I think he has played good football, but unfortunately it was always overshadowed by his misplaced aggression. Year before last he had what could be considered a breakout season, but last year went backwards a little with his disposal in particular, but I put that down to the fact that our defence was constantly under far too much pressure. I think the fact that Roos is what I would consider a "no nonsense" coach and having a formidable reputation (messiah effect) has probably made Dunn reconsider his role and has helped him to focus on the play rather than the player.

Yes and no... it can mean that you simply don't have the depth to be able to replace players. However, I do prefer to think it is because we now have a good enough first 22.

Yes, that means a minimum of 25 of their current playing group are to be issued "show cause" notices. I assume that if this is to drag on in the courts, at the point where the notices are issued it could only be done on a player by player basis? In which case, I would very much doubt the club could afford to act.

One question... is a show cause notice indicative of a player being guilty of the crime and the infraction notice the equivalent of a sentence being handed down? In other words, is the show cause notice simply giving the "guilty" player an opportunity to put a case to ASADA as to why they should be treated with leniency when it comes to the sentencing? The reason I ask is because of the AFL's response to Collingwood in the Marley Williams case prior to him being given a suspended sentence: "The AFL could argue that Williams, as he has already been found guilty, be suspended by the Magpies.".

Sad day indeed... 40 at Essendon and 17 at Cronulla... I wonder how many of those are no longer on their respective teams playing lists. Even if it was as many as 10 at Essendon, their list would still be decimated and they would not be able to field a team without dipping into their VFL affiliate (or whatever it is called); would that be the AFL's contingency plan?

The guy does the best he can and if he is not good enough, then that is hardly his fault that the game has passed him by. How many games of AFL have heroes like Dees13 played that entitles the likes of him/her to abuse a player because he gets a game???
