haha...dear god if these were team changes I'd need my head read. I'm talking about the players displayed in the forum banner. Time for a changing of the guard.
Scully would get my vote along with Bruce for players who were well below par today. There were a couple of instances where he hung off his player for seemingly no reason, and when he had the ball he held on to it for too long which is rather uncharacteristic for him.
We still have some problems up front. Let's be honest, Adelaide were a shambles today. A better side would have put us to bed after we failed to take advantage of our possession. A big strong marking forward is desperately needed.
Say what you want about Fev, but he definitely adds an extra something when he's on the panel.
They should get the Ox back. [censored] commentator, but boofhead pannelist is right up his alley I reckon.
He was like a petulant child in the post-Staints press conference. He's incredibly arrogant and blunt in his responses at the best fo times, but he outdid himself this weekend.
But I second the comments about what he's done with the list of players he'd had being a reflection of his ability as a coach - that is a very good one.
We dominated the midfield in the 1st quarter but not enough players i50 for us to kick to. Still tackling and chasing hard which is good to see but Adelaide starting to convert their chances.
Whatever dude. You have to put things into perspective. It's Round 2 after a season of being belted, and we've taken a top 4 contender to the brink of defeat.
I make no excuses for having my doubts about Bailey after last week's disgraceful display against the Hawks, and am still to be totally convinced of his ability to take us to where we should be. But yesterday was a step in the right direction and proved that our list isn't nearly as bad as others might think, youth or no youth. So long as we play man on man K-I-S-S football we'll beat more teams than will beat us.
I hope Bailey starts to get a few wins on the board and sticks around, because as a person I think most Dee fans have no complaints. But he needs wins.
After last week, I think we should be enormously satisfied with it. The fact the margin was closer than expected and that we were probably the better side doesn't alter the fact that we got we wanted from this game - a lift in intensity and desire for the footy.
