I knew Watts was going to be dropped as soon as he was the sub. Why be mad. The guy has had a bad 2 weeks and its for his own good. Remember this is his 5th season. He needs to lift. Also it will get the media off his back though it will be back on the club for dropping him. Blease is one I just dont get. I love his pace but his ball use is shocking. Rodan either play him or dont. Dont drop him every second week. Pedersen will be a different player I reckon. No more dropping the head. Rapt to see evans back

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
dees189227 replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hird wont go. He will deny it. As someone said on SEN we all thought Lance was clear. Plus everyone thinks the sunshine out of him. He is a protected species. Caro didnt even write the story on the front page and its also in the herald sun. yet all I heard this morning is people bagging her. I guess she is an easy target. But my thought is why would Dank say this. Yes he may be bitter but Hird could take further action on this so why risk it. Maybe Hird didn't realise what he was being given. -
Sylvia will walk at the end of the year. Although then he may be at the club that wont let him coast through, Watts well his talent is there we just dont see it. I agree with what Neeld said. Watts was virtually set up to fail as a number 1 pick in the way we dragged him out against collingwood and put all this hype around him. The thing is with Jack I think he thinks he can just coast thought on but he is in his 5th season and I thought we would have seen a little more form him. Outsiders say for the sake of his mind get him out of there.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I guess they are just reporting that Stephen Dank said he injected him with this stuff. Dont shoot the messenger. Its no different to the age reporting comments from ex players and officials who said we set out to lose games. Its because its James Hird and he is the golden boy. You know what I woke up today put the radio on and they were not talking about us. Caro has taken the focus off us. Thankyou. -
If the club listened to us supporters in bringing down Schwab then if we tell them we want bugle boy banned do you thnk they will stop that as well.

Maybe he feels like he owes the club after all his gambling issues and what he put the club and his teammates through. I love the Ox. If he can help in anyway then that is great.

I was thinking after sat night the club should just get away with the team for some bonding. But of course the media were going to find out where we were. Nothings a secret these days. Neeldy looked funny tonight on the news int he sense he was wearing normal clothes. Loved how he said dont put that mike near me. I guess he will be speaking friday. Who would want to be a senior coach.

We now need to hire someone that isnt a melbourne person, doesnt have mates at the club and he can be from another sport. We just need someone new and fresh. Don at least could have had a tie on. You can tell the last few weeks have been dragging him down and lets face it he probably didnt want to be president but sadly circumstances forced him to be. Finally Schwab admits the club handled James McDonald wrong and should have kept him. Well duh

Keep Toumpas in there. He will be better off for the run. He is the future and cant expect him to walk in and play like Viney does. Pederson I would have kept. I know he did the drop the head but he was actually ok. Even if we used him as a sub. Rodan I thought was harsh however with Trengove coming back I get the move. Rapt to see Tom back. He just makes the backline look better. Glad to see Blease in the 18. The thing is on paper our team looks pretty good.

"Culture" & Watts' post match press conference
dees189227 replied to frankie_d's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wayne Carey on mmm "They dress like AFL footballers, look like AFL footballers, but don't play anything like one. I've never been as disappointed in a team." I think he summed it up well. -
"Culture" & Watts' post match press conference

Speaking of blazers Trengove was on mmm pre game and was wearing his blazer because they all said to him how he looked like a school boy. -
Hey wernt each team meant to run out to a song. Remember a few months ago melbourne asked what song we should run out to. What happened to that. Maybe the AFL thought it was a silly idea. By the way does anyone know if we pay him. If we do then its a disgrace.
-
Apparently they are having a bet on who can grow the longest or best beard. Something like that and its for $50. As Wayne Carey said instead of having stupid bets maybe focus on training and what you are meant to be doing game day.

Sheedy has said we would have said no to the job if he was offered it. So that argument doesnt work. But with our kick outs its so obvious we kick it to the ruckman near the boundary. Lynden Dunn has a booming kick. It would be nice if some went down the middle. In the nab cup some came off beautifully.

I thought I saw Jims dad there. Geez he must be thinking my son did so much for this club and it really is crap.

I just watched the news and saw a set of parents thanking the public for there thoughts and condolences for there death of there only two children who died when that wall collapsed at RMIT. They were heading off to the Carlton/ Richmond game when they were just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. Now I went to the game today, yes im [censored] off I forked out money for a membership and yes the way my footy team played disgusted me but know one died, Im just pointing out thats its a football game and not the end of the world or a life.

Deserving to, we are going to cop it all this week. Thankfully I dont have pay tv so I will miss what Roos has to say, Sheehan and of course healy. Then there are the rest of them. We will be on the back pages and in the news. Venom Denham will have a field day with this.

Jacqui Reed @JacquiReedAFL23m Of all people, it was debutant Jack Viney who addressed the group in the rooms. Says plenty about him, not a lot about others Really I hope he didn't hold back. Maybe he told them I wish my dad played for a better club.
-
Maybe instead of having a who can grow the longest beard contest competition they could actually focus on training and what needs to be done on game day.

Seeing as they use the same facilities our players can learn a lot from the storm. They are a professional team who train hard, work hard and just know how to win. They never slack off and if they get a new recruit and they get out of line they are pulled straight back in. If our players can be like Cooper Cronk who in the off season takes himself off to Arizona with the lions and pays his own way to develop his fitness further and it has worked then they would be so much better. Some of those players today just look happy just to rock up and take the pay cheque. Im just saying they could learn a lot form a team that has had success. They are doing something right. .
-
Can we sneak Hogan in. Geez I cant wait until he plays. I wouldn't make to many changes and Id make most of those players play again for punishment and make them play to earn there spot. See if they can learn.

Listening to mmm at the game Hamish said he knew for a fact that essendon were watching from there coterie box today as we play them next week.
