Absolute rubbish that tanking has instilled a losing culture in our team. Half the team has been replaced and we have had a new coach for two preseasons. However I do agree that confidence has huge impact on the mindset of a team but with so many new inclusions why is that not one of them could summon any semblance of team spirit and at least finish the game with passion rather the limp wristed effort they showed. My question is that are they so frightened of deviating from the coach's plan that there is no flair left. I would never question Jack Grimes as captain but why not get the team together in a group and stare each one down and ask for a lift before splitting up for the last quarter. I know Jack puts in 100% but I expect more from a captain. I want him to inspire his team to follow his lead. Maybe next week we should just leave it to JV. Hopefully Jack has humbled his team mates by his after game speech.

No we don't look the same we look worse.

Can anyone believe the down hill slide of Frawley. I know that he played injured for a lot of last year but today after a good preseason he looked slow and reactionary. Where is the AA Frawley gone. Hopefully Tommy Mcs return will assist.

Dont blame McLardy for this debacle. The results sits fairly on the FD and the players. I dont agree with you after Mitch kicked his goal everyone in the forward line ran up to him and the same with Jack Viney.

Can someone please tell me who were the commentators on 3AW. After the game there were comments like "well what you would you expect when a team was coached to lose and now the chickens were coming home to roost" and that the club was a train wreck. Melbourne hating media are going to have a field day sorry week having a shot at us. Unfortunately we probably deserve it but we dont deserve comments like what I heard from the gutless wonders on 3AW. At least SEN commentators from what I heard driving home were trying at least to be constructive.

No heart, no talent and soon no supporters.

MELBOURNE v PORT ADELAIDE - PREGAME
Longsufferingnomore replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I remember how we were all wondering what Neil Craig saw in Sellars last year. Well what we saw in the NAB (I know its only the NAB) goes a little way in justifying Craig's confidence in him. Hopefully Pederson will end up showing us what Neeld sees in him. If not he will be out at the year end. IMO, so far Gillies and Pederson have to show us more than what they have to justify keeping them on the list. Hopefully they are just taking a little time to work with a new regime and game plan. -
MELBOURNE v PORT ADELAIDE - PREGAME

If you have been to the Bruce Springstein concert you will know how impressive it was to give up those tickets. He was fantastic. Sorry Jane to rub it in. -
That makes me feel better.

Yes, I thought Watson said "thats Trengove" when Neeld was talking about being able to keep players at a Club. I would love to know what he meant by that. Is Sheedy going to target Jack at the end of the year because there is no way that Buddy will be joining the hillbilly team.

Anyone planning on renewing their membership on Sunday get there early as I think there will be plenty of people out there with the same idea. You wouldn't want to miss the first bounce. -
Training - Tuesday 26th March, 2013
Longsufferingnomore replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Old for someone who seems usually so despondent you have made a big effort to go and watch training. Alternatively did you lose your way going home and happen on training!!! Do I detect a miniscule of enthusiasm in your observations. If so I am feeling very confident about Sunday. -
What Clubs Do You Love To Hate?

Thanks JC It was Laurie Fowler - memories are fading. I remember my Dad telling me just not say anything but even as little as I was I knew then and there that they were scum. -
What Clubs Do You Love To Hate?
Longsufferingnomore replied to Irish Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
1.Collingwood despise the Club and its supporters. I grew up with cousins barracking for the Woods and had to go to the football with them. Sheer agony. The day Ronnie Wearmouth (I think) king hit Flower before the game and nearly being beaten over head by a feral Collingwood supporter with her umbrella. Funny now but not at the time. 2.Essendon- witnessing supporters spit at their team as they went down the race and the disgraceful 2000 incident with Dean Wallis who knew prior to the game he was retiring. 3. Carlton - the most despicable, arrogant and unreasonable supporters and now even more given what they have got away with. 4. Hawthorn - pompous supporters and hate that they have come so far from the time of merger (and we haven't) Quite like going to the football with Swans and Bulldog supporters - usually reasonable I admire Geelong for what they have achieved and also love the chant Geeeeeelong - always makes me laugh Richmond - what can you say. I just feel sorry for them - bunch of no hoper supporters - nearly as bad as Collingwood -

Whats the feeling. Will Mitch play next week (given that there is no pain in his foot)? -
PRACTICE MATCH: CASEY SCORPIONS v PORT MELBOURNE

Coming from South East suburbs I have tried both roads and found that straight through Cranbourne is quicker. Doesn't matter how you get there just be there and support the boys. The players really do notice the support. -

Josh it is called Casey Fields. Presume you have the OK to go. You honestly cannot miss it if you continue through Cranbourne shopping centre and turn left at the main lights. Turn right and you will end up at the racecourse! Turn left and stay on main road and about 5min down that road you will go past the Cranbourne Sporting Complex on the left and just to the right in the distance you will see the light towers. Turn right at the lights. They are currently working on the area so lights may not be working. It is surrounded by new houses going up (more members). Enjoy yourself with all the other demon tragics trudging out to see our hero, Mitch. -
Delete thread. Denham saying we will will be wooden spooners and now this. Where are those razors.

Josh, there is public transport - Cranbourne train catch from Southern Cross or Flinders Street stations. When you get to Cranbourne station you will have to get a taxi. Alternatively, hire a car and take the drive out along South Eastern Freeway following the signs to Cranbourne (set the GPS for Casey Stadium). If you go through Cranbourne city centre take a left hand turn at the major intersection where the Race Course is. The stadium is about 5-10 minutes down the road on the right hand side. Dont get confused with a sporting complex on the left hand side. Look for the lights inside a giant carpark. From the city it should take about 40minutes. Yes on normal Casey games you are allowed out on the ground to listen to the Coach's address. There isnt much in the way of "undercover seating" so either be early or be prepared to sit on the grassy knolls! Can't tell you what time but if you go to the MFC site or ring the Club on 96521111 and they can confirm for you. Hope this helps. Enjoy. -
Not that we know of.

More home games in Darwin coming...
Longsufferingnomore replied to stuie's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't mind this especially if it can be time slotted appropriately for TV viewing. As well would be a good opportunity to bring in Webjet to offer packages to supporters to make the trek. -
Aha Garrry getting a slight dig into Caro. How well will she take this. I hope he or CH bring it up next show. For mine wouldnt touch him or so rumour goes, his family.
