I can do that will take a couple of hours, the first being driving out to their place.
  2. If you look back it was not so long ago they were Ninthmond. The coach was under constant scrutiny, "can he coach?" was the media and supporter's refrain. As noted elsewhere it was only a few years ago that they cleaned out all assistant coaches and gave him one more chance. A solid list with a few stars but not stellar. Players like Grimes have improved with sheer hard work. Ninth at the bye they didn't drop their heads. I look at where they were and think we certainly can emulate that outcome. Houli in a post match interview stated how much the players love Hardwick and how he believes in them. Before last year I got that sense from our players. Last night their recruiting of two high profile players Lynch and Prestia really paid off. Perhaps we need to be bold again in that space. At this time of year we tend to focus on our woes and holes but are we that different to the old Ninthmond? I have some real confidence we can do it if we hang in there. I look at what the Tigers have done and see no reason we can't do the same.
  3. Makes sense to me. GWS will not be able to meet the demands of all of its 26 yo brigade who will want to cash in for their last contract.

I am more gobsmacked by the Greene apologists.
  5. anyone know our surgery count for the off season?
  6. Everyone is linked to St Kilda this year.
  7. Lets hope he can overcome the injury.

One less thread doing my head in.

Thank you both, Jeffy an absolute gem for us and great to watch especially when he got the ball out the back.
  10. Whilst I have been quick to bag the club this week, points to them for including Clarko in the presser and to him for joining in. I am sure it would have been appreciated by Jordy . I see he asked for job offers can the club take note.

It's off topic but I do. He is not Rance but he is a very good backman when fit. Of course my opinion is that of a supporter but I think most commentators at least shared that view when we got him. That said I accept on performances this year he wouldn't get to average. On topic he is not yet qualified to be in the leadership group.

May made a mistake and I think will come good next year, that said I don't think he should be in the leadership group given the events of this year.

Serve them right, I have never thought that either Scott brother could coach.
  14. Thank you Jordan for your hard work and impact at the club, you wore the red and blue proudly and with distinction.
  15. Rest Max if there is even the remotest chance his hammy is suspect. As for the rest I really don't care after last week.
  16. After they decide which PP they are giving to GWS who are clearly struggling at the moment.
  17. I have tried to be optimistic but tonight was the straw. The primary blame for tonight rests firmly with the coaches. No tall of any sort forward and we played ANB, JKH, Spargo,Stretch who are not up to it. Seriously at least Hunt has tried all year and has shown signs. Then we throw Frost forward as an admission of the spectacular selection failure. And what were our mids doing. Max got every tap and they were nowhere to be seen. Secondary is those picked played with no heart. No one will want to join this rabble. It breaks my heart. it was an embarrassing performance. Just pathetic.
  18. Good Grief what a mess.
  19. In my opinion an example of the dreadful double standard of the AFL. They talk down long established clubs that are struggling whilst propping up the clubs they "need" to succeed. GWS (like the Gold Coast) have no natural fan base and are struggling in the West here. The average home crowd is reported as 12000 per match and has been declining in the last two years despite the wealth of talent that has gifted to them.
  20. Well what a pack of miserable old sods you are, we get a 129 cms of fresh snow and all I hear is complaints. There is no pleasing some dees supporters. (Omac was alright today and looked like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.)
  21. Suggested this last week. Take the weight off his shoulders and let him run free for a change, absolutely nothing to lose.
  22. Clearly something is amiss with Brayshaw. On Saturday night I was able to go down to the rooms after the match, as they came down the race to the rooms Goody had his arm around Brayshaw who looked distressed. Mind you they all looked pretty close to distressed and I was left in no doubt as a group they are hurting. I actually found the looks on their faces pretty confronting. Pre game McDonald spoke at the club function and said that all the players know its hard for the supporters to turn up but it means a lot to the playing group that supporters turn up. Goody also turned up briefly and said the players remain united.
  23. Weideman out for the season. Our problem is we have no fit forwards thats why we persist with Smith. We dont present any forward threat so teams can (and have) exploited that. Why not see if Omac is able to take a mark forward, he was hopeless last week but why not try that, seriously what do we have to lose? Its not like the other options are irresistible. Sadly my brother have President's club passes this week and I agreed to go a long time ago. So I have to fly down for this one. A very expensive night of punishment coming up, all i hope is the President is actually there so I can share a few thoughts.
  24. This thread is a lot longer than I expected.
  25. What I despise about this is the sense of entitlement GCS and GWS have when it comes to money, picks and a premiership. They both have been gifted more than enough access to picks and salary cap relief. GWS has managed that process a lot better than GCS.
