  1. When we were doing those asnnoying handballs it was flashbacks to Dean Baileys plan. We know it isnt neelds thing and it was just the pressure Richmond put on us, Mark summed it up when he compared our errors to auskick stuff.
  2. I will be shattered if we decide not to get Jack with pick 3. yes ok we will miss out on a 17 year old who could be a gun but we could also get another morton, Mclean or sylvia who yes is good but not consistent. Why wait for a player to take years to show potential when we know Jack is ready. he is tough, hard at the ball and is a great player. We already know what we will get. He would be a player that Neeld would love to coach. Imagine a centre square line up of Jones, Moloney if he stays and Viney. We would be crazy if we let him slip and I reckon his dad would be pretty cheesed off as well. Look at our recruiting in the past, it hasnt been great. Jack is settled into the club. I say just get him. He would be a great father/son pick up better than the last one. Ive been waiting for one of these past players that was a superstar to have a son want to play for this club. Look at geelong, abblett, scarlett and hawkins. JAck Viney would be ready round 1.
  3. I was relieved. It just would have been a diaster if we lost. But it was so nice in the last half just to sit there and watch us play knowing we had won. But it was also good to thrash a teamI loved the torps especially the 1st one that went straight to rivers. Sylvia was great and if did that every week then he would be so exciting. Loved Bates game, always been a fan and just love his long kicking. I agree, I loved how Neeld had the guts to go with Rivers down foward again. He always reads the ball well down back and is a great mark so him going foward is fantastic. Frawley and McDonald can handle themselves as well as watts. Even Dunn down back was good. Mitch Clark just keeps silencing his critics. Its a shame he got injured. His pack marking is brilliant and his kicking has improved so much.
  4. Also if Davey cant get back into some sort of good form this week then he is in serious trouble. Bottom line is we must win or its another week from hell from the media and Mark Neeld doesnt need another week of crap.
  5. Blease also injured himself in the essendon game so maybe he still has some effects from that. But happy to see Bate back. Scully will be shattered, he wont have his mate out there to hug after the game.
  6. Does anyone know if Schwartz went to Jimmys funeral? Im sure he will be welcome at the club. I thought he would had been back with Jimmy as president but I guess Jimmy also had other htings to worry about. I hope he does come back some day and be welcomed back. He was great to watch and I was shattered when he retired. But im glad his life has turned out great for him now.
  7. From the sounds of Jon Ralphs tweet I think scully is facing the media today to get it out of the way. Cant wait to hear what he has to say,
  8. There are 3 main reason why we have to win. For neeldy in the way if we lose its another week of melbourne, neeld and player bashing by the media To actually show we can play good football Because I dont want scully and his mate sheeds walking off the field grinning I agree though I hope no one boos James McDonald. We stupidly got rid of him and he didnt leave us and he could have been all bitter and slagged us off but he didnt. But Id would have loved to see tappscott sit Scully on his arse but I hope Magner can do it. Nothing crude but just a fair hip and shoulder. I think Scully will be building himself up for this. I can just imagaine sheeds talking to the suns this week saying they arent that great and we can easily best them. This is the game I fear the most. There midfeild is quick and there foward line is strong. I just hope our experience gets us through.
  9. No way would I want Arocca. He looks like a scary man but my thing is last time we played nth in r1 he and some others sat behind me in the members and he was horrible. He winged and complained and bagged us for the music we had playing pre game, he abused the umpires, kept yelling out to the nth blokes to hit our boys and I remember thinking im sure no other CEO sits there and carries on like an idiot. Yeah he was passionate but as a CEO i just expected better behaviour.
  10. MAybe he didnt want to get sprayed with the powerade. But im sure he will get in the circle at some stage.
  11. I think its wednesdays that David King is on SEN after 7:30am. Everyone should text or call in and ask him does he still think our square peg coach still cant coach.
  12. Neeld was on mmm before the game and I missed it and will podcast it but they were saying afterwards how positive he was and they hit him with the hard questions but he turned every question into a positive and Trengove said after the game Mark was just positive through the week so I guess if the players pick up on this and start to believe him and his plan. Im just rapt for him.
  13. Forgot to add so happy with Rivers and his season. He is one that hasnt sooked about getting ditched out of the leadership group and the other good thing was we didnt rely on Clark as much tonight. Im just super happy for Neeld and the weight lifted from his shoulders.
  14. This is the image I was looking for. Love it.
  15. I read on twitter that neeld went back and looked at all the players draft reports. This is how much homework this guy does. So I think he got the Garland idea there. Trengove said after the game his family had been away for the week so it gave him maybe to much time to think about moving Garland foward. He did well foward and I desperately wanted him to kick that last goal. If he can improve his kicking we should play him there more often. If you told me before the game we wopuld win and Col would be our leading goalkicker I would have laughed. So happy for Watss. I reckon he has found his niche down in the backline. Yes I know I didnt want him kicking out but he thinks his way through things. Im sorry for abusing Tom McDonald when twice he thought he would take on the essendon player and got tackled. But he was great on Hurley. keeping him goaless. I think beamer was in the presser because Trengove and Grimes were being interviewed on 3aw and mmm. They both each appeared on the stations. Im rapt that Sylvia bustled his way through the pack and kicked the goal and so happy that Trengove had a good game. Im still so excited and cant sleep so have no idea who the club is going. Looking foward to the positive press this week.
  16. I reckon it was genius of him to coach the last quarter on the bench and I reckon he just would have been encouraging them all the time. I looked down and he actually had to hold the players back so they wouldnt run on the ground before the siren went. I watched the end bit at home and just the emotion of him chucking down the headphones and hugging the 4 interchange players then running to the rooms. I thought he may have actually ran out onto the ground with the players but instead he wanted to share it with his assistant coaches and others. Loved how all the support staff got around him and I reckon he should have been in the middle of the circle but I guess he thought it was the players moment. he has just had a huge weight lifted from his shoulders and he will sleep very well. Also loved how Don McLardy just went up and gave him a huge hug. Hope it can continue.

  18. I was at the vic market today and the fruitman I go to was bantering with a carlton supporter and saying how we have 3 easy games and will be premiership favourites. How sweet it is. I agree I hate essendon more than collingwood and I am just super stoked.I In all fairness I dont think Caro has said to much about us. I found what King, Sheehan and even Shaw yesterday worse and anyone else. After the game I walked past Mike Sheehan and so wanted to say to him so how about the win makes your article look pathetic but I didnt.
  19. They just said on ch7 sport Frawley is out of tomorrows game. So Joel MacDonald is going to have to step up big time. This is a huge loss especially with Essendons powerful foward line. Im assuming Sellar would come in ahead of Bate and Bennell. I do not want to see watts kick in after last weeks effort. Our midfeild will have to step up another gear and stop the ball from getting down there easily.
  20. If thats the bench make up then either Dunn or Sylvia should be sub. We need Blease for his pace against there midfeild and Nicholson did well last week, Who should Mckenzie tag. Watson or Stanton?
  21. SECOND-year rookie Daniel Nicholson has been elevated to the primary list for injured ruckman Max Gawn, who has been placed on the long-term injury list. Nicholson, who played nine matches in his debut season last year, has been selected in the initial squad against Carlton at the MCG on Sunday. He has been named on the seven-man bench. It will be Nicholson’s first match this season, after he missed the opening two rounds with a foot injury, before returning to the VFL. The 21-year-old made his debut against the Blues in round 10 last year. Nicholson was drafted at No.14 in NAB AFL Rookie Draft, held in December 2010. Gawn, who suffered a knee injury last December, will be sidelined for the rest of 2012. I miss Max this year. He became a bit of a cult figure last year and would be in the team I reckon.
  22. Well I hope this game isnt bruise free football like last year. I remember Neeld on radio weeks ago that Couch is 6 weeks into his AFL career. I guess they just dont want to shove him in there and want to ease him in. I like to see him play but I think he will get his chance at some stage.
  23. Melbourne team B: James Frawley, Jared Rivers, Clint Bartram HB: Jack Grimes, Colin Garland, Tom McDonald C: Rohan Bail, Brent Moloney, Sam Blease HF: Jack Trengove, Jack Watts, Brad Green F: Jeremy Howe, Mitch Clark, James Sellar FOLL: Mark Jamar, Lynden Dunn, Nathan Jones I/C (from): Jamie Bennell, Jordie McKenzie, Daniel Nicholson, Joel Macdonald, Luke Tapscott, Troy Davis, James Magner IN: Macdonald, Bail, Sellar, Dunn, Tapscott, Davis, Nicholson OUT: Liam Jurrah (ankle), Aaron Davey, Colin Sylvia, Cale Morton NEW: Troy Davis (Kerang/Geelong Grammar/Geelong U18s) Well Neeld hasnt taken any crap this week. Morton I thought may be harsh but I think him getting subbed off last week didnt help and also that weak handball he did after Howe took that scramer. Davey I get has done nothing and was poor last week and Sylvia deserved to be dropped for just having a joke after the game with the swans player .Still scratching my head how he was a number 3 pick. Id still prefer Pettard over Dunn.
