  1. Have there been any reprimands against Carlton if third party deals are suddenly frowned upon? Make no mistake, they'll do everything they can to ensure he goes to GWS, especially now that it would appear the star player options are becoming fewer and fewer. Why else would GWS be offering this disgusting amount of coin?
  2. I lol'd.
  3. I'm left feeling slightly better about our losses to Collingwood, West Coast and the Dogs, and slightly worse about our loss to North.
  4. How in the world are GWS able to offer these sort of figures? Will half their list be paid in shiny pennies? 7 mil over 6 years for a second year player is ridiculous. He's yet to really prove himself if we're being perfectly honest.
  5. 6. Petterd 5. Trengove 4. Watts 3. Howe 2. Frawley 1. McKenzie
  6. Anyone remember this halfway through the fourth quarter? Watched the replay and loved the description given by Dunstall. I think it was Sylvia with the clearance, passed through about five sets of hands as clean as you ilke, looped in the air with a reverse tap over the head to Jurrah who caught it on the fly and snapped it just to the right. If it had gone through I think Dwayne's head would've exploded. When we're on, I think even the netural would say we're close to the most exciting team to watch.
  7. Carlton
  8. I have a massive mancrush on that guy. He is on fire at the moment.
  9. He's a marking machine. When he gets the dukes out in front he could very easily become our best, next to Wattsy. And of course an excellent sense of where the big sticks are. Future star of the comp. Bookmark it.
  10. One thing I have noticed of late is the repeated use of the line "happy to be back playing footy". Tom keeps using it. Lynch keeps using it. There's a noticeable omission of the fact he's happy to be back playing footy for Melbourne. That part seems to have been dropped. Don't like picking apart words but it's grating on me that references to the MFC are becoming less and less. Personally I think the lad is gone. Would love to be proved wrong.
  11. 6. Jones 5. Moloney 4. Garland 3. Watts 2. Trengove 1. Martin
  12. I think it is more out of desperation to see their team come back into the contest. I'm sure some will be crying foul with the umpires today, but we had just as many 50/50s going against us, particularly early on in the match.
  13. Apparently, yes. Yes it was.
  14. The media have it in their heads that this is our "down week". Frankly it will only make it that much more satisfying if we go out there and roll them. My slight concern is Brad Johnson tipped us.
  15. After us beating them and then the massacre tonight, they could skip Christmas this year for all I care.
  16. That is bad news if Jamar is still out.
  17. BT as Howe goes up for the mark: "MacDonald!!" His best effort was during the post-match celebrations after we beat Essendon. Something along the lines of "they might want to be careful here...don't want to overdo it.." haha..what a clown. Hey, he's still better than Dwayne. Now there's a prized turnip.
  18. I think they hate us more than we hate them. That OP is gold. Important match this one. Of all the teams in the league, they are the most likely to become the new rival over the next 10 years.
  19. Of course we can beat the Tigers. They're the Tigers ffs.
  20. Bartram's kicking doesn't seem to be improving. To be honest he stuck out like a sore thumb today. Love the effort he puts in every week but his role in a future premiership side I am not so sure about.
  21. Dear god no. Doesn't have the athleticism required of a modern day forward and provides no versatility outside of being plonked in the goal square. Should be aiming alot higher than the Tomahawk imo.
  22. 6. Martin - can't speak highly enough of his game today. Set the standard early. 5. Watts 4. McKenzie 3. Green 2. Howe 1. Frawley
  23. Agree 100%. In theory there is alot of sense in kicking it to the taller targets on the flank, but it shouldn't be the only option and certainly not always to the one side. It is also by no means a guarantee that the ball will be spilled over the boundary against a good team like Collingwood who play with desparation. Our predictabilty was completely exposed against the Pies who were able to set up in time to get players around the contest, win the clearances with ease and clock up the repeat i50s.
  24. I always feel a tinge of guilt when I bag him cause he seems a likeable and relatable fella. I'd love for him to get the results needed to stay on as coach. Unfortunately that isn't happening.
  25. No need to take offense just cause I disagree. Regrdless of any provisos, I don't believe a bargaining chip is a strong basis for a captain's selection in what could well be a pivotal time in the club's history.
