilst I think the commentators were over the top, there were missed goal opportunities that could have been costly in a close game. Hope they learn from those âmis takesâ.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Wouldnât see Bowey as struggling. The whole defensive unit was down the previous three weeks, as a unit. And given the competition for small medium defenders positions, âa week off to freshen upâ could mean he would not get back for a long time.
