  1. Have a look at the photo of all the players smiling at Jeff. It says it all. Great stuff. https://titusoreily.com/afl/monday-knee-jerk-reaction-afl-round-eight-1
  2. Move along quietly folks. Nothing to see here. He wasn't blowing flames out of a chillum.
  3. Smith is good alright. He keeps his feet, can kick a goal. Will prosper at Dees, live wire.
  4. Just quietly, that Tim Smith reminds me of Jakovich. Would be a good foil for Hoges.
  5. Snake Simmonds is another we got rid of. Repeat: Persevere with Max King.
  6. I refer to Max King. The Dee's will be rewarded if they are patient with this big man.
  7. Melbourne has a sorry history of not hanging onto ruckmen who go on to play well at other clubs. The Dee's will rue the day they get rid of Max. Do not consider it.
  8. Fast. Or slow like Greg Williams? Spatial perception gives some players time. This is why the likes of Jack are elite.
  9. Good comment binman about the booing/confidence. I'd like to see a break-out game from Jack. He's capable of it. (Remember the time chip Frawley used the after burners down the southern side of the "G". It was inspirational.) Queens Birthday would be a good time for Jack to turn it on.
  10. Jack's got pace. I'd like to see him use this gift more. And ProDee, you're a good sport .
  11. I think they used to say Diesel Williams was slow. Jack Trengove will be given every chance.
  12. I thought Roos comment about not putting pressure on young recruits was interesting. In fact it appeared they have their hopes up. Obviously all at the club are excited about the prospects of Petracca and rightly so. Let's hope his toe heals well and that Petracca does not lose his swagger.
  13. Barney. Thanks for the encouraging report on Max King. He's a big man who's going to hit his straps in time to come. The Club has to nurture him well. Can play.
  14. Before he was drafted Watts performed as one of the fastest prospects. He's got pace but we don't see it much. I'd like to see him tuck the ball under his arm and show us a turn of speed.
  15. Jack Watts may never be an inside midfielder but he's a beautiful finisher and in some ways a good competitor. Give him a break.
  16. Another country boy here Devil Inside. Thanks to you and the others for your reports. Particularly interested to hear a few words on Max King. I'm really hoping we hold onto him. Do you reckon he likes it playing forward? - can kick.
  17. Welcome Sam to the club. I think Axis of Bob is correct that has the makings of a good defender, maybe even freeing up another man (Garland?) for attack. I think pick # 23 is about right.
  18. Heritier has a football brain and he's competitive. A welcome addition to the Dees and will slot straight into the backline. Welcome aboard H.
  19. What's with all the pessimism? We might trade out of the situation profitably with all parties satisfied
  20. Perth is one of the world's most geographically isolated cities and some might like it that way. When I was young I headed for the bright lights and the big city. Perth would not have cut it. Some of the guys from SA and WA are happy to be in Vic and NSW. It's just not in their financial interest to say this out loud. And Saty. I too enjoy your training reports. Leaning against a gum tree is quintessentially Australian.
  21. I'd reckon 1987; they got the wind in their sails then. It can happen quickly.
  22. Paul Roos would play a good hand of poker.
  23. Jack Trengove comes back next year. He will make for a better side.
  24. Tell these nanny state meddlers where to go. Or we'll set the dogs on to you.
  25. Very good footballer and only going to get better. Snap him up, if available,
