Franklin: Hawthorn's Voldemort
Longsufferingnomore replied to Elwood 3184's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe Robbo got the Club wrong but the gist of the article was correct - all based on extra ambasadorial payments. Can you imagine Jeff K reaction to this - AFL assisting another Club to poach one of their players. Sounds familiar. -
Just confirmed that the bus service from Cranbourne Rail Station to Casey will commence at 12.50pm and the timetable will be aligned with train arrivals. The last bus will be at 2.30pm to Casey.

Franklin: Hawthorn's Voldemort

Oh, so it's OK to sit by and watch us getting raped. That would be right. -
Same as what Buckley got when Eddie was King of FS.

After Robbo's "scoop" this morning I would like to see the AFL come out with a list of all players receiving an ambassadorial payment. I heard that Natanui receives a payment (promoting the game to Fijians - hope Rodan gets the same to promote the game to breakdancers) and that Pavlich also receives an additional payment through the AFL. Who knows what for though. To hear Vlad's outcry over the article - what a load of bollocks. If Buddy decided to go to GWS , the ink on the cheque wouldn't be dried before it got to him. What a sham.

Jimmy, did Hogan continue where he left off last week. From the broadcast he didnt seem to get a mention (but then again not many of our players did).

Just looked up the AFL site and you can buy tickets through Ticketmaster but they are $20.00 plus handling fee of $3.95. I am sure last year they were $10 - AFL inflation 100%

Or lets equalise the teams with their Etihad contracts. Oh good and who gets shafted. Let me think us and Port but then lets not forget Vlad gave them millions so that they could go to Milan. That's Milan (Italy) not Darwin. No wonder half of us here have conspiracy syndrome.

If anyone has not noticed both Leighoak and Bentleigh Club have a fantastic deal for this game. It is includes lunch, bus trip out to Casey, entry to the game and a "roast dinner" on your return - all yours for $50 adults. Parking and getting out of the ground will be horrendous and seating probably non-existing so get on board the bus and support the Club. There are more details on the Club's website.

Given the AFL conspired restrictions on CC I would have doubted that the only role that he could have at Casey would be liaison with Casey - anything that will not bring him in "contact" with MFC players.

Not taking into account any match ups my team based on Friday night would be: FB - Nicholson/ Frawley / McDonald HB - Dunn / Garland / Watts C - Grimes / Jones / Blease HF - Howe / Pedersen /Toumpas FF - Davey / Dawes / Byrnes Ruck - Jamar / Sylvia / Viney Int (from) - Rodan, Sellar, McKenzie, Kent, Spencer, Evans, Jetta I am not convinced about Pedersen and Sellar could come in for him with Jake as the resting ruck. I liked the few things Pickles Evans did and the same with Kent. I am sure this will change as the NAB progresses.

This is just based on what I saw on Friday night and also no idea of match ups: FB: Nicholson Frawley McDonald HB: Dunn Garland Watts C: Grimes Jones Blease HF: Howe Pederson Kent FF: Davey Dawes Brynes R: Jamar Sylvia Viney Inter: from Rodan Toumpas Spencer McKenzie Sellar Magner As the NAB progresses we will see how the dynamics change.

Chris Connolly - a good man to fill the silence
Longsufferingnomore replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
If you had ever spoken to CC you would know that he bleeds red and blue and now he has shown what a true MFC man that he truly is. Sure he can be a little loose lipped but all that know him know that is the way he is, never short of a word and always happy to speak to all and sundry. It is a pity that all this support did not come out when he was facing the interrogators. Why he was not accompanied to the inquisition by a lawyer is beyond me and in this respect he was let down by the Club for not providing legal representation at the time. -
Jake copped one on the boundary in front of us and should have been freed then ran to the centre bounce to be told to go off he had blood on his head - well deh how did he get blood on his head ump. One of the very bad umpiring decisions tonight.
-
Not such a bad idea.

ROUND - 6... 'bruise free' round?
Longsufferingnomore replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Old are you permanently miserable. Is there nothing to get you to see the bright side (apart from your grandaughter). We are on the cusp of greatness - go wild and go to Etihad and support the boys. You never know you may even enjoy watching it live! (The game not you.) -

WYL hope you like single malt. -
Undoubtedly the Club will know now and it will only be a matter of time before the whispers will start. Patience.
