  1. This is now 9 pages long, there is nothing any of the posters on here can do to affect the outcome. All we have is rumour, innuendo, falsehood, media tittle tattle, and we are perpetuating it If Scully goes I will be disappointed, if he stays I will be pleased. He strikes me as a very straight person, so if he says there has been no talk, I believe him. If he goes we will be compensated, I was disappointed when Brock McLean left, but we got Jordan Gysberts in return, so it did not turn out apocalyptic One man does not make a team, but can contribute, even Judd needs the other 21 playing well for the team to win, Scully was member of the team who contributed last Friday and no doubt he will be good again on Monday, but hopefully so will Trengove, Gysberts, McKenzie, Watts etc etc
  2. A heads of agreement is a non-binding document outlining the main issues relevant to a tentative (partnership or other) agreement.[1] A heads of agreement document will only be enforceable when it is adopted into a parent contract and subsequently agreed upon. Until that point, a heads of agreement will not be legally binding
  3. Personally I think enthusiasm will beat experience, I would be surprised if Bailey makes any changes for the sake of it, if Sylvia comes up we should be unchanged, you have 22 blokes who gave their all on Frdiay night, what do you do to reward them by dropping them....I don't think so, momentum and confidence is a wonderful thing....by the way I have spoken to Lynette (Nev's Mum) and I am pleased and honoured to be associated with her, although she might not feel the same........she really knows her footy
  4. Neville's mum here, the big stage was last Friday night, I thought Nev went all right, as another poster said the longer this thread goes the more ludicrous the suggestions get. Without naming names and yours not included in this observation, I think either some people don't watch the game or they need to drink slightly less when they do
  5. I think you will find the calls of "Tommy" were for Tommy McNamara, Tommy McDonald and just to confuse Tommy Walsh for Sandy....I was also there and my two bobs worth Warnock....the usual mix of outstanding and horrendous Bate...too good at this level Blease...each week getting better and better McDonald....going to be a player, Barry Prendergast can certainly pick them Cook....same, has great vision Davis...same, getting up to be speed, is going to be a monster, has a build on him like Tappy Petterd.....a Ricky Bobby game, sometimes went missing Maric....In and Out of the game but some really nice touches Campbell.....if we need him, he is going to be ready Johnston.....Ranga Rookie.....recruited as a midfielder/forward, so in second half we played him at the back, learning McNamara...spent most of the game knocking opponents down, did some bullocking work, had a nice one on one boxing match And I forgot him Dunn....terrible game, watched him do a wafting arm tackle, know it was his first game back, but will spend a few weeks at Casey with a display like that Think that is about it
  6. I was once called Neville Jetta's mum on this board because of the support I tried to drum up for him in the face of the constant criticosm he was receiving. I actually have Nr 39 on my jumper I wear to the games. I spoke to Matty Whelan a couple of years ago and he said he was really enjoying working with Nev and I asked him if he was teaching him to be like him and he just smiled Now in the 3 word analysis we have Nev likened to Wheels, which I am sure Nev would not accept...YET Posters on the board need to realise that when a player initially arrives, unless your name happens to be Tom Scully, you are at least two years away from being anywhere near an AFL player, Neville is improving all the time, but the one thing he has always had is heart.....and will give 100% each time he is out on the field, but Friday night we got a glimpse again of what he will become... I personally can see a place for him in the team, it may not be regular, but he will be there
  7. I don't, to use my English vernacular "this is untter tosh", we had a great win and both these players contributed, end of story. As per usual some posters on here can't just be happy with the win.
  8. To the posters who can't get their point across without resorting to personal insults, if you actually bothered to read or listen to the reasoning behind that move, it made sense, unfortunately the forwards let everybody down by not staying with the structures.......if it had worked everybody would be jumping up and down saying what a brilliant coach.....if any of the posters on here hiding behind a nickname are a premiership coach in any form of the game, can you please let us know.......Supercoach excepted of course.....ah so there's the problem...
  9. Dean Bailey has consistently stated he wants players to be versatile Tommy Mac has had a couple of years wrecked with injury, he is/was a tall back, but he also has good hands and a good footy brain, trying him in the midfield, he isn't doing too bad for three games in there.... ...if it works we end up with a large midfielder who is good in the stoppages a la Jobe Watson who for a couple of years as he learned the craft wasn't much chop.......but look at him now..... at least we are trying things, follow Casey quite closely, so we have had Blease at the back learning how to defend now he is in the middle, and we are moving Tom McDonald, Troy Davis and Lucas Cook around, if they get towelled up occasionally I can live with that.....
  10. I will tell you what you need to do, if you can beg, borrow or steal a change room pass after the game, wait around quite a while, then you will see the players start to ice up parts that are sore, coz they have to, they have been told by the medical staff.....I went once and Col Sylvia ended up looking like he belonged in the frozen food section.....Bennell is getting there, they used to say the same thing about Varcoe, I take it you always crash into packs when you play do you?
  11. I was actually waiting for this post to reappear.... .footballers bodies are built to the highest levels, and during a game they are stretched to breaking point, which they do often, we are just having a bad run, the first couple of weeks of the season we were fine, if you have played at any level and you were reasonably fit, you knew that if you went over on an ankle at speed you could do a lot of damage, or crash knees or turn awkwardly or land incorrectly.... Hawthorn have 8 best 22 out at the moment and Freo have been similarly decimated.......move on, nothing to see here We are just bloody unlucky.....saw two young debutants start their careers because of it, and may see another two this week....bring it on.....
  12. From the player review on the MFC website Matthew Bate: Matthew’s work-rate was very good. He presented in all the right areas. He needs to demand the ball more and we need to use him more. So if we don't kick it to him, he can't do much with it can he?
  13. Even though it is considered an honour to be in the leadership group, some players prefer not to be, it still doesn't stop them from being a good example, it's just they probably feel they don't need the extra responsibility...Jsmar has always struck me as someone who gives 100% to the footy but it is not the be all and end all of his life..perhaps he let his feelings be known that he wasn't interested
  14. This is all quite easy, be drafted, spend first year still tryihg to study and do well at school, second year get bits and pieces try to put on a bit of bulk, third year, you are still only twenty amd growing fast, you need to bulk up but not lose your agility, leap or speed......play a variety of roles to learn and look better and better each week...don't want to be stuck beiing a huge monster who does not leave the 50.....more Goddard or Reinwldt, end of this year beginning of next....start really impacting games....
  15. MFC already use Leading Teams for this sort of thing, so I assume some if not all of the above is in place, so it is not the fact we don't have any, it is we don't adhere to them on a consistent basis. Most organisations have core values, but do all employees adhere to them every single hour. I think not.
  16. Lost confidence?...he was one of the few shining lights last week...he killed Petrie (who the week before looked like he was coming back into form), it was Edwards who got away from a combination of Garland/Dunn and whoever else Warnock is a good full back, playing against gorillas, so he treats them like that, he has taken a couple of games to get back up to speed, hopefully he will stay in, although match ups again this weekend may have him out again
  17. Rajon Rondo you were doing alright till you put this "These 3 need to pull their damn fingers out, get their head over the ball and want to make it at AFL level", You must just read the rest of the posts and be swayted, yes Wonna needs to go back to Casey to get his mojo back, Bennell had a quarter when we were going backwards he is getting there , and Jetta had 12 tackles and 17 pressure acts and throws himself into any constest he can get near...
  18. Hooray, at least on this thread there are at least two or three of us who actually watched the game and understood it, Jetta had 12 tackles and 17 pressure acts, made a couple of mistakes and is pilloried for it.....I have spoken to him a couple of times, he knows what he has to work on,and is trying to improve but at least he gives 100% each game he plays in, which is more than that can be said about some others at the moment.......I think that last bit is in English but you know what I mean
  19. Old Dee, I know it is unfair, illogucal, etc etc to compare players. but in relation to Bennell, two words Travis Varcoe, two years ago and now......be patient
  20. Simple explanation........posters have fierce desire to win, and some have an interesting understanding of footy.....as stated before unless a player has 40 possies, 10 tackles, 15 contested marks and looks good in the post game interview 'they are a spud'.....Bate did his role, assume this week it is matchups, and he may even be back in!!
  21. Try a bit of optimism, the thing I like about our much maligned Footy Dept they are thinking outside of the square, Tom has had am onjury riddled couple of years, coming back again from a fott injury, we have tall defenders let's try something new.....a case in point Rohan Bail....injury riddled first year and a bit...now in Best 22...watch this space
  22. I am all for promoting rookies if they have earnt it, Evans had a couple of years wrecked with injury, that's why he wasn't drafted, question mark......Club probably trying to get his body right and then look....we have enough injury concerns all of a sudden, without rushing into another one
  23. As stated before I live near AAMi, Scully spotted lapping last couple of weeks, looks smooth and unimpeded
  24. The press involves the whole team, and covering everybody for the kickin, it is the way it is structured and whether the players work hard enough to keep the structures, you will notice Liam Jurrah got a bit of a hit in the player review so assume this was one of the reasons why...........we just need to keep keeping on and hopefully we will, Bate, Maric, Petterd are back in and want to stay there
  25. If the only worry you have is the kickins then what is the problem, all teams at the moment are having the problem with the forward pressure.......as long as we continue to score goals and minimize the errors we will be ok
