  1. God I hope so. I am hoping we find out this week that it is hutchy speaking out of his you know what. Surely it can't be right...
  2. Totally agree. If it goes through I hope I am forced to eat my words (as are you) but I have a bad feeling we are paying over the odds if indeed this eventuates..
  3. Point is I wouldn't give our round two pick regardless of first round swap
  4. Say it isn't so. If it is for the mooted first round pick swap plus a second rounder, we have just made our first trading blunder in two seasons...
  5. "He shall appear on earth and his name shalt be liam". This is some bible verse and I have given the basic tranlation from ye olde english. Still kinda appropriate huh?!
  6. Exactly right. No one can begrudge him for moving employers but You don't sign a contract and then only a month later reneg unless something dramatic or unforseen happens. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out wellman.
  7. What I resent is the fact that he signed an extension but then a month later resigned. He musr of hedged his bets (based on hird appointment) to look after number one - himself. Regardless of impact on his current employer - mfc. Karma can be a [censored] wellman and I hope you enjoy the next five years at the bottom end of the ladder with essendon while we keep moving on up...
  8. Poor bugger not only is the nephew a collingwood supporter he is also from sa! Good luck in the hunt but there is buckleys of getting a ticket unless u cam afford a corporate one...
  9. Well watson Is playing full forward in tac cup grand final tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how he goes..
  10. Good positive comment there. I am sure with sarcasm like and supporter like you we will get all the kids supporting the dees (and yes I am also being sarcastic).
  11. I agree a nice to have rather than a need to have. That said, I would give up our third rounder for him.
  12. Don't worry the new demon breed def coming through. And they are keen as the club is so open, accessible and encouraging to young members these days. My four year old has already been to a number of things organised by the club, loves the dees and especially aaron davey!
  13. Wishful thinking I'm afraid. Swans would want more from that deal..
  14. I reckon gc will have a number of kpf so won't need him. He kicked four in an elimination final and one of rhe best player in tac cup, so he is finishing the season well. I reckon he is really shooting up the rankings and we might seriously look at him with pick 12.
  15. Spot on and besides us, gold coast and the tigers, the other young lists like north and freo still have their superstars at the top end of their careers. This will be freo and north problem cause in two or three years when their young guns start to get to their peaks guys like sandilands, pav etc will be past their prime. I'd rather be in our shoes in that none of our guns (except green) are at the top end of their careers.
  16. Don't forget also that as the picture becomes clearer over the next few years, we will need more than the starting six in the midfield. Bench and depth players also required to work in and out of midfield rotations. Beamer a required player for a number of years yet imo. Let's wait and see I guess
  17. Thanks for all your info relating to scorps this year kc. Kc or anyone else watching can u give us all a q time description?
  18. Agree. This one could be realistic. That way we could still get a KPF like cook or lynch in the draft as a first rounder.
  19. Tell him he's dreaming. No way will blues let henderson go.
  20. Could be an interesting dilemma here. Sure you can say bruce owes us, he has been on a big three year contract and needs to take a pay cut. But if he is offered big beans to finish his career elsewhere, what happens? Kinda different to a regular job, but surely u have to look after your future in this case. Not sure brucey will still be round when our window opens anyway..if he goes well played brucey a great player esp consideeing he was selected as a late pick from melb high
  21. Relax diablo, all in fun...u gotta admit jack trengove has to wipe that frown of your face
  22. Yeah and hord mcmahon the best player (n)ever to have played with the dees. Tanks for the memories jordie, u will be missed by the demons sorely...
  23. Disagree. A good young KPF who is only going to get better. Regardless, he will perhaps require us to give up too much to get him to the dees anyway
  24. Not the only one who though morton had a good game deezman. I was on the game day thread and couldn't believe the number of morton bashers. His kicking was a bit off radar, but he just knows how to get the ball and (most pleasingly) he has really worked on his defensive pressure and contensted games. That is why he was sent back to the twos. No wonder the FD was pleased with his game. He has shown that he is listening to the FD about the parts of his game and responding on game day. Well done young fella. Ps was anyone else imprrssed with some of his overhead marking? With his height, he may very well have the goofs to be moulded into a KPP.
  25. Garland also being smashed today. One of the few games all year that our backs have been pantsed
