He was very good on the weekend no doubt. All I want to see from a player of Col's ability is consistency. He's dropped off too many times before to get sucked in again. Maybe a switch to regular playing time in the midfield will work to his and the team's benefit. Time will tell.

You know how "success breeds success"? We're the complete opposite of that. A guy like Tom McDonald gives me some hope for a brighter future. Not the most skilled, far from the best kick, but is getting the most out of himself every week and is emerging as a potential A grade defender. Whether we can hang on to him is another question, but while we can still produce players like T Mac, there is hope for the MFC yet.

You can quite easily imagine the match committee playing a game of "pin the magnet on the whiteboard". I'm seriously sick of getting monstered in the centre at the beginning of games. Not sure what the clearance stats were for the first quarter but I'm guessing very ugly. There's no excuse for being lethargic and disorganised from the outset. Bate, Bennell and Dunn will be first to go next year surely. Bennell disgraced himself and the jumper with his efforts today.

Alot of anger and frustration over Miller's performances with unanimous calls for him to be dropped this week and many saying he should be delisted. Ah memories. This really was doing my head in yesterday as well and must be high on the list of things to be rectified in the coming weeks if we are to have any hope of winning a few games. Our failure to capitalise during the periods where we absolute dominated the game was telling. We can no longer bomb it in there and rely on a Mitch Clark to take a contested grab in a 2 on 1.

I'm definitely in favour of the sentiment of the OP. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and should feel free to express it. The Neeld thing has been done though. It's been discussed ad nauseum and frankly anyone who calls for his head after a weekend where we were decimated with injury and playing interstate, in light of the obvious improvements that have been made recently, deserves the responses they get. I say that as a bit of a Neeld skeptic in the first few weeks as well.
