I don't see how this post is backing you up in any way. Yes, West Coast have better depth than we do. And? Petterd is out of form, Morton has consistently failed to deliver, Bennell hot and cold, Gys coming back from injury, Tynan a first year player. I'd say that Jones, Watts, Clark, Magner, McKenzie, McDonald and Grimes have all performed consistently and continued to develop since Neeld took over. Not dignifying this anymore. The fact is there is a general consensus that we're onto a good thing in terms of our head coach. If you think Neeld is an abject failure after half a season, go chat to David King about it.

This is an embarassing post. Fact of the matter is our team was gutted before the first bounce and at this stage we simply don't have the personnel to cover such crucial losses. The team was making notable progress up until this week and I think most supporters acknowledge that as well as the size of the task Neeld has ahead of him. I'll be watching the rest of this season with one eye open as I'm expecting a few more days like today. A clean out will be occurring at year's end and it is then we will begin to see Neeld's rebuild start in earnest.

He has, which says alot in itself.

How Mags??? How??!!!

Yeah Leigh Matthews can [censored] right off.

95% of the commentary pre-game about Brisbane. lol

This could get real ugly.

..or Deano "go out there and have fun with it" Bailey. Clark, Mags and even Sellar are looking the goods, while Tynan looks like he could've been a great pickup for a 3rd rounder. Basically the evidence is there that we finally have developed a clue when it comes to our recruiting which places us in good stead for the end of the year. That said, I think we've only scratched the surface with a number of players on the list.

I visited there once. Once was enough.

I'm tipping the Lions too but I don't see why we should be such rank outsiders considering the steady improvement over the past few weeks. The Dogs were absolutely woeful last week, and the Eagles actually won that game, the goal ump pinched it off them. From memory though they looked very fatigued and had an off night. You'd think from the build up that we were playing Geelong at Kardinia.

I'm yet to see one pundit that gives us a chance in hell this week. Yes we don't have Mitch but....did I miss something or are we playing Brisbane? I'll be very disappointed with a loss.

Would happily give up pick 13 for Wellingham.

I'm not Dunn's biggest advocate but I'd be disappointed if he was dropped after his effort last week. I quite enjoyed seeing him being pushed up the ground and providing a reminder that he isn't just an excellent kick of the footy when taking a set shot from 40m. His tackling and pressure was also first class. Performance needs to be rewarded.

I desperately want to see Couch this week if only to say, "you thought Zorko was good, wait til you get a load of this guy.."

How old is he, seriously..

Well done Tommy!

Gutted but not surprised. It's been that kind of year. Echo the sentiments of others that I feel for Mitch moreso than the club. He deserves better luck. Cant just write off 2012 as a result of this. We've got to keep improving and look to win as many of the remaining games as possible. Onward and upward!!!

So I take it we're discounting the possibility that they are actual fans, and just want to differentiate themselves in some way?

I mentioned this in the post-match thread. Disgraceful. Not once but twice, he pretty much belittled Junior. It really [censored] me off tbh, much more than all the pre-match banter.
-
Just watched Sheedy's presser. Wow. He made light of Junior's sacking on a couple of occasions with the man sitting right beside him. Ensured that what was already an awkward moment for Junior was a given a firm nudge towards being a humiliating one. I'm sure he meant nothing by it but it was really stupid stuff from Sheeds. On the plus side, Junior seemed open to returning to Melbourne after his playing career, describing it as a "romantic" idea. Hope he does.

I think one thing you're overlooking is that whilst they are a first year team, it was only last week that Richmond very nearly lost to them, scraping home by a couple of goals. In that light, the fact we have obliterated the Giants is a big positive to take away for the upcoming few weeks imo.

Have a nice flight back to Blacktown Tom ...

Well yeah, the scoreboard says enough I would've thought. Then again... -

Yeah they did. Most shook his hand, a couple had a chat like Blease and Garland. Classier way to go about it once the siren goes.
