  2. David King just advocated Fremantle tanking. I [censored] you not. "What's the incentive for winning?" Of all the shows to say it on
  3. Lions are getting a proper roasting on 360. A generally forgotten club yet the week we face them is the week the players come under fierce scrutiny. Is it just me or does this happen to us a lot?
  4. Really can't see him leaving, but money can talk to just about anyone. He has a young family to think about. I'll be relieved when he's locked away.
  5. What happened to Jones? Was more looking forward to that.
  6. What a farce. Franklin doing the same act would've been laughed out of the room. Thanks for the dramatics by the way Bont. This year's Logies are done and dusted but there's always next year.
  7. Yeah nah. That is too convenient an excuse. He kicks to opposition players standing 5 to 10 metres on their own. That has nothing to do with taking risks. That's just poor execution. His skill errors directly result in opposition goals every week. Let's not pretend otherwise. His marking and reading of the the flight is generally very good. I'd prefer to see him handing the ball off to a Salem or a Vince, because there seems to be a gross overestimation of his kicking.
  8. I'd like to see one or both of Wagner and Hunt make way. Wags looks a bit fatigued and whilst Hunt's line breaking speed is a weapon, when he is getting 5 kicks in a match it only serves you so far. Honestly I'm not as sold on Hunt at this stage as others. He could be handy but far from a future best 22 lock. The problem we currently have is the most replaceable players are mainly in the backline - Garland, Michie, Wagner - and the players running hot in the seconds are the likes of ANB and Newton. If Jetta is also suspended then the headache increases. ANB will come in regardless, and the temptation to bring in Trengove when he seems ready is becoming stronger. His skills and decisonmaking would have an immediate impact on minimising costly turnovers. Sewing Machine Legs Lumumba if fit should come in. He's always a risk, but when he plays well he can be influential.
  9. 6. Jetta 5. Viney 4. Tyson 3. Kennedy 2. Stretch 1. Jones
  10. lol another blatant Dog throw
  11. No doubt. He's our best defender by a mile.
  12. McDonald honestly....you can't drop that.
  13. Well we needed that like a hole in the head
  14. McLean was standing on his own forever then.
  15. BenKen started very well.
  16. Getting absolutely smashed on transition again. Defence looks near on dysfunctional
  17. That's all fair enough, but I've also heard the argument that had we not lost to Essendon, we wouldn't have had the impetus to respond the way we did the following week against North, which provided momentum for the season up until now. It has merit. As bad a day as it was, the Essendon loss may have been the early kick up the backside required.
  18. For the next two hours, I'm a Crows fan.
  19. I tend to agree. He can be damaging forward of centre and could prove more to the side in such a role. The argument for him in defence is his disposal, but defensively he's been a liability.
  20. I'm baffled by the surprise. Roos singled out Michie twice for his performance on the weekend. Was never going out this week, despite how little some supporters think of him. Stretch the only other real candidate which was also unlikely. ANB is very stiff but a chance should come. We're merely a third of the way into the season. I'd feel safer having Dunn or O Mac as another tall option in defence. Pedo may find himself back there a bit more often. Continuing with both Hunt AND Wagner is flirting with danger in my view but we'll wait and see. They both played okay on the weekend
  21. It's funny to think how some thought Viney would play out his career as a solid B grader. Right now he's arguably in the elite category.
  22. Port's last two weeks have been against Richmond and then Brisbane at AO. It's premature to say they have "improved heaps" until we see how they go against a decent opponent, the next one being the Eagles next week. The only one of those games I would give us next to no hope in would be Sydney away, although Brisbane ran them to the wire so who knows. Hawks aren't looking the same team this year as they have in those previous. They'll be tough but they are now looking beatable. As of right now I'm not looking at the upcoming fixtures with a sense of dread. If we collapse in a heap on Sunday, that view could change.
  23. Everything crossed re Clarry. Amazing how important he has become so quickly.
