  1. Its a strange hold he has over the club. Talisman for some and becoming a curse for others. It’s starting to feel like he’s a 103 year old demented uncle in a nursing home who has been burning up the inheritance.
  2. If we are doing not so good by round six and his form is not so hot it would be an interesting “what next?” moment for Jones and the coaches.
  3. We are the only amateur club in a league of professionals.
  4. We have too many players that take it like a wet sponge already.
  5. We did our best to claim the soulless rabble title but the Suns thwarted us at every turn.
  6. Jones also missed the tackle on Higgins when he kicked the winner with a limp one arm effort.
  7. Was also in Jurien for a few days this week to see the wildflowers. Perhaps a week or two early to see them at their best. Managed to get a tick though when hiking through the bush. Glad to see the eagles lose. I got taunted mercilessly by the in-laws after the prelim.
  8. I now believe Gawn is the ideal candidate but conditional we play two ruckman. Today he was far more effective with Preuss to share the ruck burden with him WC and Brisbane have shown that the modern game can have two big fellas every game.
  9. Please walk Jones. Take the money and sunshine.
  10. The elephant in the room looms in the last minute.
  11. Good development coach and failed senior coach. Have we been there before? Good luck to him and us.
  12. It a scary thought that we might improve to 13th in 2022.
  13. Might be a refreshing change having a captain with some rascal in him. The saintly clean skins on the job for the past decade have all been useless and the culture they helped nurture has been crap. We can’t do any worse.
  14. Kind of adds confirmation that the players have playing with blinkers on. Like how many times have we seen a player take a set or running opportunity for goal from long distance or take a measured chance from an angle this season? Natural instincts have been snuffed out and players are crapping themselves when taking a set shot at middling distances. Seems to be a team rule that shots on goal should only be taken from 30 metres out or from over the top moves. Perhaps rigid team rules have snuffed out instincts, creativity and by extension confidence.
  15. If MFC membership were a long term investment it would be like putting money in a new apartment with combustible cladding and budding concrete cancer, a house in coal mining town or a timeshare resort after knowing all the faults and facts.
  16. Well on Demonland we have mostly die hard, rusted on, desensitised and completely deluded supporters here. So it is to be expected that most Demondlanders who are members will go around for another round of flagellation. It is the 20-30 odd thousand ones who are not on Demonland who will be more likely to bail out.
  17. That’s the wall paper excuse we have had to put with for a decade now. When things started getting really bad mid season the usual apologists revived it.
  18. Brown and Larkey 15 goals between them. I hope the airports are fogbound for the entire next week and we forfeit or our flight gets highjacked to North Korea.
  19. I am on automatic renew. I will continue as a member because I am currently plagued by the current inertia affecting the team and too listless to make the effort to resign.
  20. Posters should watch the last two minute of the Brisbane Geelong game. Lincoln McCarthy takes a screamer 20 metres out, Captain Zorko walks with back with him to take his shot and gives him calming advice to settle him for the pressure kick. Of course he kicks the match winning goal. Don’t see Viney or Jones do that often.
  21. In his last couple of seasons with us he played like he didn’t give a Faarque anyway. Would have fitted in nicely in our yesterday’s side. He was a lost cause.
  22. I am more disgusted with their desire to win unlike us.
  23. Great to see Stefan Martin give a great performance in the ruck. Though he had less than average opposition as Geelong rely on Dangerfield and Co to win the clearances the hard way he changed his game up in the last 15 minutes in the stop start finale. He mixed it up beautifully with great tap work, out muscling his opponents and powerful knock ons to give his players the advantage to charge back from 18 points down. GAWN TAKE NOTE! Also where once he was labeled as being a bit soft, he is now a tackling machine and 15 of his 16 possessions were contested. Fagan has turned him into an awesome weapon.
  24. Looking forward to watching a real game of football today. Brisbane and Geelong. Glad I eschewed last night joke fest.
  25. We need a Chris Fagan or Brett Rattan type. No brand name egotistical types.
