Maynard must get at least four weeks
Deefender replied to leave it to deever's topic in Melbourne Demons
It appears to me that Maynard took no evasive action that would lessen the impact of an imminent airborne collision. The AFL must give the appropriate penalty and show they have low tolerance for reckless events leading to concussion. Six weeks out would be a moderate penalty. -
Goody happy with Tom McDonald’s return. The timing is good. We need him.

Collingwood’s strong last quarters were viewed as a positive throughout the season. But it’s less than ideal to be habitually behind at 3/4 time. They won’t want to come that caper with us.

What They Are Saying at Victoria Park: QF 1
Deefender replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Go to Extreme Black n White bulletin board - https://www.magpies.net/forums/hotrod/ One subject is the wet weather. The poster thinks this will be to our advantage. Funny. At the moment, Sunday evening the forecast is from a computer. Dare I say it, some of the contributors are knowledgeable. -
Why would other teams fear the Demons in September when last year they went out in straight sets. Pathetic.

You have to ask the question.

Will Verrall, pick 14 2022, shows promising potential. I trust Jason Taylor in finding a ruckman to replace/assist Max.

Yze might be better placed to bide his time at the Dees rather than coach interstate or coach ‘no hopers.’

Burgess is being praised for having the Crows in peak condition. Does his methods allow for any goal kicking?
-
Port Adelaide showed arrogance and disrespect by dropping seven players in their match with Carlton. They might find that their previous good form is not so easy to switch back on. I hope Carlton gives them a hiding. Furthermore they deserve to be punished for imposing that dreadful dirge about being alone.

No need for Brown in that forward line.
-
He’s not the combative beast like JVR but he only has to complement such leaders, not compete with them. He’s skilful, aged ~ 26 and for a big man it’s about his time. He couldn’t do any worse than Smith and Brown. I’d give him a decent chance of proving himself. Fritsche is out for weeks and Schache can kick a goal.

Schache down the front would straighten us up.

Unseasonably cold this Sunday in Alice Springs with temperatures ranging from a 1 degree minimum to a max of 11 degrees with some chance of rain.

They should update to the A 10 Warthog. It is a superior fighter/scrapper.
-
No doubt the four points count. But there’s more to be gained by beating Collingwood when they’re at full strength.
-
Hawthorn may might not have the money. Probably better to sue the wealthy AFL.

Sometimes offence is taken when none was given.

Brad Green issue is a distraction.

” to serve is to govern.” Choco is invaluable to the club.

AFL Pushing for Players to be Traded Against Their Will
Deefender replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
Easy. Call their bluff. -
Schache is going to surprise some people with his capabilities. He’s a good recruit for us.

Your Top 5 Demons Players of All Time
Deefender replied to Craig Drinker's topic in Melbourne Demons
Schwarz and Stynes. -
I read that Schache is 200cm and turned 25 in August. Big men take longer to hit their potential. Schache will be good for us.

The AFL is a powerful collective. Melbourne won’t be ripped off by a rogue competitor. That competitor will be ‘leaned on.’
