  1. I've said before that I think Moloney may only have a couple more years left in him. I think the young talent will quickly overtake him once they fill out enough to do the bullocking work.
  2. Finals? I don't expect it, ie. the season won't be a failure if we don't (provided we still show improvement in key areas), but I think we will, certainly. We have a chance to be top 6, in my opinion. A lot can go wrong over the course of a season, however...
  3. Even if he is guilty, it's a fairly small issue in my opinion. It's not like it was the night before a game - the bloke was out having a drink for new years. In my experience, drunk blokes his size attract a lot of attention from the cops, not always fairly.
  4. Not a chance. At least one of those will be injured.
  5. Tapscott will take a bit more time to build his running capacity to the required standard I think. He'll find it hard to break into this side until he does.
  6. My team come round 23 2011, will look like this: B: Bartram Frawley Rivers HB: Grimes Garland Morton C: Blease Trengove Davey HF: Dunn Watts Sylvia F: Jurrah Green Wonaeamirri R: Jamar Moloney Scully Int: Bennell Gysberts Campbell Sub: Bail Emg (from): McKenzie Bate Strauss Tapscott MacDonald Jones Spencer Howe Jetta Petterd Warnock Some blokes on that interchange list that will be very stiff not to get a game. Very hard to pick, but that's what makes it all so damn exciting.
  7. Also, don't kid yourself that we are that underrated and flying under the radar - in the latest Herald Sun poll we are clearly leading the votes on who will be the big improved in 2011. It does induce a bit head scratching when you see that Essendon is sitting second on the list. Not sure where people think their improvement is going to come from.
  8. Mildly annoyed at the promise that memberships would come before xmas, & despite signing up in early November there's still no sight of it. Personally it doesnt really affect me as it wasn't a present. But the club can't be making promises like that & not keep them. It's worse than not being able to make the promise in the first place.
  9. No, the Lions players just went on ridiculously back-ended contracts that have crippled the club since then.
  10. No different to a brief scouting report. Not an issue. Other clubs do their own homework rather than taking our word for it
  11. The thread topic is a bit far-fetched anyway. Jamar doesn't play much like Neitz.
  12. That's assuming RC is any good up forward. I can't recall ever having seen him play up forward.
  13. Doesn't bear to think about. The cards would've fallen differently and we likely would have not ended up with Grimes. Instead we may have taken someone like Brad Ebert, David Myers or Veszpremi.
  14. Pretty sure I remember e25 quoting himself as having wanted Robert Campbell in the PSD a few months earlier than that draft itself, so he must like RC as a player. Personally I'm not sure about Jamar permanently up forward and I'm not even sure FF is really a weakness for us to the extent we'd want to take an AA ruckman out of the ruck. When did Jamar kick 6 against Hawthorn? I thought his highest number of goals in a match was 5 against Carlton at the tail end of 2009.
  15. Can you just leave it there? None of this is necessary. & John, if Garland ever plays on a wing, I will come to training with you.
  16. I just like the number 8, for apparently-not-quite-so obvious reasons.
  17. Did you happen to notice, when looking up the dictionary in a vain attempt to make it look like you know what you're talking about, that "looser" is not even a noun? It's an adjective or an adverb at most. Arguments like this make you appear to have the intellectual and emotional maturity of an 8 year old. Please try to stick to the topic instead.
  18. I've never come across someone so so wrong all the time, yet so blindly hypocritical! I am a bit surprised by rpfc's reaction though. Seems to be nearing the end of his tether. I guess it's the result of striving to have an intelligent conversation that is continually hi-jacked by idiotic little issues of the few. The funniest part is being accused of not letting anyone else have an opinion when all you've done is voice your own opinion. You can't teach that.
  19. jayceebee delivers with a late comedic Christmas present for all 'landers! Thanks john.
  20. I respectfully decline to be involved in such a silly argument. Carry on. Edit: Furthermore, no tangible disrespect was intended towards hrob. Just friendly banter in reply to his jocular assertion that I was Cale's dad.
  21. Aren't I allowed to have an opinion? My opinion is that your opinion is ill-considered and you are contradicting yourself. It's clear the specs of players listed on the MFC website are not updated regularly and therefore unreliable. I know you like an argument, but this is a bit ridiculous. Garland on Gherig would not be an issue like some are trying to portray. Gherig may be stronger and be able to stand his ground, but Garland has wiry strength and would not get rag-dolled. He's agile enough to get around and then use his excellent reach to punch the ball away. It's a similar circumstance when he has played on Fev in recent times.
  22. How can you possibly ask someone to get their facts straight, then in the same breath explain that the facts are not readily available? If the MFC website listed height & weight are obsolete, surely it is possible that he is correct. By my judgement, Garland is only marginally shorter than Frawley, while Morton is the tallest of the 3. Height isn't everything. All 3 are at least as tall as Fevola.
  23. That is terrible justification. We'll ignore that even if Garland is capable of playing on a wing, he is hardly one of the best wingmen on the list. We have ridiculous amounts of promising young talented mids/wingers and a handful of excess solid KPD. Your solution is to shift our 2nd best KPD to a wing so we can fit more good ordinary defenders into our side at the expense of young could-be-anythings... Crazy.
