  1. Considering he had a couple of games at Casey and the first couple of games he was played up the ground I would think 30 min. would be the 2011 objective!
  2. There are only 2 more Casey games before the finals so if he does not play this week it only leaves 22/8 for a game before returning at AFL level. IMO I think it is doubtful we will see him again in 2010. And why rush him we are not in any danger of playing in this years GF.
  3. Interested in what the list looks like this week! Last week a few blew out, it will tell us if we will see Grimes again this year. Only 2 more Casey games left so if he is not back to play with Casey on 22/8 we will not see him again this year which will be disappointing!
  4. I agree with you I have been a big promoter over the years and I like the guy! While he has never quite made it I have never seen him give less than 100%. He has tried his guts out over the last couple of years when he had very little Back up in our forward line. He is plainly very good at VFL level but just not good enough at AFL level. I get sick of all the "Haters" the guy gives his best get off his back. Carn the Dees!
  5. Have I missed something? What happened to Morton? Was he injured? Did not play for Casey or Melbourne yesterday. What is the situation with him? As long as there are no injuries I doubt there will be a change for next week. Moloney if back will be via Casey after three weeks off. We all know Millar is too good at AFL level but are you going to take out Watts, Green, LJ or Dunn from yesterdays team! I doubt it. PJ played better than Jamar yesterday and I think he is necessary, we need a real ruckman as back up for Jamar. Imagine yesterday without him. For mine Bennel is the weak link but Bailey and company love him so doubt there will be a change there. Looks "Unchanged" to me
  6. Yes it is, they always named all of the MFC interchange bench from memory. All the bull that clubs still go through with this foxing about who is in and who is not annoys me. Has it ever given one team an advantage that won the game! Tonight they have to nominate the starting 24. Will the tigers be so caught out not knowing last night the final 24? I can only imagine how worried thay are right now about wether Millar is in or out!
  7. We eat Tigers for breakfast. Lets get them early on Sunday!
  8. The last three years are truly amazing! And I think the Emblem and the presentation on the Web is the best effort I have seen in my 55 years of being a supporter and Member of the MFC. I am not the youngest member by a long shot and my financial contribution to the “debt reduction” has been modest however I contribute where possible to a lifelong love affair. Three years ago I thought we were headed to Sydney to become the “West Sydney Demons” However they have turned the club around from $5 million in debt to no debt and what looks like a healthy profit this year. The side has gone from Hopeless to being able to compete with any side in the competition. Who knows were from here but I have the feeling it is up not down. Congratulations to everyone at the MFC for their hard work over the last three years. Would this have happened without one J Stynes? I seriously doubt it. The saying goes ”The Good Die Young” well I have a feeling you are about to prove that saying wrong Jim. More power to you and most of all good health. Carn the DEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  9. That really is a blow. I feel so sorry for him and Hawthorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Well Ravi I am not going to let the truth / facts get in the way of a good story. Guess you have me there! However simply because a player may not be in our best 22 does not mean you give them the flick, There is rarely a time when you can put your best 22 on the park. Your theory also assumes ever young guy on the list will be in the "best 22". Doubt it! Some will prosper others won't. It will be interesting to see the list come Jan 2011.
  11. Ravi I cannot believe you would trade Warnock! one injury in the backline and then who do you go to? He is cast in concrete for me Before you jetison Bate and Warnock have you thought of delisting Mcnamara, Martin, Cheney, Jetta or Maric. none of the above can hold a candle to Warnock and Bate.
  12. I went up for the game. Only thing I saw from Garland was a great game again however I was too busy celebrating to notice him after the game finished. Yes Local demons supporters were great, spoke to a few locals ( including my brother ) who want Fev out. They say it is more than supporter talk.
  13. TALK IS CHEAP! My Brother lives in Brisbane and follows the Lions, he says the talk is that a large part of the club ( Not just supporters ) want him out. Their big problem is he has almost no currency. Is there a club that would take him for nothing let alone give the lions anything? My view last night was "as soon as he was gone the Lions Forwards fired up." It was like they said thank god he is out of the road!
  14. I agree with the FD, I thought Rivers was fantasic in the last quarter, I think the last couple of weeks he has played his best football this year.
  15. OUT Bennel, Jurrah IN Trengove, Moloney ( If Fit ) or Maric Not sure how Bate played today, probably need to replace Jurrah with a tall forward so maybe In's are Trengove and Bate
  16. Want to make a bet on who wins? I will give you 10 to 1 on a jumper other than white! What is it you do not understand? the AFL has all the power and the MFC none on this issue. Why are we still arguing about this? It is a done deal the AFL won some time ago.
  17. I was up in Brisbane last night, I Agree with you on LJ and Aussie, I think that should be at Casey next week we have three guys who should in next week i.e. Trengove, Maric and Moloney ( if fit ). However I think you are being very tough on Mcdonald, - He was far from the worst last night and he has been out for a few weeks - He is our Captain - The MFC owes him every game till the end of 2010, he has given every ounce of his being to us over the last few years and played well. Cut him at least 4 weeks slack
  18. We have I think a great back line if only the forwards were as good
  19. At half time Brisbane took FEV off and it was like the lions said thank god he is out of the way. All of a sudden the forward line came to life and it was a battle of the back lines. Who would crack first? The dees held them out, if only our forwards were as good. LJ has to go back to Casey did not earn his spot tonight. IMO so should Bennell. there are the spots for Maric and Trengove and I thought Aussie was at best average so he is out for moloney.
  20. "Heartsbeattrue" I went to the game tonight with my brother ( supports the Lions ) and said to him when they pushed Dunn in the back " you just lost the game he is probably the Dees best kick from 50" and guess what! Go Dees!
  21. I am in Brisbane went to the game and I think ABC is very close that three is how I saw it
  22. Oh Guys I could not agree more the AFL demands basically white away strips, I was at brisbane tonight it looked ok. I am over it, we won, nowadays as long as we win white is fine with me
  23. I agree E25 we have to wear a mainly white jumper like the majority of clubs. Like or lump it that is the position. I would prefer our normal jumper however I have got used to the white one. As long as we win who cares.
  24. I think Maric is stiff, How many emergencies go to Brisbane? If he does not get a game up there he has to come back Sunday am to play with Casey in the afternoon. Same goes for Trengove. A lot of travel!!
