  1. Very good footballer and only going to get better. Snap him up, if available,
  2. Nanny state meddlers. Get used to only seeing your team train in their team colours because when in competition they will be playing in high visibility vests.
  3. Jnr. You make an interesting point in regard to the lack of foot support from current footwear. It is still referred to as a boot but is more like a lace-up slipper that an athletics sprinter might wear. It would be interesting to hear a professional opinion from the podiatrists and physio's on the list.
  4. Max has a lot of potential but as a big man probably won't hit his straps until around the age of 25. Nonetheless, he is very good below the knees and can kick a goal.
  5. Should history rhyme then one of the Adelaide clubs, especially Adelaide would be very keen to get hold of Aish and keep him in the State. This puts us in a good trading position.
  6. The Dees are more or less in the hands of the receivers. These guys don't make irrational decisions. They will look at the bottom line and see what needs to be done to restore a once great club. It is in everyone's interest to have the Melb F. C. up and running on all cylinders. We carry the name Melbourne. It is the city that is the home of the AFL which has at it's centre the Melbourne Cricket Ground. If a priority pick is part of the receivers toolkit then it will be given.
  7. What is banned is a mute point. Essendon will fight it out in the courts. Good on them.. (There is a lesson here for Melbourne.) I hope Essendon and Watson win despite my presence at the ignominious 2000 grand final humiliation.
  8. Beware Central Planners. Beware AFL. Snoopers swooping.
  9. The power of the AFL is a fanciful conception. This power rests on it never being challenged.
  10. The Board needs to send out a message. We protect our own. We will go to the wall. The players in our team will be watching.
  11. I agree Longsuffering.. We should have taken the AFL to court and slapped them down uncerimoniously. We wouldn't be victimised the second time.
  12. If only the drop kick was as easy as the instuctions inside the back cover. In order the Dees are: Barry Bourke. Brian Dixon. Tassie Johnson. Hassa Mann. Barassi is there at number two but he's in a dark blue top with some white scribble on the front - Carlton.
  13. The Dees need to be the hardest team to play against both on and off the field. The time to harden up is long overdue.
  14. It's not music but noise pollution. If it was a work type situation then Work Place Health and Safety would outlaw the volume of noise pollution at the MCG. I went to the first game at the 'G last year and after the assault from the noise I have not returned nor will I until such time that the noise volume and intensity has been reduced. Does the AFL think that silence is maddening?
  15. The best thing the AFL could do is bury this investigation, quick and smart. Can you just imagine a ruthless QC calling witnesses from other clubs?
  16. You can be super fit and able to win the hard ball but what use is it if your disposal is second rate.
  17. Watched the game on telly. I like the look of Williams who is a good mover and can kick a ball. He has a future with us, I think.
  18. Hurley is to Lockett as Watts is to G Lyon with one year in age between the both.
  19. Goal umpires dressed in white lab. coats. Stab passes.
  20. Smart comment D'cutter. Sometimes the words get in the way.
  21. Hardtrack @#21. No captain is a good idea. Natural born leaders will emerge on the field anyway. But Trengrove as spokesman
  22. Hopefully the new coach and team can bring out the potential of "Aussie", Bennell, Jetta and Lawrence. It's an exciting prospect to have these guys in the team.
  23. Malthouse has been much admired by the clubs he's coached. He's a good man and good luck to him. Malthouse would like to see the Dees succeed under his protege Neeld.
