  1. Frittata is a bit of a hybrid trek though - doesn't get the luxury feeds as the likes of Lloyd used to, and even Hawkins in the contemporary context. IF our mids / half forwards were to lower their eyes and hit targets on the lead the sky is the limit.
  2. Maybe after their lack of street sense after initially announcing the women's competition as Australian Women's Football League, AWFL, only to turn it around as AFLW, they have spent countless hours dreaming up this and just couldn't think of anything better. Abut all there is to say
  3. What a surprise. ๐Ÿ™„ And I wonder how long it will take for Dees v Dogs to become โ€œa traditional round 1 gameโ€. It took about 2 or 3 years for ANZAC Day to become traditional Col v EssUndone and similar time for opening game to be Car v Toiges.
  4. Should at least be fitter after a preseason.
  5. I certainly hope and expect that you are right, but I am sure Luke Dunstan came across with the same thoughts.
  6. Hopefully our two ex Bulldogs will relish being away from weirdo Bevo.
  7. Now that would really be the coup of the millennium!
  8. The sort of finer points that JT is so good at discerning.
  9. We all know that not all โ€œhe will be a gunโ€ players succeed - Kye may offer yet another option, or as mentioned above, a surplus who we may offer for trade. Just wondering though, just because he is training with us at this stage, does it in any way tie him to us or us to him?
  10. No pressure on the lad - maybe "could well be a gun player" would be a better way of putting it, if all falls into place physically and mentally. Over the years I have heard so many time "..x.. will be a gun". Rarely can one tell so soon - Petracca and Oliver being very obvious exceptions from day 1.
  11. 201 next week and 210 by the start of the season ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  12. If this turns out well it would bring new meaning to a Taylor hidden gem. Low risk, high reward.
  13. Come on Webber - you are seriously underrating him. KFW will surely squeeze out Max or Brodie by mid season ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™„
  14. Only if it was โ€œfake newsโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  15. Maybe Frittata will pinch a few from him if he looks like passing 6 ๐Ÿ™„
  16. Jefferson is probably at least one full year behind JVR, who I hope will play more games at MFC than Casey 2023. By 2024 hopefully he will be ready to start to slot in to BBBโ€™s slot, who will surely be ready for pasture by then.
  17. So some poor bugger like Bedford 2022 will sit on the bench for most of a game without getting a chance perhaps until the dying minutes, but will also miss out on his VFL opportunity to improve/ impress (unless of course Casey has yet another bye).
  18. Is number #40 available? Would be a bit of a aide de memoir until we learn to recognize him.
  19. Perhaps he could help in the rewriting of our constitution?
  20. And I am rapt for him and the club. A choice between two PREMIERSHIP big forwards. ๐Ÿค—
  21. Not Sir Humphrey Applebee
  22. Well if there are 4 the AFL will have an even greater argument that they cannot afford to have them as full time professionals - unless they sacrifice some of their bonuses of course, so it will never happen. On the other hand one could make a case for reducing it to two full time professionals, but this will never ape either.
  23. Surely if the three maggots canโ€™t get it right, and occasionally contradict one another, enlarging the cesspit wonโ€™t produce better maggots, only more of lower quality. Rather like endlessly expanding the number of teams, can only dilute the quality, the same applies for umpires. Eventually everyone can play and get a participation award for trying.
  24. The tiny population is just one negative to a NT based team. Every team that plays in Darwin historically is stuffed the following week - imagine having one with a home base there (even if shared 50/50 with the far more friendly Alice Springs climate). Just not viable. (Same would apply to Cairns).
