Can I suggest you up the Lifetime Membership to a nice round $100, and then all previously subscribed members with Lifetime memberships could treat the $40 difference as a donation. Just a thought. When you think about it, $40 is really just a few cups of coffee, so shouldn't hurt too many.

I was actually thinking that frame-by-frame footage should only be shown to determine the point of the impact... when it comes to the amount of time a player has to react and take evasive action, the tribunal should only be allowed to pass judgement based on watching the replay at normal speed.

All players from all clubs should wear black armbands... this goes much further than the MFC.

I have it on good authority that Nerf are about to be instated as major sponsor for the AFL in 2015 and that Sherrin are to be replaced as the official ball manufacturer... this was after it was brought to the attention of the AFL that such an upgrade would result in a dramatic reduction in the number of finger injuries being suffered by players.

And also one game and percentage away from 18th. Yes, you're correct about us improving, but until we can string consecutive wins together and build the players confidence, we are unlikely to progress too much further up the ladder. Playing good footy is one thing, but coming up against a team like Hawthorn is something else... that is something that can quickly sap the confidence out of a team and leave them floundering for a couple of weeks while they regroup. We are a chance against the Bullies and the Tigers, but if we stumble there, then there's a very good chance we will be in for a lot of pain over the following weeks when we meet Port and the Pies who are both playing much better football than us... and I mean chalk and cheese better! Nice to have finals aspirations as supporters, but I think the players and coaching staff have a slightly more realistic view of where they are at, and I would imagine that even they would not be upset if they were not to play finals footy until next year... as has been said more than once in this thread, the team are taking on each game as it comes.

Well, I for one was talking him up right from the start as it was patently obvious that he had a hell of a lot of potential... as is often the case on these forums (and Demonology), many were prepared to write him off too soon. I recall I was laughed at for daring to compare him to Chapman... and now, despite the fact he is a different type of player, he is showing many of those traits as he has improved his awareness, disposals and his accuracy around the goals. He did improve, you are correct... but he was always going to improve.

And let's not forget he was massively underrated by Demons fans up until a couple of years ago as well.

I realise that JR...I was just referring to this particular game and thread. I thought Byrne played a pretty important role in us winning by locking up opposition players and ball at times when it was looking like Adelaide we're going to run over the top of us. I haven't seen the replay, but that was certainly the impression I got in real time watching of the game.

I actually think Byrne is be a little maligned in this thread...he may not have won a lot of possessions, but in the last quarter when it counted, he held the ball in our attacking half. Not a brilliant game, but an important one all the same. Definitely not as bad as some make out.

Such a talent, such a t-shirt and more than a passing resemblance to one Todd Viney in the head department.
