  1. 6 - Hibberd 5- Tracc 4- May 3-Gawn 2 - Hannan 1 - Harmes play harmes in the midfield......!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Giants Stadium! Damn I can walk to the SCG, still its not a bad place to watch a low attendance match its still just like a big country ground.
  3. Good for those of us living in Sydney, we may be the only people at the Saints/Kangas game. As for the other games they may be harder to get into with only 10,000 seats but will remind me of the early years of the swans up here.
  4. If he was found in the middle of a suburb by police and has no recollection of part of the night its hard to see how he shouldn't be required to quarantine for 14 days, apart from any penalty for breaching the rules.
  5. McQueen Thanks for sharing that I for one really enjoyed it.
  6. No hatred. What i said was: "I am not convinced Smith is the answer down back and would prefer someone who can play a lock down role. Omac did that on Darling and this week with two serious forwards on the paddock we need him and May."
  7. I try my hardest to stay positive and know we have been dealt a crap hand this year but when a team just plays keepings off and we have no answer for it I think questions have to be asked. I didn't see a move to try and fix the problem. Each week I watch with the most loyal and positive of supporters and even he yesterday said the coaching and selections were bad. It may be the coverage but does Goodwin ever get mad about some of our terrible errors? I applaud the OP's sentiment but I'd like to see some improvement.
  8. We looked better up forward when Tmac went off and Trac was down there, however i did think Tmac showed some improvement late in the game. He needs some support and I would include Weid (or Jackson who at least has a crack) at FF. I am not convinced Smith is the answer down back and would prefer someone who can play a lock down role. Omac did that on Darling and this week with two serious forwards on the paddock we need him and May. (Lever's inexplicable early performance where he failed to contest left me bewildered and he can't play the lock down role). In: Omac; Weid (or Jackson); Bennell. Out: Smith;VDB; Hannan( or Melk)
  9. A season where we get no breaks. Other teams have had the benefit of playing and knowing who they would play. A completely compromised season.
  10. No system. No coaching plan to disrupt the simple Geelong keepings off plan. We looked best when Tmac was off the ground and Trac went forward. Smith was missing and should have been swung forward for a while. I really think it was a very poor coaching display and I dont usually buy into that argument. We also lost at the selection table again. VDB was not ready. We needed Weid up front which would have helped TMac.
  11. Lets hope Nev and his family are ok. Nev has done more for our community than this pathetic and cowardly individual sitting behind a keyboard. I watched Eddie Betts the other night, it was harrowing. It's terrible he, or anyone else, has to deal with this disgraceful stuff.
  12. I think this is a good result, we avoid the Perth Hub. Indeed given the uncertainty of the year the idea of basing ourselves in Maroochy for a few weeks is not a bad idea. A familiar place for the team. I'd expect round 7 will be away against a Qld team. It will then be much harder for the AFL to put us in some other hub arrangement. I am not sure the whole home and away thing (apart from Geelong and the WA hub with crowds) is going to mean much this year.
  13. Appalling. Our season thrown into disarray might be worthy of some sympathy.
  14. Seriously, this outcome is unfair to us. Momentum is important in a season not to mention the ability at this early stage to build up match fitness.
  15. As a member of the SCG I got an invite to participate in a ballot for the game last week, so here's hoping for round 5!
  16. Interesting and accurate, Gawn and Trac share something in common at some stage they both realised they wanted to be the best and have worked at it. Just a hint to the rest of the team. No doubt they will just rove to Max. Essendon's mids were good against the Swans and looked pretty fast so we will have our hands full.
  17. Smith's performance cant be rewarded by a move forward, he show no understanding of his role and let his teammates down. I thought Jackson was better than TMac. Why we didn't send Harmes to tag Cripps at least for a while befuddles me and if Richardson is fair dinkum he needs to ask Goody that question.
  18. Bit harsh, he was asked to play on a tall, next to smith and lever who didn't seem to realise they were actually in the backline.
  19. 6 Gawn 5 Petracca 4 Oliver 3 Salem 2 Langdon 1 Tomlinson
  20. Absolutely, Weid has been played out of position is fit and presents. Smith was hopeless.
  21. Lever was terrible tonight, really unaccountable only lucky that Smith was worse. Let me say it Omac was better round one when he kept Darling in check. Smith had no idea in the end, went up with 2 others attempting a speccy and guess who stays down for a goal. Tmac all out of sorts and I agree he looked heavy.
  22. I feel for Weids as he has not been given a settled forward role and is not a ruckman.
  23. I dont like the shortened quarters. This is going to be a very strange season and sadly will be used to justify even more fiddling with the game.
  24. Absolutely if they help physically or with his confidence (and are allowed) wear them.
