  1. And I stand by that. If you don't like it that's your issue, not mine.
  2. Well? You're likely one of the reasons alot of fans on this forum keep quiet cause they get shouted down with sarcastic arrogance. It's just [censored] footy mate. Pull your head in and appreciate that we all follow the same club and the same game. Difference of opinion is a good thing.
  3. I expected us to lose it, and I honestly I can think of far worse things, as the degree of the media spotlight this early on in the season was beginning to feel a bit sickening. This allows us to resettle and look at our entire list to see exactly where we're at.
  4. The question posed was whether or not you enjoy having a female commentate on football. Labelling someone's opinion that contradicts yours as "moronic" I'd say is the ultimate achievement in moronic.
  5. I never claimed they didn't. I'm saying that given I find her voice a distraction from the outset, these things only serve to accentuate it.
  6. 6. Grimes 5. Green 4. J-Mac 3. Davey 2. Bartram 1. Dunn
  7. That was really beginning to [censored] me by the game's end. You'd think someone would give him a nudge and correct him.
  8. Yeah this isn't a statement about women's involvement in football. They are crucial to the game's success. But commentary just doesn't sit right.
  9. The North/Etihad curse continues. Was a spirited resurgence in the 3rd term though.
  10. Maybe I'm just not open minded enough, but it doesn't help when she gets players' names wrong and repeatedly uses footballing cliches..
  11. What's your take? Personally I'm not a fan.
  12. Freo at $3 to make the Top 4. If you'd said that at the beginning of the season they'd be calling for the men in white coats.
  13. Bar us playing Richmond in the GF, we're still on track for this prediction...
  14. His cool, non-phased demeanour suddenly seems alot more impressive to everyone now he's winning games. Myself included.
  15. We normally come up against them in rivalry round don't we? This is the first time in a long time where I would've looked forward to it, although their shamozzle against Carrrlton may have been the wake up call they needed. I shudder to think what they are going to do to the poor old Tiges. I feel total indifference towards North, aside from the fact we can't seem to beat the pricks.
  16. I also noted in that HUN article by Rod Nicholson there was reference to Aaron Davies. Okay Frawley hasn't been around long but come on.
  17. Am about to go to Europe for 2 months. Beautiful timing just as the team is clicking into gear but what can you do. Fully realising this is a long shot, but does anyone know of places/ex-pat pubs to watch the footy in say London, Paris or Berlin? 2 months without at least a small fix will be tough.
  18. Caco do you mean the Magpies club? If so I'd give that place a miss. Doubtful to be many (if any) Dees supporters there, but Eastlakes is another good option.
  19. I don't think Josh Kennedy quite deserves to be listed with that lot.
  20. I was at that match and as a nonpartisan onloooker (well, taking away the fact that I 'll barrack for any team playing the Pies), it was one of the most amazing things I've seen at the footy. Pies fans around me were having what could only be described as a religious experiences..
  21. Another Canberra Demon here. I'd also suggest the Ainslie as the best venue. There was great support there for the match against the Lions. Couldn't believe my ears when the Lions fans behind us were having a cry about our team being stacked with priority draft picks. 5 rounds in and they're having a sook. Incredible. But I digress. All Bar Nun also usually put the footy on the big screen and that has a good atmosphere.
  22. 6. Frawley 5. Jones 4. Moloney 3. Trengove 2. Bate 1. Grimes
  23. Fev isn't unlikeable. He's just very, very loose. No need to talk about him now anyway.
