  1. And Melbourne 2000 😢
  2. .. as May have been our #1 last year, but it wasn’t.
  3. Frankenstein absolutely useless. I guess the new contract will satisfy him?
  4. Come in Swans. Is Heeny’s diving mark goung to inspire and start the fire as Gus’ did last year?
  5. Front in high tackle - no free. But one to Hawkins now.
  6. Sadly reminiscent of 1988 or 2000
  7. 17-8 inside 50. MFC would be 1 goal 7 behinds.
  8. …Hawkins shoulders???
  9. Geez their arrogance will be going to astronomical levels if this goes on much longer.
  10. WTF - if you are tackled and get a kick away it used to be play on.
  11. Cats on a roll, for now.
  12. The only positive, so far, today is that we are reigning premiers for the next 6 hours
  13. 3 years - 3 more flags. 3 Colemans. Why would he want to leave?
  14. What surgery? Nobody is suggesting that all 11 injured players be dropped together - but perhaps resting some as their inability to perform at 100% became apparent would have allowed a more even balance over the whole year eg Salem wasn't right from round 1 : had he been 'rested' for a few weeks then maybe he would have been as dominant and reliable as he had been the previous year. Who knows? Still, we won the big one in 2021 and never forget that. (Not being complacent or self-satisfied: just emphasising that almost everything needs to go right to go back to back and that AFL footy is a brutal business).
  15. Well at least it isn’t the umpires - “can’t find the possession numbers - what do we do now”?
  16. Who knows? Unless “the reinjury” bent the plate or screws I would doubt it would be removed at this stage had it actually been “reinjured” in the sense that the same place had fractured again. Webber?
  17. But were they injuries or were they injuries? I imaging nearly every player on every list is carrying “an injury” - I must say I was surprised that it suggeats that 11 others had no injury.
  18. As we are delving into ancient history, I seem to recall Tassie Johnson - probably the best full back of the golden era af the 50-60s) - played CHF (as well as ruck-rover) a bit late in his career.
  19. 👍 Calm down all. My whispers are that the plate is about to be / has been removed, as planned. So, he may be seen in a moon boot - be warned.
  20. You say Macca is a further 6 months away? On what basis? No confirmation of a repeat Lisfranc, and due to get metal removed very soon. Unless you know otherwise. As was Neita. Pushed forward in desperation when Ox went down and won a bloody Coleman. Surely it will sink in sometime that BBB is not a pack marking forward. FCS the pivotal moment in our first premiership in 57 years was when Harmes took the initiative and did not bomb it to the left pocket, but rather to a leading BBB in the right pocket. All flowed from that moment.
  21. As mentioned before / elsewhere we need a goal kicking big forward. Grundy is not that. 60 goals in 10 years isn’t going to save us. Same with Max for that matter - 88 goals in 12 years. Thinking that parking either in the left forward pocket and bombing it long and high will save our scoring woes is delusional.
  22. Sportsbet and their fellow parasites would love it- so Gill will almost certainly push hard for it.
  23. These are, at this stage, allegations, yes extremely serious allegations, but I believe we still have in Australia a presumption of innocence. That is not in any way meant to downplay the seriousness of the allegations, which, if proven, are far worse than the despicable Essendon drug experiment. Will await events.
  24. Now that gambling companies have such a huge influence on the entire AFL budget, and thinking, these sort of things always leave questions, and a sour taste.
  25. Maybe Brisbane in the QF, and Footscray in the GF were also unwell, and of course Geelong themselves in the last half of R 23 2021
