  1. Notice they have a Chris Grant on their team as well. That's a strong list..
  2. The Tiges had 3 players on debut last time. They'll be a fairly different article this time around with inclusions like Newman and Cousins. I'd also be alot warier of Dustin Martin who is growing into a very dangerous player when it comes to clearances and winning contested ball.
  3. There are few players I enjoy more seeing kick a goal than Cam Bruce. Not necessarily for the aesthetics..
  4. Chip will own the ginga this time around.
  5. Either him or Bennell, provided he can play like he did against the Swans.
  6. I've seen Johnson mention this in a couple of interviews before. Having players such as him and Hird list him amongst their toughest opponents speaks volumes. He looks like a man who is really enjoying his footy at the moment and, fortunately, I see him playing out his career at the MFC.
  7. I'll be perturbed if Frawley doesn't get in, upset if Green doesn't get in, and stunned if Jamar doesn't get in.
  8. Most frustrating thing with Watts is his reluctance to kick it through the big sticks! But with time will come confidence. He's still doing some great things.
  9. The temptation to flame you for that one is great, I must say.
  10. The only major disappointment for me was Jurrah. His defensive efforts are becoming a major issue. Great teams in the modern game apply intense defensive pressure in their forward 50 and he's simply not pulling his weight. He's a star but needs a kick up the arse on this facet of his game.
  11. 6. Syliva (clear standout..also his goal busting through the pack was a thing of beauty) 5. Garland (MONSTER effort, who stands a chance at getting a clean pair of hands on the pill when this guy is on song?) 4. McKenzie (handled the slippery conditions as good as anyone out there) 3. Jamar (usual candidate) 2. Frawley (ditto) 1. Dunn (showed great composure when needed) Apolgoies to Bartram. He's moulded himself into a key part of our defence and once again produced some great head over the footy stuff but his poor disposal was a bit more noticeable than last week.
  12. Anyone who would begrudge us this win can get stuffed.
  13. He also singled out Frawley, Garland and Bartram as illustrations of speed in rebounding out of defence being one of our great strengths. He's a class act no doubt.
  14. Jones seems like such a genuine bloke. Don't know if anyone else saw the piece that Gerard Healy did on him which gave an insight into his life outside of football, but he's the kinda guy you feel proud to have wearing the Demons jumper.
  15. The game thread in the Swans section on bigfooty is good stuff too. The hatred toward's Bruce's emotional commentary is hilarious.
  16. Jurrah was doing it after the game as well.
  17. I must admit I enjoy taking a sneaky look at other club forums. Tigerland in particular was fun to browse when they were languishing down the bottom with no light at the end of the tunnel. Good for a chuckle.. One thing I've noticed and found interesting is how highly other supporters seem to rate Bate. Much higher than many of our own supporters seem to, myself included. Yet his name continually pops up when our best players are being mentioned.
  18. 6. Bartram 5. Frawley 4. Green 3. Syliva 2. Jamar 1. Wonamagic Apologies to, well, the majority of the team.
  19. Bartram had a blinder as well. Am loving his work. Tried his guts out all day and won some great contested footy.
  20. Put us in the 8. Change the rules..give us a wildcard..just put us in there for heaven's sake..
  21. The right outcome. She's horrendous.
  22. As controversial a figure as he's been, it will be a shame if this is the way in which he exits league footy.
  23. Hopefully someone who can kick better than Brown as well...
  24. 6. Frawley 5. Scully 4. MacDonald 3. Bennell 2. Davey 1. Johnson McKenzie unlucky. If Jurrah started working a bit off the ball then I'd be throwing a point his way as well, but as it stands..
