Maybe, but I get the feeling his was an open and shut statement...he left no opening like Roos did in his OTC responses to Sheehan and Healy.

An easy win last week?? The margin was comfortable, yes...but that was one of the hardest fought wins I can recall seeing in many many years. That was absolutely frenetic attack on player and ball and if I was to think of a comparison, it was like a school of sharks in a feeding frenzy. I want Freo to win, but I get the feeling that last week may have taken more out of them than we think.

Cameron Ling just categorically stated on the AFL GF coverage that he will be sticking to his channel 7 and 3AW commitments and that he will NOT be coaching AT ALL. So that should put an end to all future speculation.

Seriously??? The first link in that google search gave you the number of games he played. You couldn't then search for a fixture to see how many games comprise a season and add two finals?

We offer them pick 2 for Fyfe and they take it in the hope that Boyd is passed up by GWS :-)

I hope you're right, but that was the feeling I got from Roo's comments on the TV (can't recall whether it was OTC or during the televised coverage of a game).

Terlich is a player who was recently roundly criticised by Roos (and a player who Roos is familiar with), but he also has a lot of "perceived" value because of what was generally considered an outstanding season. With Mitch Clisby showing some great potential, I wonder whether Roos might not see Terlich as possible trade bait? I would like to see us keep Terlich, but I get the feeling Roos is not particularly impressed by him.

How many first year players have won this award and more particularly, how many 17 to 18 year old players have won it, and even more particularly, how many 17 to 18 year old key position players have won it? Makes it a pretty big ask to #keepalidonit.

They all show his talents... What's Up Tiger Lilly (his first?) - he acquired the rights to a Japanese gangster flick and dubbed his own dialogue over it. Sleeper is a great film with a screamingly funny Jewish tailor robot. Bananas, Love and Death, Annie Hall, Small Time Crooks, Manhattan etc etc... they are all good and each quite different. One of my favourites though, a black and white mystery with Mia Farrow and John Malkovich, Shadows and Fog... great.

Since you asked (substitute Demons for Grave Diggers):

hardtack, on 24 Sept 2013 - 10:38 PM, said: Yes, but it wasn't made clear whether Roos approached Drew suggesting he apply for the position or whether Drew applied completely unprompted... that was my point as it was being questioned as to who initiated the contact..
-
So that's a "No" then?

Oooh that wascawy woos!

Isn't that what I said?

If ever he needed any incentive to do so, Colless has probably given it to him.

Roos mentioned on OTC that Dew applied for the position, but that the Swans won't allow him to be interviewed. Roos didn't make it clear as to who first approached who, but I got the impression that maybe Dew made the move.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
hardtack replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I heard that they were going to fly off to Wangaratta, but it was raining. -
No, I get the feeling Col may have been waiting to see what Jack would do and will probably stick around as well. He has stated in the very recent past that he loves the club and wants to remain a Demon, so this may be the thing that tips the scales in our favour.

Correction, both prospects are coaching in the GF.

When Swan was closing in on the lead and they had the camera focused on him at his table, did anyone else see the hand come in from the right of screen with the word "setup" written on it in biro? Pretty funny I thought.

Yes, agree that Blackadder is a cut above Mr Bean. American comedies can be very good, but lack the British eccentricities that you find in shows like Fawlty Towers, Not Only But Also, Monty Python, Blackadder etc. Having said that, I was a real sucker for Seinfeld and before that, a long time before that, The Bob Newhart Show (both the one where we was a psychiatrist and the one where he was a hotel owner, that owed a lot to Fawlty Towers).

I think we should be freeing up a place for them on their current list by removing the obstacle from their path.
