I have doubts, but to not give him at least another year is crazy stuff. The off-field issues alone have meant he is yet to have a half decent crack at this.

On my list of concerns, in the world, this ranks somewhere near the bottom.

The team that beat us by 5 goals last week just scored 9 points in a half of football against Fremantle. At home.

I'm not jumping on the anti-Neeld train, but this weekend is the first time in a LONG time where I've gone out of my way not to watch the game. Drinking is alot more fun without the misery of a Melbourne performance. We've become unwatchable by my reckoning. I'm just utterly tired of it.

Wanted to know if any other Deelanders are disappointed over the rivalry we had building with the Tiges being all but gone. Two clubs down and out for a long time and at similar stages of development had had some cracking games in recent years and were looking to be on similar trajectories. It is plain for all to see that Richmond have continued to move forward whilst we for a number of reasons have gone backwards. The spirit in this matchup has not been there this year, and when compared to the Richmond v North game today, pales in comparison. Not the worst thing to have happened, but disappointing nonetheless. Am I alone or overthinking this?

Tom Couch gets to play his first game in a true Melbourne performance. What a putrid effort. I can't fathom how an AFL side can perform like that. Given the quality of the opposition, it feels like the worst performance of the year. Absolutely no conviction or creativity moving the ball forward. Horrible decisions in our back half and an inexplicably barren forwardline for which Neeld has to provide answers. In fact he has to provide answers for a fair bit more than that as most of our players looks to have their confidence absolutely shot to pieces. If he focuses on the higher tackle count or the higher numnber of inside 50s I'm gonna put my fist through something. We were playing a third of Port Adelaide ffs. Even with our outs, that sort of display is not excusable. The worst part was the commentators didn't seem all that surprised by the level of performance. It is now expected that Melbourne will be horrendous. To be where we are after 6 years of rebuilding is [censored] outrageous and the numbness I feel week after week has reverted to anger and wondering if I've had enough of following this garbage club.

I'd be genuinely interested in knowing what Neeld was thinking with our forward setup tonight. Pathetic excuse of a team. I'm done for this season, [censored] it.

Every Melbourne game consists of a Howe screamer, a Blease goal on an acute angle, and a bunch of shite football in between.

I feel sorry for those marines if this is the only AFL game they ever see. Literally any other team would be beating this Port side.

I'm sick of watching this team. My god we are horrible.

It's a similar story on League Teams which he hosts. I struggle to watch it when they're discussing Melbourne because the views of the panel members are often horribly misinformed.

That's not saying much. It would be difficult for me to care any less about Denham's opinion.

I know it's popular to drag on about the Couch, but it's starting to seriously annoy me. What more does he need to do? Give Mags a rest if need be (if he's holding his spot, although that's now as a defensive forward so not sure about the logic there either). Just play the kid. We're third bottom and we have a guy whose racking up 25 possessions and kicking 4 goals, and performing close to that level consistently, considered not to be best 22? Why? How?
