  1. I was permanently banned from there, thats why I'm back. PS. They are looking for good moderators if you are interested.
  2. Plays like he has a hormonal problem which affects his focus. Seems to depend on how the juices are flowing on the day. I would play him down back for a while where the excitement levels are less distracting. Didn't he start his career there for us?
  3. Interesting to watch the body language during their Freo game. Although being pummelled there was a lot of fight and spirit as a team by GWS. But starkly contrasted by Tom who appeared no different from his disinterested softish efforts in his final few games for us season. Something is already simmering there I believe.
  4. If he was an average 3rd year player on an average salary then a 3/10 performance rating this season seems appropriate. For a No 1draft pick and arguably highest payed AFL player in the comp he should rate 0/10 on a performance scale expected for that calibre of player. I agree she has been very generous.
  5. You would be first to wallop him if he was still magpie with a verbal nulla nulla but that's just BOP.
  6. I would be worried if we made a serious play for Cloke. Reminds me of bad times past. In the Barassi days we got Peter Moore and Kelvin Templeton to bolster our mediocre team. We ended up with two megalithic Easter Island Statues in a field of cattle with the exception of a pretty flower on the wing. It was a disaster until Northey took over and then we played our best football for decades prior and since with only cattle.
  7. Civil cases weight in favor of balance of probability rather than undeniable proof which is required in criminal trials to obtain a conviction. Hope that clears your confusion. Liam is lucky that he does not have to be judged on balance of probability for this matter. PS. I am sure you would have a different opinion of him if he still played for the filth.
  8. So are you claiming OJ was guilty? He was found to be NOT GUILTY at his trial.
  9. No agenda here. The case is based on a person called Basil who sustained a gaping hole in his head and several deep slices to his face claiming dear cousin Liam and his mates did it. A very serious allegation. More than enough base evidence to go to trial when the victim of the assault identifies his assailants. Trial is a very different matter and there has been enough confusion, contradiction, boozy recollections and legal gobbledygook thrown in that it may well be impossible to prove without doubt cousin Liam actually did it. The law seeks proof without doubt and nothing less especially in such a high profile case with nationwide scrutiny. I think Liam may end up being our very own OJ Simpson.
  10. Tom gets all the gravy and his father gets the felafel.
  11. I watched some of the finals games live in Wuhan and Tianjin in China in September.
  12. I'll be happy to see him around for another season. But I want to see him in tip top condition come NAB Cup time assuming no injuries. Has to show something now if he wants to be an elite footballer. If he's still sluggish and unfit then he's a lost cause.
  13. Tries very hard but I think he lacks a lot of confidence. Not surprising with directionless and uninspiring recent coaching. Quite a few players in a similar situation.
  14. The good news is that it appears he may have been wearing his seat belt and not injured. Shame though, a bump on the head may have knocked some sense into him.
  15. None of the "brothers" had a great season. I hope Aaron is not leading them by example.
  16. He's going to have to move mountains to get back my respect. I used to admire him and was even entertaining the thought he might be captain material back in 2010. What he did in the St Kilda game was inexcusable. This was a watershed game for us. Hard fought and only trailing by 11 points at 3/4 time. Our chance for our first victory on the road for many years in Vic and to give us a solid platform for the run home in the second half of the season. He goes out and gives a 50 metre penalty and a gimme goal to ruin us at the start of the last quarter. I've looked at the replay many times. And it sure looks like he knew what he was doing when he threw the ball back to MacDonald. This is after he develops scullyitis of the knee in the third quarter. His body language said something else. That weak effort in pulling out of a contest which everyone talks about was the lesser of his sins that day. When he comes off a long lay off he does stuff all and gets suspended in the most obvious way. We are never going to get anywhere with the likes of him for as long as he remains at the top of the pecking order. He needs to have to earn his spot back starting from the very bottom at Casey seconds for a few games to clean up his attitude before the other deficiencies in his game are addressed.
  17. We just have to deal with it. It's part of the dirty hard work that needs to be done until we can become strong and respected again. Just like Hercules cleaning out the Augean Stables. Surely we don't need an easy ride do we? Too many posters complain when we have to do it tough.
  18. Let's recruit Fevola just for that game.
  19. I wonder how his knee is coming along?
  20. I salivate at thinking of what he might become. One of the very few positives from last season. Has to polish up on doing the unglamorous chores and not try to be the big game hunter all the time.
  21. I would be happy if he never plays another game with us for the rest of his career. Just pay him out and get rid of him. The biggest letdown of the season. If I spoke my mind I will surely be suspended again.
  22. I don't blame him for not being impressed. The players deserve to be chained in the bowels of a slave galley and row all the way to China for an end of season trip.
  23. 1964 was the year of the century. We lived two blocks from the MCG on Powlett St and the weather girl from Channel 9 boarded upstairs. Graham Kennedy was an occasional visitor to the house. And the other Chinese student boarder used to keep live lobsters in the bathtub. Plus we had fire crackers to play with and a premiership. Life was never the same after 64.
  24. Was not a fan of his for the past four or five seasons. But now I wish him well.
