  1. Completely disagree with this. There was an onus of responsibility on Beamer to accept the direction the club was going in, and he couldn't get past himself to do that. Initially I thought Neeld pulling him from the leadership group altogether was an interesting move, but it would've been done with good reason and Beamer's petulant reaction to it pretty much justified the action. His on field performance in 2012 was disgusting and unforgiveable. We don't need self professed "leaders" like that around the club. We have some genuine ones coming through the ranks. Glad to see the back of him.
  2. Do not want. Seems to be turning a corner but still too much of a risk. Pick 20 would be absurd.
  3. I don't disagree OD. It was a bad one, there's no doubting that. My only point was I don't look at the list of players taken afterward and see alot standouts. At a glance, Smedts, Atley, Isaac Smith, Cripps and Darling are probably the pick of the litter. It sucks, but it could've been worse.
  4. It does hurt a bit, but the picks between 12 and 33 (Howe) aren't brimming with superstars, particularly of the KPF mould, Darling aside (who everyone else passed on as well). We got T Mac at 53, so to me that almost evens it out.
  5. Just as Frawley's other nickname is "The Hulk". Times are a changin'.
  6. I actually admire those watching replays of this season. I seriously couldn't do it.
  7. He's a Crows supporter, for the record.
  8. Jokes aside, this would be a stupid trade. Should at least get a pick, not a nobody who by the reports of those who have actually seen him is a spud. Problem with Morton is he's a heartbreaker. His decisionmaking at times is deplorable, and it costs us momentum. Give him about 20kg and a better brain and you'd have a real player.
  9. That's the joke, Joyce.
  10. Still chuckling about the flailing arm tube men. Classic.
  11. Winner. I really like the look of him. Silky mover, composed with the ball, plus he interviews very well. We did well in the Hogan deal me thinks.
  12. Slight rearrangement: Grimes (Heart) Watts (Diamond) Trengove (Spade) Viney (Club) Fitzpatrick (Joker)
  13. I like the fact that the addition of Jack and Jesse will mean a list comprising of Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jake, Jamie, James, James, James, Jared, Jeremy, Jesse, Joel, Jordan, Jordie, Josh, Jamar, Jetta, and Jonesy....give or take a couple.
  14. SO stoked if this is true.
  15. I bookmarked him to have a big 2012. So in light of how that prediction turned out, I'm predicting him to have a woeful 2013.
  16. At least we didn't show our hand early....
  17. NERD!!!
  18. deejammin, as long as we're clarifying that it is a A reason for success. You are speaking about culture as though it is being proposed as the be all and end all. Of course there are many factors that go into a successful football club, that goes without saying.
  19. Are you sure you're not a closet Hawk OD? They lost by the way.
  20. Personally I think Martin still has alot more to offer both as an agile ruckman and as a tall forward. He adds some versatility to our list and is probably 12 months away from hitting his peak. I also accept the list needs to be turned over and he might be one that has to be sacrificed. What I can't accept is that we give up him and Pick 13 in the super draft, for a horrendously out of form forward who may never find his radar again, and a nobody. That is the worst deal I've come across in some time, and there have been some doozies.
  21. Watt's on em? There better be some cucumber.
  22. Please god...no..
