  1. Watts for Shaw. Straight trade. Come at me haters.
  2. Being overpaid and living in Sydney also helps.
  3. Aus media really needs to start differentiating North Melbourne "Roos" and Paul "Roos", because sometimes I see "Roos" in a headline and get excited, only for it to be about North Melbourne, and then see an article from the same publication with "Roos" and it's about Melbourne *faceplam*
  4. I think that considering the disparity between 4th and 5th, and the depth of top-8 candidates going down to 10th and 11th, nothing's impossible. I'd say 2015 is a realistic expectations. But 2014 is stretching it. If the team isn't playing finals by 2016 then the club might be looking ant yet another regime change.
  5. Poor Melbourne, not get favourable media coverage even in light of outrageously inept business decisions. Damn you Barrett and your frustration at reward for ineptness!
  6. Ah yes, good ol' Jimmy provided a great bandaid solution -- like those before him -- in keeping Melbourne afloat for a few more seasons. His overseeing of Bailey, Schwab, 186 and beyond are indicative of a fantastic stint as club President... With all due respect, Jimmy was a fantastic man and servent of the club, but his legacy was and will remain the Schwab era of the Melbourne Football Club. Jackson and Roos are basically starting from scratch and have very little to salvage from the era before them. Let's get real. Jackson has been a far more important figure in 6 months than Stynes was in his time. Granted he demolished the 3-mill debt, but let's not thank Robin Hood for throwing money at a town but being unable to create a system that constructively uses the money to maintain sustainability. Best we forget the Stynes era. His hard work would have been forgotten and ridiculed if he were still alive considering the eventual path the club took. And yes, I think we'd still be in this position if he were still alive. 186 happened under his watch. Harsh truth.
  7. Our B&F winner is a midfielder. We have Viney and Toumpas. There is no lack of talent in our midfield. It lacks one piece imo. We should use both picks to trade for a star.
  8. Don't mind the club, players or coach, but I simply cannot stand Eagles fans. I always seem to have trouble with them at the MCG. Sometimes I have to remind them where they are.
  9. Positive on the club like Neeld was? And still is?
  10. They were games we should have won without them. Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda.
  11. The rebuild hasn't even begun yet. 2014 is going to be nasty.
  12. What the hell does this even mean? People saying a player shouldn't be drafted because they wouldn't fit into the "culture" have either been living under a rock, or grossly misinterpret the club's culture as it is.

  14. I wouldn't say Clark is a star. You can't just give the star ranking to a player so loosely. "Star" should be reserved for stalwarts of the sport, or especially successful players. Matthew Richardson was a star. He was a Richmond stalwart. Joel Selwood is a star. He's a champion. Mitch Clark is a very good player is a god awful side. Slow down with giving out "star" rankings to everyone. I thought we'd moved on from overrating our players?

  16. A family member attacked me because I liked his page. I had to reassure him I only liked the page for the LOLs. And many a LOL was had.
  17. Keep keep keep
  18. What a pathetic load of flogs you all are. "There's no doubt I love the club and I love the boys." He said that very clearly. It was very clear. He is unsure of his future. He's a 22-year-old with no success, looking down the barrell of another 3-4 years without playing finals. He wants to know that his employer is going to provide the environment necessary for him to thrive. He's 22 for crying out loud. Going by the tone in here I wouldn't blame him if he leaves. He's not leaving. He's just riding the wave and seeing what decisions the club has made moving forward. Ya'all would do the same if you were working at the worst organisation in your field, with no improvement in sight.
  19. I'll be leaving for Germany for work. Plane leaves at 2:55 so I should catch most of the first half if someone in the transit lounge is playing it.
  20. Is that you Mark Neeld?
  21. He does not want to leave GC. Players have to sign off on a trade.
  22. Terlich - Lost true grit Terlich has dropped off as McDonald, Garland, Clisby and Dunn have improved down back. He is starting to remind me more and more of an in-and-under Nathan Carroll with every passing week. Decent (at best) player in a bad team. Agree with
  23. He's gone. It felt like he was being banished/punished.
