2020 AFL Fixture
Same here. I live there and refuse to attend kardinia park. Its a deadset elitist club where you need a bank loan to reserve a decent seat. Vast majority of townsfolk can't afford to attend and the grounds development has sucked much needed grant capital funds from more important building upgrades. Its got me stuffed why the locals follow. Having daid that there's been huge influx of new residents. And most are bemused by the parochialism of older locals. They say its a community facilitu also but try booking the facilities.

2020 AFL Fixture
That's not as stupid as it sounds. The new grandstands could be on that secret govt. Cladding list. Can Demonland please commence preparing an FOI submission along these lines.?

2020 AFL Fixture
I'm very happy with this draw in regards to opponents. Only play 1 top 8 team twice. The pies Play 3 bottom teams twice . Suns saints dockers. The champion data view of 3rd easiest draw is a reasonable call. Basic view i know and many unknowns but face value could be good of team performs that is.

2020 AFL Fixture
Weĺ put.. Accepted opinion now commonly noted is cats are a great home and away side. But draw favours then get them found out in finals.

2020 AFL Fixture
Well summed up but I would add it can be seen as an 8 point game for MFC if they win, given most teams will lose over there. If its a loss just the usual 4 points effect.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Good point but i don't think they are in the frame. Geelong swans or us possibly.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
he said last night on the 7 news interview that he couldn't think of anything better than playing on "... the G..." Its us I reckon.

I like your approach. BUT 3.20 in Perth in late March.

2020 AFL Fixture
Confirmation from whom? Based on article in Age 30 minutes ago (or in fact a strategic leak from AFL to keep horse racing off the back page), by my reading there is still one game needed forr the G. Being either bombers or MFC. Otherwise, its west Coast at Perth, GC away or Port Adelaaide away.

Dees poach Port data analyst
They don't. But good analysts will underpin and assist with strategy and opposition analysis greatly. Another good move and will aid the improvement of the list and individual performance if taken heed of by Goody.. The day the analyst pulls on the tracksuit and takes goal kicking practice is the day Brian Taylor has lost his mind and done a career change. As an Ex-plumber would be great at maths after working out all those sewer line gradients to make [censored] flow correct direction.

2019 Player Reviews: #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
We must have been at different games.

2019 Player Reviews: #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
He deserves a spot on the list but if he's best 22 we're in real trouble. 2 way running is impressive only if the kick execution is, say, sublime, like tom scully when fit. He could hit a target at 50m. Otherwise ANB is just another great athlete in footy boots.

Dees Plan to Turbocharge the Midfield
The Scully comment was interesting, in that I understood Tomlinson bettered him in time trials whilst at GWS and was generally coming in first in those consistently. The TOG confirm this important ability for sure.

Groundballs Inside 50
Sensible post. I can't think of a recent player that has had so many of his characteristics /skills/abilities scrutinised and/or opinionated. Darren Burgess may just be the final making of Christian in 2020.

Darwin game dumped
Sky News - sheesh! All their 5000 viewers will now be misinformed - as usual.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Correct. Smart move by the club.

Josh Bruce
I'm not convinced TMac is a natural forward. Bruce is.

Jon Ralph says Demons are effectively a basket-case team
We won that game ( round 1 next season ) by 7 goals. Sorry to spoil the well researched narrative.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Tomlinson has identical dimensions as G. Lyon. You might be on the money hete

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
And don't forget apparently Tomlinson was the gws time trial star also. Great work Mahoney

Farewell Sam Frost
A big dash out of defence to usually a long kick to noone in particular resulting in a turnover. Looks terrific at first but ineffective. Correct decision by list management if we are to improve.

Hammer Comes Down at the Crows After External Review
Nice to read a sensible post on this thread. My thoughts also.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Agree on this WD. Tomlinson was in the last 11 kept of the first draft by GWS. They let plenty go over the first 8 years and he wasn't one of them. Thus they rated him highly in their future. That,s good enough for me as an indicator Think, Tyson, Frost etct, etc,.....

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Some sense for a change on this. Time trial winner consistently at GWS and probably can kick. He will be hard to stay with for opposition teams. 194 cm at 96kg with a tank - Tomlinson The others are 180 and 87kg(jones) and 186 and 86kgs. No comparison. Garry Lyon was 193 and 96KG - Interesting to give a true comparison.- No pressure though

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Gee fancy a top side like GWS letting Tomlinson 'struggle' through 144 games and 4 final series for them?
