Moloney needs to go ASAP. He is actually bogging us down.
-
He held one out on the wing. I'd like to see him take a grab in our attacking 50 just once.
-
..and this is different from any other game this season? Meanwhile Sammy Blease is showing why he was a first rounder. His run and carry has been a massive highlight. We're in the game at halftime which is more than I expected.
-
Is Grimes' kicking an issue? He has a habit of coughing it up under no pressure whatsoever.

Hampson is destroying Riv in the one on one.

Tappy is so awesome.
-
Rory Sloane is also great to watch. Absolute gun.

My favourite line. Mitch Clark when asked about how he got the scar on his forehead: "Playing footy. Going hard at the footy..something Aaron doesn't know about.." I'm still laughing.
-
Toss up between the filth and the bummers. Pies but only just, cause I really do hate Essendon and their fans and to grab a win against them now with us at the bottom and them flying near the top would be so awesome. All fantasy stuff this.

I understand all of that but I'd like to see some rolling of the dice at this stage. I applaud the inclusion of Davis but how long until we get to see Couch? I couldn't give a stuff if he's similar to Moloney or even Magner, our midfield isn't just lacking in pace. It's lacking in every facet, measurable or otherwise. Give the supporters some hope ffs. Petterd didn't do much in the one game that he was given an opportunity..?

That is one uninspiring list of INs. All it needed was Bate to round it out. Couch, Cook, Taggert, Martin, Petterd...all overlooked. Meh, bring on the slaughter!

The Johnny Farnham of football journalism. Mike needs to ACTUALLY retire. The assessment I've found myself agreeing with most is Ox's. Hm..
-
I wouldn't include Bail amongst the ones to go. With the right coaching he could become a very good player. As for the OP, what did you hope to gain from publishing this? A chorus of "hear hear!"? If you want to ditch the club, go for it. But save the big song and dance.

What's a trophy?

Understand where you're coming from, but it's more the way we've lost rather than the raw stats in the W/L columns. Richmond was a thumping for instance. Richmond.

After 8 rounds? Pretty short path. Also, how is this relevant to this thread?

A natural leader and one hell of a smooth customer when it comes to the media spotlight. His appointment as captain is one thing I have no regrets about.

This is a brilliant post. Sums up my feelings perfectly.

When they set up the show by saying they would analyse where Melbourne was going wrong, I assumed they meant analysing what was happening on the field. Instead we got King spewing a bunch of beaten up crap about off-field issues. Dunstall played devil's advocate but he could've humiliated him. Almost every point he made was plucked out of thin air with no backing. It was like they grabbed someone off the street and asked their opinion.

David King endorses this thread. Don't know if anyone caught his performance on AFL Insider. What an absolute dope of an individual. Reminded me why I don't watch the show. - Said Neeld was the wrong appointment because he wasn't the right fit for the club and the list, but couldn't specify who would be the right fit or why. Continued to use the 8 and a half wins last season as evidence the wrong decision was made. - Said the club needed to act swiftly to fix "the problem", but couldn't specify what that act should be. - Said the club should do a review of its operations to identify "the problem", completely oblivious to any review having already taken place. - Claimed that the club was not acknowledging there was a problem. President and captain have done exactly that. - Implied that the club could go under in a couple of years time due to sponsors and members jumping off. Just hysterical nonsense from start to finish, and Fox try to tout this bloke as a brilliant footy brain. He's a complete imbecile.

Missing ingredients: effort and trust. You can't win games of footy if you're not trusting the guy next to you. Each contest that is shirked, each opposition mark that is taken uncontested, and each yard that is jogged instead of run diminishes the trust a little more. This is why the likes of Moloney and Sylvia must go and be replaced with those who will have a dip. The bleeding has to stop.

This line of argument is nonsense. So only those who have played AFL are qualified/allowed to provide comment? Seriously...

I agree that personal attacks on players should never be tolerated, but we have every right to vent our frustration at player's performances. Indeed if not here, then where? Among the muck heap that is the MFC at the present time, I find a tiny bit of solace in coming here and seeing hundreds of other guys and gals who feel the same way as I do. It's also all very well to say we have an administration and a footy dept who will do their best to get it right, but when is this not the case? Surely we as members have a responsbility to hold them to account. Blind faith is all well and good, but it can often lead to positions like the one we find ourselves in. We all demonstrate our passion for this club in different ways, and that too needs to be respected to a certain degree.
