  1. If I were a mod (god help you all), this thread would be so locked. My rear view mirror has been discarded. No need for it anymore.
  2. I wonder how many Essendon supporting MCC members also buy an EFC membership. Signficantly less would be my guess.
  3. The wording is fine as is.
  4. Hard to fathom the number of Port supporters who thought they were a genuine chance of picking him up. Beating Port this season has bumped up the list of things I'd like to see ticked off. Viney BOG would be the cherry on top.
  5. The author looks EXACTLY like someone I know who has absolutely no interest in sport. Weird. it's nice to know that some are starting to pick up the scent. A Giants v Demons GF in a few years doesn't take a vivid imagination. Okay, maybe a little vivid...
  6. Great stuff Andy. A wise investment decision
  7. Are they not allowed some time for adjustment like the others? Yes they are seasoned defenders but a new way of defending/protecting space would be a learning curve for everyone would it not? I'd be hugely hesitant to trade two senior, key position players in one hit considering how young and inexperienced we are as it stands. Pending on who they were being replaced with. I'm not sure what Garlo did that was so poor on the weekend for the record, other than the bizarrely errant handball. Wright was reasonably well held.
  8. Not his style and at this point you'd say it never will be. He does give the appearance of playing a bit of a mentoring role for Petracca though, which I've found interesting. Evidence being the images of his arm around Trac at training after he was told he wouldn't be debuting, Col being the first one Trac celebrated with in the circle after the match etc. His leadership style may just be less obvious than others.
  9. Brown threw out the figure of $1m a season for Melbourne to keep him. Healy hosed it all down saying he won't leave and Brown basically agreed.
  10. Fantastic achievement to get a nod this early in the season,
  11. I didn't watch Dogs v Crows but I read that it was Libba who was successful in nullifying Sloane? Quite likely either he or Wallis will get the job on Viney. I'm just as concerned about what happens at the other end. Gold Coast scored 8 times from their first 12 entries. Kicking 160 points was fantastic but when the Suns weren't depleted on the bench, we were once again scored against a little too easily. Granted mistakes like Garland's handball didn't help. Vital that we get the right mix of talls and smalls as a starting point.
  12. I would disagree that his form has been solid. It's been anything but. Defensively especially, he still appears to have a tonne of work to do. Ultimately if he's fit I'd lean towards having him in over Michie because of the class factor. I just don't think it's as simple a decision at was being presented. He's still a fairly young player himself. t wouldn't be upset if Viv was given another crack.

  14. If Viney is out then SURELY ANB gets his chance. He hasn't just bashed the door down. He's bashed it down, danced on it, then set it on fire and smeared the ashes in Roosy's face.
  15. Frosty in defence. Finally. I could really get used to battering sides like this.
  16. I'll play devils advocate and say that on the form he was showing, Salem wouldn't be an automatic in. He was nothing short of awful against the Saints prior to his injury, and I say that as a fan. He may slot straight back in but I thought Michie grew into the game and would be stiff to make way after getting just one opportunity.
  17. 6. Jones 5. Gawn 4. Bugg 3. Jetta 2. Harmes 1. Viney HM for Oliver, Pedo and Trac while Wagner and Hunt bounced back well.
  18. Statement win. Genuinely can't remember the last one like it. Beating up on GWS and GC in their first years doesn't count so you have to go back a very long way. Jones and Viney leading the way with Clarry and Petracca staring in a supporting role. Pedomyths excellent with pressure and conversion. Jeffy on fire. Wagner settling very nicely. Gawn dominant. Harmes best game of his short career. So many positives.
  19. Better tone down the celebration though. Can't upset the sadsacks.
  20. Brown has been pumping us up all game..lol. Buy a membership Browny. You know you want to.
  21. Sit back and admire the Viv show my friend. (Hopefully...)
  22. That's good news for us. Oliver and Michie will excel in the wet.
  23. Another Thursday night of head scratching. That backline. Wow. I don't mind the ins though. ANB is stiff but I'd back him to smash it again in the seconds this week. He won't toss it in.
  24. Oh dear. I hope he doesn't cop a ban. Anything but that.
