Wtf are Tyson and Kennedy doing? 5 and 2 touches.
-
The coast to coast goals though. Same against the Saints. Same against the Dogs. Half decent opposition can have a field day. Hard to watch. Kent is almost making me wish we still had the sub rule.
-
Geeze mate, he mght look a bit awkward hut he doesn't look Fitz levels of awkward. He remains a decent prospect for mine, although bit more aggression wouldn't hurt. When you look like a science lab experiment you should always be intimidating the opposition.

I would've thought so too, but when I mentioned this some months ago, chookinperth (who has a good track record) said that Grimes was placed on the trade table last year with no interest shown by any club. I found that very surprising, others did not. Surely someone will pick him up. Dylan Grimes is seen as invaluable at the Tigers. If Dylan is a vastly better player than Jack I'll go jump.

A bit of a broad brush statement..

Don't rate Black at all. He's shown glimpses but they have been few and far between.

I don't know what your wet blanket posts have to do with JT's progress. That said, it doesn't take a genius to note that Collingwood have improved. But to totally disregard the result of merely 5 weeks ago when we beat them with the bulk of the team being the same is ridiculous. Sure, they just beat Geelong. Richmond also beat Sydney. Upsets happen. You're making the Pies sound like world beaters based on a two week turnaround in form. Collingwood may well start as favourites but predicting a smashing says a lot about your mindset.

Great work on all fronts RGRS. Well done. ...and off topic, have a go at the size of Hulett. Bloody hell.

What an acquisition he's been. Love him.

Billy Stretch doing some stretches. I wonder how long he'd been cooking that one up. What I liked about them is they seemed natural. The one of Gawn obviously has extra meaning but even the one of Col Garland watching the women's showcase match on tv has a nice symbolism to it. Great job.

And run a competition where a lucky female fan can win a trip to the movies baby.

Iron Man on the Iron Throne. Makes sense.

I wouldn't even take him for free. He's useless. Trading him for Kent? Good grief man.

Newton was the last minute change for Tyson. So if Tyson returns, I don't see why it would be ANB getting the chop instead of Newton. I thought ANB had the better game of the two. From what Roos said, the need for rest will be a major consideration this week with the 6 day turnaround and the trip to Alice. ANB is fresh, relatively speaking. More likely candidates for mine are Wagner, Hunt and Michie..
-
I'm confused by the suggestions of ANB being dropped. He wasn't just okay on the weekend. He was very good.

What does the best 22 look like for the second half of 2016?

You'd have Hunt AND Lumumba? I can see the logic in Hunt or Lumumba as line breaking dashers that provide a point of difference, but I wouldn't have both. It's a bit too captain risky having both. Neither are all that flash defensively. -
In fairness, Danger started as an 18 year old and was roughly the age CP is now by the time he hit 36 games.

What does the best 22 look like for the second half of 2016?

Agreed. Of those three I'd say Harmes' spot is the least secure. He's been a bit up and down and his stats flattered him a bit on the weekend. But while he's kicking goals and applying forward pressure he's ultimately doing his job. Kennedy is playing the best of the three. Fantastic pickup. Better than what I expected. -
I see a lot of Danger in him, including how strong he is in the aerial contest.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH
P-man replied to e25's topic in Melbourne Demons
Also makes it a bit crazy that he isn't eligible for the Rising Star but thems the rules. -
Loved the don't argue to his own teammate in congestion. Out of the way mortal. Trac need room. Set shots require some practice but in general play...wow. He's something out of the box.

What does the best 22 look like for the second half of 2016?
P-man replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's largely hypothetical as there will almost always be players missing for various reasons, e.g. Salem's illness could sideline him for a while. It's more getting an idea of what would be the ideal. Trenners is an interesting one. I have him at HB but his skills and composure need to be balanced against how quickly he can adapt to the more offensive role the defenders are now playing. Either way I definitely see him as best 22. -

Assuming full fitness, what would your best 22 look like for the remainder of the year? Drawing into consideration the return from injury of players like Brayshaw and vandenBerg, this is clearly becoming a more difficult task than was the case 12 months ago, which is a healthy sign. A bit of a cloud over Gus with form combined with his concussions so have left him out at this stage. No rush. Locks: Gawn, N Jones, Viney, Vince, Tyson, Hogan, Jetta, T McDonald, Garlett, Watts Elite youth: Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw, Salem, Stretch Competing midfielders: Bugg, Trengove, Neal-Bullen, vandenBerg, Newton, Michie, M Jones, Grimes Competing defenders: Frost, Garland, Dunn, Wagner, Hunt, Lumumba, O McDonald, White, Terlich (Melksham 2017) Competing forwards: Pedersen, Dawes, Kent, Kennedy, Harmes, Kennedy-Harris Developing: Weideman, Hulett, M King x2, Smith Ruck depth: Spencer B: Jetta Frost Garland HB: Vince T McDonald Trengove C: Stretch Tyson Salem HF: Petracca Pedersen Watts F: Kent Hogan Garlett R: Gawn Jones Viney I: Bugg Neal-Bullen Kennedy Oliver E: Harmes vandenBerg Dawes
