He fits into Casey this week according to Misson. Good luck Dawesy.

Great stuff. All aboard the Viv train.

I'm extremely grateful to Roosy for the job he's done, but much of what he's said in the public domain of late has been confusing to say the least. His answers after the Saints game re Etihad, selection, where the game was lost etc, were very odd, and if taken at face value, a bit concerning. Frankly he has begun to sound detached. It hasn't been a fair criticism in the past but it's starting to show now. I'm hoping Goodwin is more upfront and provides more clarity in what he says.

I've also supported Man City since the mid 90s and felt the same way. I didn't think I'd see anything to rival the 2012 league win in terms of sporting drama but this pips it. Even the manner in which it was clenched with Chelsea the reigning champs taking their arch rivals out of the race. And to think Ranieri would not have even been at the club were it not for a sex tape controversy. As freakish an occurrence as this is, it now remains to be seen if this is truly a landmark moment in English football as far as narrowing the gap between the haves and have nots. Leicester aren't the only story. West Ham are still in the hunt for Europe and are about to move to a stadium that will rival the big clubs. Chelsea will finish just above mid table. United have looked vulnerable at home all season and will likely finish outside the top four. Aston Villa, a massive club in their own right that have been in the Premier League since its inception, are now relegated. Certainly the new TV rights deal could nudge the likes of Southhampton and Everton from European aspirants to title aspirants. Times appear to be changing which is great for the league and the supporters. But in saying that, Leicester have won the title before the new deal comes into play with their entire roster costing less than City paid for Kevin de Bruyne. It's a remarkable achievement in anyone's language and even if it is to be a season that signals a changing of the guard, it's hard to see it ever being surpassed as an underdog story.

I agree with this, but the manner we were scored against on the weekend was alarming and went a little beyond growing pains. The amount of uncontested possession in the most dangerous areas of the ground was...well, we've been over it. I would hope this week would be one of the more thorough match reviews, both collectively and individually.

Never forget that it could always be worse. You could support the Tigers. Football manager Dan Richardson has admitted on SEN that the latest rebuild was done in the knowledge that it likely wouldn't achieve the ultimate success, and was to appease the fans who they believed wouldn't cop a longer rebuild. "We didn't think Richmond fans would accept an eight-year rebuild. We turned it around in four, which I think was a terrific achievement. "We're paying a price in the sense that we knew that that mature-age talent would get us to a point but not take us to the next level, which was always going to be the hardest part. "While it's been disappointing somewhat to not win a final, it's been a good achievement to play finals for three years in a row for the first time for 20 years for the club." Simply amazing. Surely this would tip some supporters over the edge. Article here: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-05-02/richmond-paying-the-price-for-recruiting-strategy-says-football-manager

Lions trailing the Swans by 2 points nearing the end of the third quarter. Absolutely no guarantees this year.
-
OP - this week's reaction has been tiddlywinks compared to some of those previous. You should've been here after the Bombers game. Then you would've seen a show. I haven't seen a lot of panic. More a lot of questions being asked on selection, tactics, fitness etc. Which is perfectly understandable.
-
Garland needs to stand tall tomorrow and put his hand up. Our situation is calling out for some seniority in the backline. Dunn and T Mac lowered their colours badly today.
-
Would've liked to be at the ground to get some kind of understanding as to how they managed to get so many players free when streaming forward. The amount of times we were outnumbered in defence was unfathomable, and was chalk and cheese from last week. You will cop a few out the back with the attacking game plan and if you can't trap it forward then you're in trouble. But today was crazy. If it was simply work rate then there seemed to be a lot of culprits. The feeling is confusion more than anything. The best thing you can say is that it's another lesson learned, but we need to react better when the game is up for grabs.

Casey game pending, but geeze if there aren't spots up for grabs now...
-
Defence has been a complete shambles.
-
Well it seems we have to share him with the league now. Everyone loves him. Was bound to happen I guess. Great to have him fill in behind the mic in the latest player interviews. Makes them a lot more watchable.
-
Despite his musings after the fact, I enjoyed it and didn't interpret it as a "me me me" act. Just a bit of fun while sticking it up the opposition. When someone like Jamie Elliott kicks a goal and goes out of his way not to celebrate with teammates. that's different. I totally embrace the attitude he's brought to the club.
-
My mind is caught three ways: the game ahead, the season ahead and the future ahead. Previously it was just the game ahead and the future ahead, as in what chance in hell do we have this week (usually none), and where the hell are we going as a club? It's a nice change to be comfortable on both those fronts and actually think about the fortunes of the season ahead. I'm trying to park the thoughts about how all the talent is going to squeeze into the side in the coming years. If the likes of Hunt and Wagner are able to settle, it makes things very interesting indeed considering the talent that didn't play on the weekend.
-
It's okay to tut tut if that's your personal preference, so long as you don't also bemoan the lack of characters in the game. That sort of double standard makes no sense to me. i wouldn't underestimate the spirit that Bugg has injected into the side, which is bringing results, and with that comes the whole package which will include the odd finger pointing at goal. Consider it a trade off.
-
Shoving injured players you'd hope doesn't become habit, but what's wrong with a little bit of showboating? It's not like he overdid it. Buggy isn't a star of the team and he knows it. So he plays it up when he kicks a goal. So what? I thought the shush to the Tigers cheers squad was fantastic and hope he doesn't tone it down too much in future. It's the same reasoning for why I love Garlett: swagger. Christ knows it's been a while since we've had anything resembling it.

Stuff em. Jono Brown loved it. More of the same thanks Buggy.
-
hahaha..I'd love this so much. Was hoping Rance would retire. That seriously would've been the cherry on top.
-
It's pretty funny that Whateley has totally backed away from it within the space of a week.
-
From the moment we picked him up I said Bugg would become a fan favourite, although it's happening a little sooner than I expected.

6. Gawn 5. Viney 4. Tyson 3. Vince 2. Garlett 1. McDonald The top two were magnificent tonight. No other word for it. Hard to fathom giving T Mac a vote with his turnovers, but the rest of his game is so unbelievably good. He toys with you as a supporter.
