  1. This might be worth it in place of Oscar. while we wait for May to come in. easing the running on TMc. Frost will be better with TMc helping. They should have tried Oscar forward for 10 minutes tonight, to see how he shaped ? too late now.
  2. Weide isn't doing anything wrong its the supply which is killing him. he needs to know where to expect to run to. he is being slaughtered by our mids going into f50. I heard on ch-7 tonight after game, that TMc had an injection in the ankle ? he was running flat, like he had no endurance or power in his run. Maybe this is why they were using him from the goal-square... and not up high. ... all our strengths of last year, are now our weaknesses.
  3. One more loss now, and we're toasted. We won't get the confidence back in time to do anything. It really feels like the gods are against us. The AFL dioidn't want to change things too quickly via reducing rotations furhter so they go and do a 666... they could not have hurt us in particular, if they planned it.
  4. Jones - tyre ring quickly Viney - cannot run anymore T. McDonald - cannot run anymore O.McDonald - scratching my head Jetta - under the pump Hibberd - under the pump Brayshaw - wastes the ball Gawn - gone backwards effectively Harmes - needs more help Oliver - needs more help Hunt - will never makeit Fritsch - playing without effect Petracca - tried but failed Lockhart - needs more help Salem - needs more help Melksham - needs more help Weideman - needs more help Kolodjashnij - under the pump C.Wagner - he worked hard J. Wagner - was he playing? Frost - a limited footballer Neal -Bullen - he worked hard
  5. Not working Now after the AFL introduced 666. An interesting turn of phrase... makes me wonder if Gil is a spiteful sort? maybe his serpent got loose again.
  6. Sadly, when doing it, we did it all wrong. Just amateurs at that time... when other clubs did it with aplomb, including the Blues, Hawks and Saints during the 2000's... not many clubs did not do it - (list manage), and some clubs did it last season, as well as past recent seasons. see blues, suns. we butchered it.
  7. Yeah, and the rest of the skin on his head, Navy Blue Tattoo...
  8. Thank you Robbo !!! He's just given us all the energy we needed, to fight like Hell on Friday night.
  9. So we're tipping the cats over there, then ? I see your expecting the Crows to turn on themselves again... cutting themselves in 2, once more ? for good times sake ? ?
  10. I think he'll be OK after some adjustment. He has spent his whole adult career in a looser club mentality. And has flourished as a player despite this. He will learn imo to raise his standards higher with us. just a long as others who are not in best condition are also made to do likewise. Set the standards Melbourne leaders. Jones'y... I'm looking in your elite fitness direction, matey.............. dee-man 'd their best
  11. Every heart beats true for the red and the blue, And we sing this song to you, Should old acquaintance be forgot, Keep your eye on the red and the blue... I believe these Lyrics, act as an Affirmation ... it think they aid in attracting a narrower type of personality type, who tend to lean more to being extremely sympathetic. Broadly, I think this is part of this clubs wider culture. And I think it allows us to be walked over, off-field, and also influences our team/players success... Via the way our supporters think and act. sympathetically, generously, and sometimes Too 'thoughtful' for our own good. Loyalty, Sympathy, and ...
  12. We were very clumsy early in the game at Geelong... because we were trying to be 'manic' with the footy... flipping it player to player. But our players were all corralled, so we were handling the ball unnecessarily, as the Cats waited outside us, trying to let us panic and lose the ball... which is exactly what happened. We were winning most of the inside contested footy at that stage, And so we needed to be more composed with its use. We should have shepherded, and blocked for the ball carrier, instead and multi-handling the ball, for no gains. Ideally we should have got a kick out or even back, to a loose player to take a mark, and then... we could have used the ball with thought. Directing it better to setup our entries. When we Demons play Anxiety brand footy, we lose. That's when we give the ball up easily and frequently... secret ingredient. composure Add to this, the lack of a settled structure down back... and it was Anxiety central. I think in Hindsight, if May did not come back early for this game. we would have played more within ourselves, and been more cautious with the footy. I think we went in, trying to dominate the Cats from first bounce... and it backfired on us big-time. Because were not ready to play slick like that. We are just not settled enough yet. This week we'll be much better.
  13. For chaos into attack... we need numbers forward. We didn't have that 'early', against the Cats. Chaos I think can still work, with the mongrel bomb, because it always did work. But we have to create from it... Or cause a stoppage in our front half. But we will need some sort of rolling Press to 'stop', they're counter attack.
  14. Sadly we (Mfc) are bearing the Image of the Mcc, in the footy world... but our people, Players, Staff, Off field, are nothing like Toffs... but still the club suffers from the Mcc 'Toff' image. Interestingly, the Mcc does not suffer from any awkward 'imagery', in it's Summertime sports. Cricket is seen as British. It's a footy thing... because 'footy' is the great leveler, within our community. And rightly so. 'footy' is seen as Aussie. So we are seen as almost Un-Aussie in a sense. We need to breakaway from this nexus, that is perceived as looking-down-on things 'Aussie'. This on its own is a major stumbling block, to us growing our base.
  15. We are, traditionally a very Sympathetic group of well wishing supporters. A great group of people, generous, to a fault.
  16. here is the problem... its a career of non fitness and largely non performance. When he did his knee before his first season... I thought, oh, he'll come back, and he'll be OK... No doubt about it He's a kid having fun. I thought Roosy was a but over the top lambasting him. I didn't equate it at that time, too a lack of Professional attitude, just youthful fun and enthusiasm. I suppose mine was a typical Mfc supporter attitude, to our potential stars. No, not so... we are all typically too easy on our players. At a time when the club was almost dead, and the AFL had to step in to help us... gifting us Top-Liners off-field, to get our act back together. As I said before, Tracca is now in his 5 th AFL season. Edit : He is following the worn pathways of Watts, Howe, and other talents... that simply didn't, or couldn't give their best Professional attitude, efforts and condition to this Footy club.
  17. If that's all he fancies, is the bright lights and big games... and he wants to take the lesser games Off. Then send him to AAMI stadium, there's bright lights aplenty over there with the Melbourne Storm, and see how he goes. I don't know, about 'Tonka'... I'm fearing the worst. .
  18. He's had 4 years in the AFL system. In this his 5th Year... and Pro-Rata, he's as heavy as Fev was at Carlton. We do not want to trade him... We want him to get fit and build his aerobic fitness levels to that, of at least that of an VFL midfielder. Would be a starting point. When do you reckon on him becoming a trimmed AFL footballer ? Let's stop making excuses for unfit players... and expect them to be fully Professional in attitude, and in shape.
  19. This ^ He tried to take a few overhead marks at the Cattery, and barely got off the ground. And the bigger opponent spoilt his attempts even with all that low centred weight. then with ball on ground he was ineffectual... a liability unless he's kicking 5 Gls a week. He doesn't defend well. Put him in the midfield Ffs. Even down at Casey. Run him into fitness. Barass would not have him back into the team, until he shed at least 5 Kgs.
  20. This is a good basketball'rs build, or amateur footballers. Or toned street build. So he shows a 6 pack , so what.. that isn't the sign of elite aerobic fitness And where are the sinews, to be seen. That suggest super low body fat. .
  21. Contention : Petracca is too heavy
  22. He's a better user of the body than chip is. And I think has better 'vision'. But is also more arrogant, and a sense of 'supreme' about him... This gets him into trouble. Via suspensions... he tests people, including Umps. He is a bit like Rod Grinter, in his belief of self and abilities.
  23. Fact Check.. Is fat the right word to use... Or perhaps 'Too Heavy' might be a better question, in the first place ?
  24. Hmmn, I agree, ' scsy'. needs that tank and to get stronger fitter. a better player than tracc, atmo. just off form. He supplies our other forwards, with his distribution skills. We are missing him, In-form. and Hannan.
  25. it was a Very bad hammy. He needs time to fully extend that leg and hammy, to test it properly, before he's selected... he's not ready yet or we will be doing another May.
