  1. Stop getting worked up and look at this situation calmly. I have no responsibility in this, so there is none to shift. The girl is a minor. She is a child and obviously is getting poor or no guidance from her parents. A lot of the blame should fall on them.
  2. She's a child and she is lost. I completely blame her parents - where the hell are they when all this is going on?
  3. A good summation of the whole mess. Was about to post this link myself.
  4. I'd forfeit the victory games. A-League is almost as poor as the NBL.
  5. Have you ever used a digital camera? Usually you'll take a photo or 2 that the subjects say "no that one was horrible - delete it" Doesn't always happen straight away and you take a bunch more and forget. When uploading to your laptop, usually you just select all of them rather than selecting indidvidual photos. SG is in the wrong here, but I can understand how it could easily happen. The girl clearly has a few screws loose and there was intent there even before any "wrong-doing" untowards her, as they must have been on amicable terms for SG to allow her to use his laptop.
  6. Wouldn't that preclude the use of an obscure song from an off-beat cartoon from 15 years ago? I enjoyed it, but my warped memory thought they had purposely changed the tune to avoid copyright issues, but it is identical. That's why Bailey's voice changes & goes all weird at one stage. Any light you could shed on this chopper..?
  7. technically incorrect. I'm sure he makes a small contribution by attending games.
  8. I think it would hard to know. He won't likely have a folder marked "nude/embarrassing photos". More likely he'd have albums of trips & events and within those certain photos would be... risqué. The girl would go through and copy the ones worth using, or copied them all & gone through them later. It all depends on what she deems to be a dodgy enough photo to release to be of any public interest. I'm guessing she has used her big guns and the follow-ups, if there are any, will be more the ilk of guys running around tackling each other in their jocks. Gradually less severe.
  9. I'm not exactly going to miss him. And we move on...
  10. He's going to Richmond though, isn't he? Surely it's a done deal...
  11. Assuming he wants to stay in Adelaide. And I find it inconceivable that he would.
  12. My favourite KPP so far. I'd take him with pick 12 if he was still there, obviously depending on who else is left on the board.
  13. His stock will have plummetted. Someone will get him cheap and it's a gamble that I think will pay off.
  14. From what I've seen of him, I really think his pace off the mark will hurt him at AFL level. He's a big lad too at TAC cup level and it concerns me that he won't be when he makes the next step. I thought the same of Hurley too though, to be honest. I just really think he'll be good in his first few seasons until people realise he's not going to get much better and he'll be another Jason Cloke. Not a fan.
  15. Agree with that. Aussie is good enough. The other haven't shown anywhere near enough yet to know.
  16. No, the four 17 years olds are to be taken by clubs other than GWS. GWS themselves are able to pre-select 12 x 17 year olds like the GC Suns did LAST year (Keath, Matera, Weller, Russell, etc.) BUT GWS18 will be doing that THIS year, so that rules JV out as he is not yet 17. The picks to be on-traded to OTHER clubs for 17 year olds are for NEXT year. And this is not set in stone as the rules haven't been signed off by the AFL yet anyway. ... Why does the AFL make this all so confusing?
  17. Yep, good article by Mark Stevens, who I think is an ordinary journalist. (Anyone hear him criticizing female umpires on the radio a few weeks back? he has some rare opinions...) I'm convinced they must read Demonland down at HeraldSun HQ
  18. I agree 100%. This is a media award and who should have won is irrelevant to the final result.
  19. I do agree with you. ...and I have spent the past season trying to figure this out. He does gain a lot of metres with the football and is often a couple of links in the chain. He covers a LOT of ground and gets to a lot of contests. He carries the ball and can break the lines. Offers leadership, whether it is obvious to supporters or not. Can tag a bloke like Hodge or Johnson or Hird. Kicks, while not as good as they should be, still often result in at least a 50/50 (he makes it appear that it wasn't necessarily his fault that it didn't come off). I imagine he follows the instructions of the coach to the letter and does a lot of thankless things that we don't notice. Handballs to teammates' feet have become less prominent.
  20. And the B&F was unusually late last year.
  21. I got the impression he was coming out of contract. If so, I'd expect them to retain him in some rookie capacity, for his own well-being. I don't think the club could afford the appearance of just off-loading the son of a club champion when he is in such need of help. (in fact, I think his surname has little to do with it.) I think Dermot Brereton has declared his hand with the article he wrote yesterday about Tuck.
  22. I think he is. But the whole situation would change if we could somehow trade Jones to China...
  23. Great. Brilliant way you just put the kybosh on us. Now it's only a matter of time...
  24. Port traded Burgoyne for pick 9 and 16, I believe. I see what you're saying, but I don't think it would be good for morale. In fact, it'd be downright disasterous.
  25. There we go, didn't notice that bit. Ta.
